Glenn Langohr! No one messes when Glenn flexes! Before becoming a best selling author, Glenn Langohr ran away from a broken home and entered the drug war with abandon. Business with the Mexican Mafia and Hell's Angels became a way of life until the Criminal Justice system interrupted him. In prison he was involved in riots and spent years in the hole. From solitary confinement he started writing and hasn't stopped since. B.J, a white inmate, serving time on drug charges, gets caught up in a Mexican gang war. The northern California Mexicans demand that the southern California Mexicans keep their shirts on to cover up their gangland tattoos. The prison explodes into chaos as each building erupts in deadly violence. For B.J, the war isn't over when he and over a hundred inmates get housed in solitary confinement, it's just beginning. For getting involved, he's labeled a southern Mexican ganster. The hardcore action unfolds like a movie in this bare bones thriller of true crime. "I want to show the world and the students and leaders of tomorrow, that we are only building bigger criminals by locking up low level offenders. In prison, an addiction is bred into an affliction much harder to escape." Help him show the world redemption is possible, buy and share his books. The author will gift his books FREE from the Kindle store to those who can't afford it. In a jail cell in 2002 Glenn felt God urging him to start writing books. With 7 years of a prison sentence for drug trafficking left he obeyed. Filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, Glenn wrote for a year and then questioned if it was God who was urging him to write. Within a week a random letter arrived from Hope for Today Ministries in Tustin, Californiathat was addressed to an inmate who went home over a year prior. Inside the letter was a little note that said, “Here is what you asked for on how to write books.”  Over 17 years later, God has used Glenn to publish over 77 books. The first 10 books shined a light on the drug war and prison conditions that he spoke about on TV and in radio interviews. Then he started writing prayer books and became confused on how people would judge him, especially within the church. He began to realize that God’s Plan of Redemption is to be bold to explain what God delivered him from. He now writes about the prophecies of God that point to Jesus Christ and feels compelled to preach the Gospel.  In this episode Glenn discusses how he left his life as a drug dealer on the streets with his younger brother to sell meth surrounded by Mexican cartel and finally find his way to preach the Word of God. The Enemy had him locked in fear and self-loathing, but he found his way to Christ. Glenn’s journey is inspiring. Be blessed and be welcome at God’s Men of Influence. Sword and Scale True Crime

This week we're joined by former ex-inmate Glenn Langohr, who spent 10 years behind bars at some of California's toughest level 4 prisons, before reinventing himself as a best-selling author. His latest book, Prison Riot, takes the reader through the details of an actual prison riot he was involved in at California's Solano State Prison. We also talk to Professor Natasha A. Frost, author of the book The Punishment Imperative: The Rise and Failure of Mass Incarceration in America, about America's addiction with prisons and exactly how much it is costing us. We'll also show you how to make your own prison alcohol and taste test some prison food known as Nutraloaf (or Nutriloaf).
