The Cold Winds are rising and the dead have come to Castle Black! The Obsidian Nights Podcast is where we go thru A Song of Ice and Fire By George RR Martin (The unfinished book series that the TV Show Game of Thrones is based off of) Chapter by Chapter! Breaking down every little clue with guests from around the world. In this episode of Obsidian Nights, I am joined by Jason to throughly breakdown Bran 6 of A Game of Thrones the first book in the A Song of Ice and Fire Series. In Bran 6 there is alot of intresting tea going down. The chapter opens with The Northern Army forming in Winterfell and the Karstarks arriving. This Bran Stark chapter is packed with foreshadowing of Bran The Broken , Robb's going to War but not before being tested by the Northern Lords , Osha is warning Bran that Robb is going the wrong way , Maester Luwin is being irky and Bran spends alot of time in the godswood praying to the old gods. Rickon doesn't get it.. Lady's bones arrive at Winterfell. This is a juicy one! Thanks for Watching! Here we are at last, the much-anticipated Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 1 "Winterfell" has arrived. Eight years of intricate storytelling, twists, turns, betrayals, plots and schemes have been leading up to this point (I know, plots and schemes are the same thing).  This is the beginning of the end and, with so much riding on it, the first episode manages to exceed expectations while maintaining an impressive pace and plenty of heart.  Daenerys' army arrives in Winterfell, the Army of the Dead encroaches on the North, Euron delivers the Golden Company to King's Landing, the Northern Lords question Jon's leadership, Tormund and Beric explore the home of House Umber, Arya reunites with Jon Snow, Dany admits to the execution of Sam's family, the Night King leaves a grisly warning at Last Hearth, Jon (finally) learns of his true parentage, and Jaime comes face to face with a ghost from his past.  Game of Thrones Theme: Electric Guitar Cover - Kfir Ochaion If you enjoy the show please subscribe and leave a nice review on Apple Podcasts, and check out Patreon.com/TowerBabbleCast to become one of our latest patrons.

Welcome to another episode of Take the Black, Winter is Coming’s Game of Thrones podcast. This week, we are joined by Dan Selke and Richard Preston, and of course, the lovely Sarah is there are well, as we recap Game of Thrones season 7, episodes 1-4.Our topics:We all agreed the cold open in the premiere episode, "Dragonstone," was the best one in the entire series. We also agree that Jon and Sansa should have talked before meeting with the Northern Lords, as their arguing openly made them look foolish.Euron Greyjoy was a surprising delight, especially after his dull appearance in season 6.Sarah really liked the poop montage.During episode 702, "Stormborn," Corey Smith and Sarah talk about grumpy Daenerys. We all loved the war room scene at Dragonstone, as it was extremely empowering for women to have the leaders of each force to be a woman.Again, Jon and Sansa arguing in public was foolhardy. We loved the cinematography and amazing action from that action packed Greyjoy sea battle.Episode 703, "The Queen's Justice" was neat and so too was the first ever meeting of Dany and Jon.Sansa proved herself to be a fine regent of the North, in Jon's absence. The highpoint of the episode was Diana Rigg as Olenna Tyrel going out like a boss. "Tell Cersei. I want her to know it was me."In episode 704, "The Spoils of War," Bran came home and had a very muted reunion with Sansa. We all agree the high point, obviously was "The Loot Train Battle," and we discuss it in detail.
