Weird News 55:10: Welp, it might happen again — TOKYOPOP, despite having publishing success in the past year or so due to their focus on shorter shoujo and BL works, may go belly up due to…N-Naruto?!?! 1:01:42: Toei Animation did confirm that there has not been a license agreement for a planned Dragon Ball manga-themed theme park in France, which means many questions must arise from this news; Kyo Shirodaira and Yuri Kimura is bringing The Record of a Fallen Vampire back after 19 years; Black Bullet is also shockingly coming back, this time though it’ll be rebooted; creator Kotoko announced that Megumi Dorokawa will take over as the artist for the Fake It to Break It! I Faked Amnesia to Break off My Engagement and Now He's All Lovey-Dovey?! manga, which is less weird but more rare for something like this to happen. 1:11:05: Normally a manga ending in Japan wouldn’t be in this section, but with Manga Diary of a Male Porn Star ending in Japan, maybe Seven Seas will finally be able to finish this series after stopping for some unknown reason; Let’s just say memecoin and Pokémon are not a great combination, and especially on X (Twitter), where security gets rougher and rougher for some users, it is disastrous. 1:18:50: And finally, there are more collaborations occurring, starting with again One Piece and SpongeBob being a thing, and now Dragon Ball Super and Burger King will also become a thing. Gamescom 2026 brought a lot of news for upcoming RPGs. In today's episode, we break down the latest Final Fantasy VII Revelation trailer, including the expanded Weapon encounters, Vincent's new backstory, the Fits system, and the enormous challenge Square Enix faces in marketing the final chapter without spoiling some of the biggest moments in the original Final Fantasy VII. As gaming gears up for another showcase season towards the end of August, Netflix has opened up the bag to get an extended look at Grand Theft Auto VI on August 27, and with it hitting YouTube some hours later, along with social media and all the sites. Final Fantasy VII Revelation will also get its time on the Geoff Keighley Gamescom Opening Night Live, there are reports that Kingdom Hearts IV also will get some time to shine at some point too. The men, the myths, the legends, Michael-Christopher Koji Fox (Localization Director at Square Enix) and Toshio “Foxclon” Murouchi (Head of Square Enix's Community & Service Division and Global Community Producer for Final Fantasy XIV), to be exact. In today's Daily Fix:FF7 Remake Trilogy director Naoki Hamaguchi isn't a fan of Sony's decision to stop supporting physical PS5 discs. Speaking at FF14 Fan Fest, Hamaguchi said it would be, quote, "a real shame for that culture to disappear," referring to physical media in games. He also said he's pushed for a physical release of the upcoming Final Fantasy 7: Revelations, but Square Enix has not made a final decision yet. In other news, Xbox Game Pass games for August have been announced, and the trial for Gears of War: E-Day leads the pack. And finally, Amazon and Dave Bautista are reportedly in talks for the star to replace Ryan Hurst in the Gears of War live-action series. Hurst was injured earlier this year on set, and recovery will apparently take too long for them to wrap production on time (not to mention, child co-star Callum Vinson, who may age out of the role during Hurst's recovery).
