When Liam Nugent closed down his digital agency he accounted for all the digital stuff they had created. Each employee was generating about 100 gigabytes of data a year. When they cleaned up all this data so as to give a quality hand-off to their clients, they found that 99.9% of the 8 terabytes of data they had created was useless. This week Ed and Hannah welcome regular guest and extraordinary human man Peter McGann to the studio. Peter is an actor, writer and booking agent for alternative comedian Liam Nugent. The main topic of conversation is the (mostly failed) auditions the gang have endured and the pitfalls of the entertainment industry in general. Aslo, Peter says something that had to be censored but almost throws Ed off his stride, what was it? we will never know.

Actor, Comedian, and Writer Peter McGann joins Alan and Ellen to talk about the first Pierce Brosnan Bond movie, 1995’s GoldenEye. You might know Peter better as his unsettling alter-ego Liam Nugent or from the Republic of Telly. Today, however, he’s here as our pal who knows a lot about James Bond. Ellen watched GoldenEye for the first time for this podcast. Alan watched it for the second time. Everybody had a lot of opinions about it. We had a very nice time and we hope you will too. You can see Peter in The Liam Nugent Variety Hour on August 11th in Brewery Corner, Kilkenny as part of the Alternative Kilkenny Arts festival. Important news: we’re taking Juvenalia to the people! That’s right, Juvenalia LIVE in the Tivoli Theatre, September 27th as part of the Dublin Podcast Festival by HeadStuff and Aiken Promotions. We’re sharing a bill with The Alison Spittle Show with Alison obviously being the main event what with her being famous and popular and everything. Alan and Ellen were joined by comedian Liam Nugent and Fr. Declan Quigg of the Film Palz podcast to talk about The Exorcist. Things went awry. Truths were revealed. We all learned a lot about ourselves and each other. It’s kind of about The Exorcist and kind of about trendy loolas and kind of about The Godfather and kind of about Liam’s mam. We hope you like it. You can hear more from Fr. Quigg and occasionally Liam Nugent on the Sunday Sermon podcast. Liam Nugent performs regularly at his local community centre and tries out jokes on twitter Special thanks to Giles Brody and Peter McGann for putting us in touch with Quigg and Nugent.
