She is the host of The Brighton Book Club on Radio Reverb and has run a successful writing group for the last four years. she's recently finished her first novel, which is set in Yorkshire and explores grief, sexuality, intergenerational friendships and drag.We all know The Ick. Whatever it is, once you've got the ick there's no going back from it and, for better or worse, it's onto the next swipe. The Little Book of Ick is a celebration of the dating phenomenon that plagues millions. Split into chapters that chart all the stages of finding love, this book is a collection of 500 hilarious icks: some you'll have already encountered, all ready for you to use when you need to get over someone.Up next we chat about our favourite Ick's, hopefully providing reassurance that it's fine to be fussy, and how leaning into the ick might even sooth your heartbreak one day.Submit your dating questions through madsworld.mp3, and my guests and I will answer them on the show! My guest today on The Happy Head Podcast is Lisa Moore. Lisa Moore, Fit For Moore, Fit For Everything! Her Mission: To Inspire women in their 40’s, and beyond to live the life that they truly want and not one they feel is expected of them by ditching their guilt, listening to their instincts and looking after their physical, emotional and mental health. Bio: Lisa runs her Health and Wellbeing Business, Fit For Moore Online and is also the Regional Director for The Athena Network in East and MId Sussex, Curator of Inspiring Talks Brighton. And Co Host of the Brighton Business Show on Radio Reverb. Passionate about helping women to re-evaluate their beliefs. Their work together results in huge increases in confidence, energy and motivation. She coaches women to pursue their dreams without feeling like they’re letting anyone down, or being selfish and helping them to get that clarity on what they really want their life to be like. ‘I truly believe that we are only on this planet for a short amount of time and we must not waste time worrying about what others think or allowing our internal fears or thoughts hold us back from pursuing our dreams.’ Lisa Having worked in the Corporate world for 15 years, as well as a Personal Trainer, Holistic Therapist and Coach in the health and fitness industry for over 30 years, Lisa has immense experience of understanding people their habits, behaviours and mindset, especially what holds them back and what propels them forward. Her personal journey with Imposter Syndrome, Divorce and Single Parenting led her to the world of Professional Speaking and she truly believes that sharing our stories is the first step to healing and transformation. Lisa also believes wholeheartedly that ‘Health‘ is the most important thing that we own. How we see ourselves manifests in our health: lack of energy can manifest as low mood and lead to a detrimental effect on physical, mental and emotional health. Everything is linked, health is not just about physical fitness or nutrition but how we talk to ourselves inside and how we talk to others outside. It is all encompassing. Lisa’s true gift is in uncovering the areas that hold you back. Helping you to see and feel things differently and she does this in an authentic, kind and supportive way. www.fitformoore.co.uk https://www.linkedin.com/in/lisa-moore-1044421/ https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=737399458 https://www.facebook.com/groups/fearlessandpowerfulwoman https://www.facebook.com/FitForMoore https://www.facebook.com/inspiringtalksbrighton https://www.facebook.com/AthenaEastandMidSussex Your host - Paul Wilson WHAT I DO: I help people with an alcohol problem get sober, stay sober and take back control of their lives. WHO I WORK WITH: I partner with business owners, executives, and those with high pressure targets. HOW IT WORKS: We start with a free strategy call. If we agree that we're a good fit, we'll diary three sessions, usually about a week apart. WHAT OTHERS SAY: "I’d been drinking alcohol on a regular basis for several decades, always thinking I’d stop one day. I heard about Paul’s work and decided to give it a try. What did I have to lose? After years of struggling with my issue, I was blown away with how easy it was to change. Paul has a calming, grounded energy and I immediately felt at ease in his presence. Despite the obvious apprehension prior to my first session, I was able to totally relax and be in the moment from the outset. The urge to drink alcohol literally disappeared overnight. There were a few fleeting moments where I thought about it briefly, but these soon faded once the change was embedded into my subconscious. The whole process took a mere 3 weeks, which I found astounding. I would thoroughly recommend Paul as a practitioner for making positive changes in your life. He was incredibly supportive during the process. I didn’t need any help between sessions, but he offers this as part of the service. At the end he even guided me through the methods I could use on myself for any other change work I wanted to do. I have tried this at home and it works. As a result, I feel empowered to create further change and steer ever closer to my life goals. Thank you Paul, you have changed my life for the better!"
