This March 2015, RadioReverb is 8! To celebrate, we held our all-live birthday Reverbathon weekend again. And thanks to you, the £3,000 target was smashed! REVERBATHON MARCH 6th-8th 2015 You did it! Thank you to our generous listeners and sponsors - you broke through the £3,000 fundraising target. RadioReverb is now eight years old! And like any eight-year-old, we're funny, insightful, unpredictable, inventive and occasionally downright wilful. To mark that anniversary, we held another "Reverbathon" fundraiser, broadcasting live from Friday evening of March 6th to midnight on Sunday 8th March 2015. The Reverbathon is RadioReverb's annual fundraiser. We don't take advertising because we know our listeners don't like ads, so we're dependent on our generous business sponsors and listener donors to help keep us ad-free and independent. Nobody is paid to work on RadioReverb - we're all volunteers and we do it because we have a passion for radio, and we love Brighton and Hove and believe the city deserves a radio station that really reflects its character, communities and interests. We'll have live music sessions from local bands, our reporters will be out making location features and our studio guests will provide lively conversation about local events and matters. Sunday 8th March is International Women's Day so from 8am to the close of the Reverbathon at midnight we had a roster of all-female presenters. RadioReverb is proud to have more female presenters than all the other local radio stations combined, so the Reverbathon gives us a chance to celebrate that fact and highlight the skills and talents of women presenters and producers. RadioReverb turns eight this March, which is no mean achievement for an organisation run entirely by volunteers. These are challenging times for community radio, but RadioReverb continues to thrive because we are all about Brighton and Hove, and listeners and sponsors know that. Our volunteers are also committed, highly professional and great ambassadors for a radio station that holds Brighton and Hove at the very heart of what we do. You surpassed our target of £3,000, which will help buy some new equipment, pay the rent for a few weeks, meet some of our running costs and licence fees. You can still make a donation which will count toward that - and very pound counts. You can also join our supporters' scheme for a donation of £20 or more. Your help is really appreciated.
