This week's Alabama Saltwater Fishing Report recaps the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo with Capt. Tanner Deas, Capt. Branden Collier, and Dr. Dylan Kiene. The roundtable covers a huge weekend of inshore, offshore, and live-release fishing, including Branden and Tanner's 101-flounder day, tough Saturday inshore conditions, and how low oxygen, nip tides, jubilees, wind-blown banks, and water stratification may have affected the bite. Dr. Dylan Kiene brings the fisheries-science perspective from the judge's table, breaking down the speckled trout, flounder, redfish, and live-weigh-in categories, including the success of the new live triple tail category and the value of tagging healthy fish for future research. The crew also talks through the Gulf-wide cobia and triple tail tagging project, acoustic tags, high-dollar reward tags, and what anglers should do if they catch a tagged fish. Offshore, Capt. Branden Collier explains how he targeted big red snapper and mangrove snapper with heavy tackle, big live baits, strong drag, and structure-focused fishing during one of the Gulf Coast's biggest fishing weekends. The Devil's Ledger | Week of July 20, 2026 This week on The Devil's Ledger, we celebrate an unforgettable month of football, explore one of the eeriest true crime deceptions of the digital age, conclude a haunting summer novella, and revisit two of the most compelling criminal investigations we've covered this year. We begin by congratulating Spain on capturing its second FIFA World Cup title after a thrilling championship match, while tipping our hats to North America for hosting one of the greatest sporting events the world has ever seen. Then, in The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week, Branden examines the chilling murder of Gretchen Anthony and one of the most disturbing realities of the digital age: how a killer continued communicating with friends and family using the victim's own phone after her death. In a world where our phones have become extensions of ourselves, what happens when someone else begins speaking in your voice? On The Devil Within, Campfire Files comes to its unforgettable conclusion with The House That Hadn't Been Emptied. An Arizona couple's peaceful vacation along the rocky coast of Maine ends with a locked room, a mysterious caretaker, and a suitcase that somehow knows exactly who it's waiting for. It's a quiet, literary ghost story about memory, history, and the unsettling possibility that some houses never truly let their guests leave. Over on Criminal Mischief, Carolyn Ossorio concludes her investigation into the Pike County Massacre, following investigators as they unravel one of the most shocking murder conspiracies in modern American history after nearly an entire family was executed in a single night. On The Slippery, Scott and Nancy revisit a case they've pursued for nearly a decade: the 2006 murder of Doris Worrell. Following a dramatic arrest in 2025, they examine new evidence surrounding an alleged murder-for-hire plot that may finally bring long-awaited answers. Finally, in This Week in Horror, we recommend The Bay, a tense open-water survival thriller that proves the ocean can still be one of the scariest places on Earth. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay alert. You never know what's waiting around the next corner... or beneath the surface. We'll see you this week across the Evio Creative Universe. In This Episode • ⚽ Congratulations to Spain on winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup. •

The Devil's Ledger Week of July 13, 2026 Summer may be in full swing, but the strange stories never take a vacation. This week on The Devil's Ledger, Branden Morgan takes you from one of America's most haunted Civil War landmarks to the shadowy tunnels beneath Paris, where history—and perhaps something else—still lingers beneath the streets. In The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week, we visit Pennsylvania's legendary Sachs Covered Bridge, a Civil War crossing steeped in stories of ghostly soldiers, phantom gunpowder, unexplained cold spots, and shadowy figures said to patrol the bridge more than 160 years after the Battle of Gettysburg. Then we head underground on The Devil Within, as Campfire Files continues with The City Beneath the City. What begins as an ordinary vacation to Paris becomes something far more unsettling when an American couple ventures into the infamous Catacombs beneath the French capital. Surrounded by the remains of more than six million Parisians, they discover that history may not be the only thing preserved beneath the City of Light. Over on Criminal Mischief, Carolyn returns with another investigation into the darker side of human nature. She still won't tell Branden what she's working on, so listeners will discover the mystery together when the new episode drops this Tuesday. On The Slippery, Nancy examines the heartbreaking wrongful-conviction case of Marilyn Mulero, whose coerced confession sent her to death row for a crime she didn't commit. It's a remarkable examination of Detective Reynaldo Guevara, false confessions, and the long road toward justice. Finally, in This Week in Horror, we spotlight Evil Dead Burn, the newest chapter in Sam Raimi's legendary horror franchise. A secluded family gathering becomes an unforgettable nightmare as an ancient evil transforms a reunion into absolute chaos. Stay cool, stay safe, and thanks for spending part of your week with us. We'll see you across the Evio Creative Universe. In This Episode •
The three mustaches tackle a spicy and sensational case that has all of our favorite things, and more. In 2023, a bizarre home invasion gone wrong in Herndon, Virginia resulted in the deaths of both the victim, and the alleged perpetrator. But, as detectives started trying to make sense of the senseless crime, it began to look as though the victim may have inadvertently orchestrated their own murder. Now it was up to the investigators to determine whether this really was a random act of violence, or one of the most brilliant murder plots they had ever seen. Learn more about your ad choices. Branden Hudson hosts a solo Champ Talk episode urging viewers to like, subscribe, and leave reviews, then discusses how widespread uncertainty—politics, wars, affordability, debt, and nonstop news and social media—drives inaction and negativity. He argues people should stay aware but stop obsessing over problems outside their control, focus on showing up for family and work, and take accountability as an action that reduces uncertainty. Branden shares his shift in political views, his past in the streets, incarceration, rebuilding through daily planning in jail, and how hard work, resilience, and a “puncher's chance” mindset can produce long-term payoff despite setbacks. He criticizes engagement with online drama over positive messages, reflects on how COVID pulled him into inaction, warns about phone addiction's impact on youth, and calls for more real leaders who build up communities and the next generation.00:00 Welcome and Subscribe00:40 Why Uncertainty Freezes Us02:42 Information Overload Trap05:05 From Blame to Ownership09:14 Hard Work Still Wins11:18 Punchers Chance Mindset14:57 My Turning Point Story17:01 Jail Cell Blueprint20:03 Focus on Your Home21:26 Negativity and Local Drama21:57 Haters and Purpose22:47 Accountability Kills Doubt23:31 Rewrite Your Story24:33 Criticism and Real Decisions26:46 Lead Without Politics28:16 Fighters Chance Mindset29:09 Addicted to Negativity33:36 COVID and Losing Focus35:10 Doomsday Cycles and Control36:47 Build the Next Generation39:04 Haves Have Nots Ahead40:09 Get to Work Closing

Branden Hudson thanks listeners for supporting Champ Talk and asks them to like, subscribe, review, and share, then recounts attending the UFC “Freedom Fight” event at the White House after his wife won access through a selection process. He describes the festival-like atmosphere, heavy security, favorable weather after earlier storm fears, and memorable visuals like lightning and a rainbow during the fights. He highlights the event's respectful tone, military presence, USA chants, and an absence of widespread protests or hostility despite diverse attendees, arguing this contrasts with online narratives of division. Branden praises the UFC's cultural impact and notes Donald Trump's early support of Dana White, then urges listeners—especially youth—to stop believing manipulated online content, research facts, and lead with discipline, unity, and long-term thinking while challenging older generations to mentor better.00:00 Welcome and Thanks00:55 UFC White House Hype01:41 Getting Tickets and Arriving03:43 Hotel and Pre Fight Day05:20 Storm Miss and Festival Vibes06:14 America UFC and Trump History07:44 No Division in the Crowd12:36 Fight Night Highlights14:40 Unity and What We Needed17:25 Politics and Personal Takeaways23:11 Stop Believing Online Rage24:07 Message to Youth Leaders29:29 Calling Out Older Generations33:09 Pivoting the Mission35:21 Final Charge and Sign Off
In this episode of BRAVE COMMERCE, Rachel Tipograph and Sarah Hofstetter speak with Branden Goodman, Head of Media & Marketing Capabilities, Beauty & Wellbeing US at Unilever, about how brands must adapt as algorithm-driven discovery reshapes consumer attention.Branden explains why Unilever has embraced a social-first approach, what the shift from follower-based discovery to interest-driven discovery means for marketers, and how content creation is evolving from a campaign mindset to a continuous system of testing, learning, and optimization. He also shares how Unilever is building a modern content supply chain, where automation can accelerate execution, and why measurement must balance long-term business outcomes with real-time signals.Key takeawaysConsumer discovery is shifting away from social connections (who users follow) and toward algorithmic recommendations (what platforms predict is relevant).Winning brands are building content engines designed for continuous experimentation, not one-time campaigns.Real-time signals can improve performance, but long-term business outcomes should remain the ultimate measure of success. In this Champ Talk episode, Branden asks viewers to share, like, subscribe, and leave reviews, then argues that many influencers, leaders, politicians, and gym owners give advice with “zero receipts,” often grifting since the COVID-money era. He condemns inauthentic leadership and highlights abuses in combat-sports gyms, saying misconduct tarnishes everything a coach has done. Contrasting this with his own perspective, he shares humble beginnings, early drug dealing, fighting, and later business-building as the experiences that give him credibility, while stressing he doesn't tell people how to live and admits his flaws. He urges listeners not to seek pity in hard times but to surround themselves with people who push growth, and to do real due diligence on anyone they follow, including him, because online content can radicalize people and distort truth.00:00 Welcome and Support00:47 Receipts Matter01:45 Fake Influencers Era02:24 My Perspective Not Preaching03:30 Gym Leaders Exposed05:21 Haters and Copycats07:04 Real Mentors Shoutout08:39 Humble Beginnings10:04 Turning Point at 1412:05 Street Life Lessons16:54 Building a New Life17:52 Authenticity and Mission20:22 Fame Boundaries21:04 No Sponsors Needed21:59 No Pity Mindset23:25 Legacy Mission24:59 Building Champions26:50 Real Leadership27:36 Giving Away Game30:08 Choose Your Circle31:28 Beware Fake Voices35:04 Do Your Due Diligence36:03 Research Beyond Feeds38:54 Why I Podcast39:50 Final Takeaways

On Champ Talk with Branden Hudson, Branden interviews friend and former training partner Enaka Beteck, now club manager at the new Truitt Street Boys & Girls Club and formerly a recreational coordinator at a juvenile detention center. Enaka explains his passion for helping local youth comes from growing up on Salisbury's east side and seeing how technology and influencers shape kids, pushing him to promote self-confidence and individuality. Born in Cameroon, he moved to Salisbury at age eight, describing culture shock, teasing, and feeling caught between high-achieving siblings and outside expectations, while his family's emphasis on academics kept him from street life. He discusses sports (track, football at UMES and Salisbury University, semi-pro aspirations) and boxing for conditioning. Enaka shares that depression in 2022 pushed him to pursue music publicly as a tool to tell working-class stories, build unity, and guide youth, and recounts a pivotal mentorship moment with a detained teen later turning his life around. This week, the pod receives the exact recognition you'd expect us to get and we react exactly like you'd expect. We're Brandenless again so to everyone who wrote in saying our last show was awesome bc we let loose, we're missing the randomness of Branden getting up mid pod, unannounced, to feed his dog (probably). We really do have the best time making this show so thank you for listening and to everyone at PodRanker, thank you for being so generous with your review of our dumb show. It is a thrill to welcome back my friend, singer-songwriter Max Bartos, to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. Max is New York's resident motherfolker! His folk and Americana music pairs introspective lyricism with anthemic folk-rock energy. As the frontman of Max Bartos and the Misfit Toys, he crafts songs rooted in storytelling and emotional honesty, with a modern acoustic sound shaped by influences such as Mumford & Sons and Noah Kahan. His latest release, Waiting At The Crossroads (2025) captures a defining chapter in his artistic evolution, expanding his folk and Americana foundation with richer dynamics and a more confident, fully realized identity. Fresh off a 30-date U.S. tour with The Misfit Toys, he continues to build momentum on the road. This spring, he joined acclaimed singer-songwriter Brendan James as direct support on a 14-date national tour from March 11 through April 1, further cementing his reputation as a compelling and emotionally resonant live act. Recently signed with Noble Steed Music, Max is steadily carving out his place in the modern folk landscape through intentional songwriting, immersive performances, and a growing catalog that connects deeply with listeners. On this episode of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Max Bartos shared the band's origin story, the stories behind his most-streamed Spotify songs, and supporting Branden James.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jake-s-take-with-jacob-elyachar--4112003/support.

We're joined by Laura Tripaldi: material scientist, writer, and researcher at the Center for AI and Culture at NYU Shanghai. You probably know her from Parallel Minds: Discovering the Intelligence of Materials (Urbanomic, 2022), an essay in book form that became a phenomenon in theory and art circles. Tripaldi's work challenges one of the strongest contentions within the philosophy computation: that intelligence is substrate-indifferent, that it can scale and migrate independent of what carries it. She argues the opposite, that you cannot separate intelligence from the materials through which it is conveyed. This becomes experimentally clear in her recent essay Substrates Unbound (Antikythera, 2025), where she tracks biocomputing systems like DishBrain — living neuronal cultures interfaced with silicon chips that don't execute pre-given code but reorganize, learn, and adapt. Mouse neurons and human neurons perform differently under the same training conditions. This reframes a central question of the moment: not 'can we scale intelligence,' but which matter are we asking to think, under what energy regime, and at what cost?References:Tripaldi, Laura. THE DEVIL'S LEDGER Week of January 26 — Blizzard Stories, History's Turning Points, and Hard Truths This week on The Devil's Ledger, winter takes center stage — both outside our windows and inside the stories we're telling. We open by acknowledging the massive snowstorm that's crippled much of the country, especially the Northeast, and how winter has a way of shrinking the world and amplifying the dark. ❄️ The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week comes straight out of a blizzard — a terrifying story that proves when visibility drops and isolation rises, the line between survival and disappearance gets dangerously thin.
