Cold Open Transcript: Gabe Howard: I don't think we're allowed to have these thoughts. Let's say that I was a person that did not live with bipolar disorder. And I came up with the pie-in-the-sky idea. The conversation is negative, but it also sort of moves forward. People with bipolar disorder don't get that. We just get shut down immediately, told that this is a symptom of our illness and that we need to cease this line of communication. And so they withdraw all that help, they withdraw all that information, and they leave us to fend for ourselves. Which actually puts us in a worse position. Am I the Haunted? | Paranormal Podcast In our first-ever "Am I the Haunted?" episode inspired by the popular "Am I the Asshole?" format, we read three Reddit submissions and decide whether people are experiencing genuine paranormal activity using our new scale of haunted, probably haunted, or not haunted. Our first story comes from someone who moved into a new house and feels an overwhelming anxiety in their small office-turned-bedroom, bursting into tears the first time they stepped in and experiencing constant anxious spirals whenever they enter the room, with prayers and rebuking negative energy failing to provide relief. The second submission involves a person who woke up in the middle of the night to feel a mysterious presence in their pitch-black room, sensing someone standing there before feeling their mattress sink as if something placed a single foot on the bed to hoist itself up—yet nothing ultimately happened despite the mix of fear and curiosity they experienced. Our final story features someone convinced they're spreading a curse through their favorite book, which they've recommended to five different people including their boyfriend, best friends, and cousin—with every single person having a massive falling out with them within days to a month after borrowing the book, leading them to wonder if there's something supernatural at play.

Verlaine was an Aries sun, Leo Moon, and Scorpio ascendant.Arthur Rimbaud was born on October 20, 1854, and you can read more about him here. Rimbaud was a triple Libra (sun, moon, ascendant). Rimbaud met Verlaine in September 1871, a month before his 18th birthday. Following his tumultuous relationship with Paul Verlaine, which ended in 1873, Rimbaud traveled extensively through Europe, often on foot. He became a trader/merchant, selling coffee, hides, and eventually guns, becoming a "soldier of fortune." In 1891, a tumor developed on his right knee and forced him to return to Paris and died later that year at 37, without knowing how popular his poems had become in Symbolist circles.  The gun Verlaine used to shoot Rimbaud recently went up for auction.One of the poems Rimbaud sent to Verlaine in 1871 was "Le Dormer du Val," which you can watch recited as part of the Favorite Poem Project here. (Recited by chef Jacques Pépin.) Rimbaud and Verlaine wrote a collaborative poem, "Sonnet to the Asshole" which you can read (and read about) here.  In 2016, the poet Eileen Myles told The New York Times, "I think men should stop writing books. I think men should stop making movies or television. Say, for 50 to 100 years. Sounds great." Paranoia is one of the most misunderstood symptoms in bipolar disorder — and using the wrong word can delay the right treatment. Using real-life examples, this episode explains how psychosis in bipolar disorder is typically tied to mood episodes, how paranoid delusions form, and why people experiencing them often don't report symptoms.
