Things do not go as planned, as Sora and Riku are separated at the beginning and forced to contend with Xehanort's machinations. We've learned a lot through the first four Kingdom Hearts games, but everything you think you know is about to change with Birth By Sleep. In part one we'll focus on the first of the game's three protagonists, Terra, whose struggles with the darkness and flaws cause tragedy. We are also introduced to the overarching antagonist of the Dark Seeker Saga, Master Xehanort, whose careful plotting behind the scenes has influenced the events in the previous games. Riku takes over once more to finish off Young Xehanort, and Master Xehanort closes out the game with a pitch for the story of Kingdom Hearts 3. Took the weekend to think about Dark Road and all of its implications. Can't help but feeling like Xehanorts life was quite tragic. As part of Microsoft's X018 event, we got to see a new Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer and there was a ton of new details revealed! We got to hear Master Xehanort's new voice, some new footage from Big Hero Six and some new spoilerific scenes featuring Sora, Axel and Kairi! It means there's an absolute boat load of things to discuss and with Sabrina and Churro joining Branden, there are loads if opinions too! In addition, there's also a question from the community about the Radiant Garden being offered up as potential downloadable content.

Everyone's talking about Final Fantasy XV right now following a rather successful Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event. It poses the question, should Kingdom Hearts adopt a similar model?   Branden is joined by Churro as they discuss whether or not Kingdom Hearts, as a franchise, should look to start releasing multiple properties (not necessarily games) within a year, but release them less frequently outside of these sprints, or just stick to a single release every year.   There are also some questions relating to who will voice Master Xehanort in Kingdom Hearts 3 and another relating to the theory behind Emblem Heartless - not something that should be missed!

Kingdom Hearts Union Episode 76 and it is marked by the return of Kingdom Hearts University! Yes, that's right, Branden is back with Churro and Sabrina to educate listeners on a brand new topic from the world of Kingdom Hearts and this time it's Kingdom Hearts Chi. The topic was suggested by Patreon backer William Helmrich and it proves a rather interesting one, as without going into spoilers, the group talk about the connections with Chi and the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3. The group also have the unfortunate news of talking about some recent passings in the world of Kingdom Hearts as both the English and Japanese voices for Master Xehanort passed away and there is also another special mention for Monty Oum. There's also some room for some intense questions from the community at the end of the show and we have a track from Mree (on YouTube), which you really won't want to miss out on.
