In Part 3 of our recap and review of the final season of Game of Thrones, the guys discuss Episode 2, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. A slower paced, but very powerful, second Episode focused heavily on the characters we have grown to know and love over the prior seven seasons. With the Night King on the way to Winterfell, this is literally the calm before the storm. Jaime stands trial for his past crimes against the Starks and receives a critical endorsement, at a crucial moment, from Brienne. Now long after, in one of the most emotional moments of the series, Jaime returns the favor and knights Brienne, fulfilling a lifelong dream for her. Sansa and Daenerys try to find common ground, Arya is looking for love (well, sort of) right before the end and, in a moment with far reaching implications, Jon comes clean to Daenerys about his true heritage right as the Night King arrives at Winterfell. Episode 2 is quite clearly not the problem with Season 8 and they guys break it all down for you here on Game Gone Wrong?More than 6 years after its last Episode, Game of Thrones' Final Season remains one of the most controversial and divisive seasons in TV history. But Dave has never watched the final season…until now. Almost 6 years after its last Episode, Game of Thrones' Final Season remains one of the most controversial and divisive seasons in TV history. But Dave has never watched the final season...until now. In this limited run, seven-part, special series, Dave, PC Tunney, and DJ revisit the final season one Episode at a time (Dave for the first time) and answer the enduring question….was it as bad as so many claimed? In Part 2, before jumping into Episode 1 of Season 8, the guys discuss something taken straight from the page of Game of Thrones and made very real: the return of dire wolves. Science has brought a species back from extinction, and it just so happens to be one of the most enduring animals in the Game of Thrones series. The guys explore the pros and cons of this fantastic development and speculate what science might be trying to resurrect next. Then, we get into it. Winterfell, the first Episode of Season 8, had all sorts of things going on. Much of it centered on Jon Snow, who rides a dragon and discovers he is the true heir to the Iron Throne. Euron finally got what he really wanted. Theon's path to redemption seems in full swing, the Night King leaves a disturbing message, and, as Jamie Lannister arrives in Winterfell, he comes face to face with Bran Stark in an uncomfortably awkward moment. Did the guys have any issues with this first Episode? Join us as and find out whether we think Game of Thrones has gone off the rails yet.About the Chairshot Radio NetworkLaunched in 2017, the Chairshot Radio Network presents you with the best in sports, entertainment, and sports entertainment. Was this Cody's sister's first episode of Game of Thrones? How many books still need to be written? Would Anthony rather have anybody else than Jake or Cody as his Hand of the King? Do we hate the Sparrows? What do they call zombie Mountain in the book? What advantage do the White Walkers have? What do we learn in this episode is a weakness of the White Walkers? What comic book movie did the actor who played The Night King appear in? Could we be dragon riders? Whose claim to the throne would we support? Does Daenerys do lots of good in Essos? Do we wish we could have seen Jon Snow and Daenerys' relationship fleshed out more? What song should be made into a haunted version for this episode? Is Tim Robinson one of the biggest names in comedy now? Is there The Night King and The Night's King in the book? Was The Night King's death a terrible end to the White Walkers? A recap of the mid week fixtures as Unai upsets Pep, Arsenal comeback again and United show they still got something.
Marketing is a game. It has its own players, rules and rewards. And the stakes are high. So we're here to help you win the battle for the Iron Throne. In this episode, we're bingeing the epic HBO drama Game of Thrones to see what it can teach us about playing the game of marketing. Here to help us is Datadog CMO Alex Rosemblat. And together, we're exploring how to win the battle by keeping your oath, using the rules of the game to your advantage, and putting your dragons to good use. So don your furs and prepare for battle as we charge into this episode of Remarkable.About our guest, Alex RosemblatAlex Rosemblat is Chief Marketing Officer at Datadog. Prior to his current role, Alex served as the Product Marketer for Dell's Cloud and Virtualization product family (via the acquisition of VKernel), bringing virtualization management and cloud monitoring software products to market. Alex has 15 years of experience with enterprise software and related technologies through product management, IT consulting, and pre-sales engineering with Symantec (via the acquisition of SwapDrive) and Epic Systems Corporation. He has spent the last 8+ years at DataDog, and helped lead the company to its successful IPO in 2019.About DatadogDatadog is a SaaS-based monitoring and analytics platform for large-scale applications and infrastructure. Combining real-time metrics from servers, containers, databases, and applications with end-to-end tracing, Datadog delivers actionable alerts and powerful visualizations to provide full-stack observability.About Game of ThronesGame of Thrones is a massively successful epic fantasy series with an impassioned following. It's about a civil war among noble families who are fighting for control over the iron throne that rules the lands of Westeros. Meanwhile an ancient enemy - the Night King - returns after being dormant for thousands of years. There are three major plot lines: the first is about the fight for the iron throne among the families. The second is about the rightful heir coming back to claim the throne. And the third is about the incoming winter, as seasons don't have a worldly timeline, and so the summer has lasted something like a decade. The winter also implies hard times and the threat from the North, where the wildlings and Night King live. It's based on the book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin published in 1996. The series was created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss for HBO. And it has a massive ensemble cast of over 500 characters. The show stars Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen, Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Kit Harington as Jon Snow, Maisie Williams as Arya Stark, and more. It premiered in 2011 with eight seasons that wrapped up in 2019. That year, it was HBO's most watched show and the most watched scripted show on TV, period. It had a total show budget of $1.5 Billion, and has earned $3.1 Billion through HBO subscriptions alone as of May 2019. It was filmed in the United Kingdom, Canada, Croatia, Iceland, Malta, Morocco, and Spain. What B2B Companies Can Learn From Game of Thrones: Keep your oath. And only market what you can deliver. It's when you live up to your oath that you build trust and earn brand loyalty. Ian says, “If you say you're going to do something in your marketing, you better be damn sure that sales can deliver on that, that your product can deliver on it, and that customer success is going to be there if you fall short of that. Because so often we get out way over our skis. We're pitching a product that doesn't exist yet. And that's going to make people way madder than if you just didn't promise it in the first place.” So don't break your oath like Jamie Lannister did when he killed the king. Ian says, “That follows him forever.” So keep your brand promise - or your “oath” - and deliver on what you market.Play the marketing game. Be strategic in your marketing tactics. Experiment and use what works. And don't overthink it. Small, steady successes are how you win the game. Alex says, “In demand gen sometimes you set up ads that are kind of gimmicky, and it'd be nice to do something a little bit more cerebral. But hey, you know, people like the jingle or, you know, whatever it is. And I think that there's a fair amount of pragmatism If you stick to that and you don't have this big ideology or this grand picture that you're trying to fill the pieces on. You just keep on stringing together successes of what works even if they're very moderate and small scale. Everything is a stepwise function, and you build your way up pretty high, just like Bronn does in the show.”If you have dragons, use them. Don't chain them up. Alex says that especially if you're a startup, you need all the help you can get getting your brand off the ground. He says, “If you have any kind of secret weapon, you better use it. And you're probably going to want to use it pretty early on. You're not going to want to sit on it.” So call up your old classmates who are well connected. Leverage the talents and skills of your employees to make something great. For Alex, he said his secret weapon was that “I understood the persona we were selling to super well. And everything that went out the door was uniquely tailored to what a technical person would react well to. And the stats at the other end just kind of pop off the charts.”Quotes*”Being good at growth marketing is being scrappy. Trying things out, not being afraid to lean into something even if it is a little bit hacky if it works. This week on "We Don't Wanna Podcast," join Zach and Scott as they dive deep into the darkness and drama of "Game of Thrones" Season 8, Episode 3 - "The Long Night." While this episode has polarized fans, our dipshit duo finds themselves mostly in favor, lauding its unique blend of non-stop action and poignant character moments. Prepare for a journey through an episode where the pacing is as sharp as Valyrian steel. It's rare to see a show pull off an hour-long battle that doesn't overstay its welcome, but "The Long Night" does just that. It masterfully slows down for reflective moments, then surges forward with adrenaline-pumping action, all while weaving individual storylines into a tapestry of epic storytelling. Highlights? Oh, we've got them! From the hauntingly beautiful scene of the Dothraki charging into the abyss, to the dragons clashing in a breathtaking aerial battle, this episode is a visual feast. And let's not forget the heart-stopping tension as Jon Snow races against time, culminating in Arya's legendary takedown of the Night King. Zach and Scott are here to break it all down: the strategy, the spectacle, and the suspense. Tune in for their insightful and humor-filled take on one of "Game of Thrones'" most ambitious episodes.
We're back again for another episode of Mind Gap Podcast! This week, Justin gives an update on his puppies poop problems before Doug dives into his experience with rewatching Game of Thrones. He digs in on one particular episode to talk about the poor battle tactics used, how he feels now about the showdown between Arya and The Night King, and why being a king would be awful. The dorks then discuss the “art” exhibit from Maurizio Cattelan which involves a banana taped to a wall and how someone “accidentally” ate the exhibit. Things are wrapped up with another Ask Practical Doug, where Doug answers an AITA question from Reddit about a young man who ate doughnuts while unexpected visitors showed up at his home and he didn't offer them any. We're reached it people. The point where things really started to go wrong. Dom & Pat break down the long awaited episode "The Long Night," the eponymous fight that pits all of our heroes up to this point fighting with the Night King's army of the dead at Winterfell. Directed by Miguel Sapochnik in his first episode since the season 6 finale, this episode was interestingly received when it was first released, not for any of the major story developments that it took, but mostly that people had a hard time seeing the action, which is ironically the one thing that has nothing to do with the show itself, as TV's at the time simply did not have the features at the time to display the action correctly, in its entirety. The episode is primarily one big action set piece, and the longest one the show had yet, with the episode clocking in at a whopping 82 minutes, the longest in the show's entire run. Despite all the amazing action set pieces, Dom & Pat come to the conclusion that the thing that ruined this episode was too many characters to keep track of, which really ruins the chances that they were all going to have satisfying arcs across the episode, along with the still confusing decision to resolve the threat of the Army of the Dead here rather than have them be the final boss of the show. It's all covered here in the latest episode of #talkinthrones be sure to stay tuned for the last 3 episodes leading up to the finale! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/talkintvpodcastgmailcom/support

We've reached it people. What we set out to do all those moons ago, we've finally done. We've made it to...the final season. Dreaded and critically maligned in the three years since its aired, Dom & Pat are aghast to discover that...it's not as bad as people may remember it. Now that's not to say that it doesn't have its fair share of flaws. The main concern seems to come down to Benioff & Weiss' decision to eliminate the Night King and the Army of the Dead at the halfway point rather than have the series conclude around them. This premiere episode sees Jon & Daenerys' combined armies arriving in Winterfell, meant to evoke how Robert Baratheon arrived in the series premiere, only for them to immediately be thrown into action when Bran warns them that the Army of the Dead has broken through the Wall. In King's Landing, Cersei greets the Golden Company and solidifies her alliance with Euron, while Theon rescues Yara before departing for Winterfell. It's a surprisingly solid premiere, and we cannot wait to break down the rest of this season for the final 6 episodes of #talkinthrones --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/talkintvpodcastgmailcom/support
We've reached it. One of the biggest moments of the show. The season 7 finale is an episode that has gone down in infamy as one that is both largely important and yet does absolutely nothing for the trajectory of the show. The Dragon & the Wolf alludes to the final alliance between Stark & Targaryen that is announced at the pivotal meeting taking place in the eponymous dragonpit in King's Landing. All the major players have arrived to negotiate, and while things seem to be going well at first, with Cersei & Euron being rightfully spooked by the undead soldier, it all falls apart when Cersei's attempt to get Jon to remain neutral fails with Jon revealing his official allegiance to Daenerys. Tyrion attempts to negotiate with her and supposedly succeeds, only for her to later reveal to Jaime that she has no intention of assisting in the Northern war in any way, a decision Jaime advises against, causing him to eventually leave her and head north, as the snows descend on the city. In Winterfell, Sansa & Arya are finally able to put their differences aside once they realize Littlefinger is the true enemy, while Sam's arrival allows him to compare notes with Bran, as they both realize that Jon is the true heir over Daenerys, setting up what should be a nice little conflict for the final season. It all ends with one of the greatest ending shots/scenes of any finale of this entire show, with the Night King riding the undead Viseryon and burning down the Wall, allowing the Army of the Dead to finally cross over into the land of the living. As we wind down, we're reminded of all the amazing moments we've shared over the years as we head into the very controversial final season and wrap up our run of #talkinthrones only on the #talkintvpodcast --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/talkintvpodcastgmailcom/support
We're back with another episode of Talkin' Thrones and things are heating up fast! This episode, titled "Eastwatch" really gets the ball rolling with getting the audiences prepared for the final war to come, with all the characters taking recent developments into consideration as the war with the dead approaches. Daenerys attempts to give fair judgement to the soldiers she spared after the loot train attack, but executes the Tarlys when they defy her. Jaime makes it back to King's Landing to warn Cersei, only to discover that she is steadfast in her resistance. But timing is everything, with the Night King getting closer and closer to the Wall, Jon & Tyrion come up with probably the most ludicrous plan in the history of the entire show's run: to somehow go north of the wall and bring an undead soldier south to prove to Cersei the existance of the army of the dead and get her to temporarily ally with them so they can fight the forces of the dead together. After Tyrion is able to successfully get a message to his siblings about the temporary cease fire and Davos retrieves Gendry from Flea Bottom, Jon heads to Eastwatch with his band of merry men to carry out this fool's errand, with the members of his team including a recently healed Jorah, Gendry, Tormund Giantsbane, as well as the Hound, Beric Dondarrion & Thoros of Myr. Elsewhere, Sam decides to leave the Citadel after realizing they're going to be no help, but not before Gilly discovers a crucial piece of information related to Jon's heritage. Sansa is also warned by Arya not to trust anyone that speaks out against Jon, only for her to fall for one of Littlefinger's schemes. It's another jam packed, action packed episode of #talkinthrones --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/talkintvpodcastgmailcom/support
Like Viserion inexplicably pulled from the sea by White Walkers possessing still-unexplained massive chains …… and at the direction of the Night King, a hilariously lame show-only creation of the now infamous and idiotic writing team of Weiss and Benioff …… rises again The Night is Dark and Full of Spoilers, with Maester Daniel and Ben of House Garrett, Lord of Oxford and Warden of North Mississippi. We land, of course, in the familiar, if dangerous and conniving, land of Westeros, 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, and at the height of House Targaryen's reign over the Seven Kingdoms.Consider this Great Council now in session, and Maester Daniel, having traveled many miles from the Citadel, explains this moment in history, the main players in this bloody (and fiery!) time in the Game of Thrones — where you either win or you die — and how the events unfolding connect to (or retcon) the series we all grew to love and eventually hate and pretty much forget completely for three long winters.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

We Built Our Own World ساخته Hans Zimmer از فیلم Inception. قطعه reflect (time) / tree whispers از موسیقی فیلم Stigmata ساخته Mike Garson و Billy Corgan. قطعه Gabriels Oboe ساخته Ennio Morricone از فیلم Mission. قطعهای از موسیقی فیلم The Grey با عنوان Writing the Letter ساخته Marc Streitenfeld. قطعه Bang Bang از Nancy Sinatra که در فیلم Kill Bill ساخته Quentin Tarantino استفاده شده است. Alright, this one's a big one, the biggest one we've done in a while. We've been building up to this one for the whole season, and rightfully so, because this episode is ultimately the one that determines the course of the rest of the show, Season 5, Episode 8 "Hardhome," rightfully named after the devastating battle that takes place when the White Walkers unexpectedly attack and brutally massacre most of the Wildling forces in the first true demonstration of their power. Miguel Sapochnik's action directing skills are put on full display here, as Jon's arrival to treat with the Wildlings is interrupted when they come under attack by the army of the dead. It's an event that was only briefly mentioned in the book, but it's put on full display here, as the first of a couple surprise battles that would demonstrate the show's much increased action budget was now on the level of most movies. Hell, they're still making memes about the Night King's final resurrection of all the dead wildlings along the shore. Elsewhere, Cersei is made to confess but refuses, Arya is given her first assignment by the Faceless Men, Sansa forces Theon to reveal the truth, Sam tries to reassure Olly and Tyrion barters for Daenerys' favor. We travel past the wall to the most northern point of Westeros and forensically investigate the mystery known as the Night King. Who was he? What did he want? Why was this plot hole so egregious?? I contend that this character's motivation was available on screen the entire time but missed by the majority of viewers due to the misleading plot presented on the show and culminates with the colossal miss in the final season. It sure seems like the crypt is the safest place in Winterfell. Anyone want to check it out? But wait ... considering these folks are about to fight, you know, AN ARMY OF THE UNDEAD, perhaps taking refuge in a crypt of their enemy's potential allies is a bad idea? To answer just this type of pressing question, Nerdette has once again joined up with our pal Peter Sagal to recap the latest episode of Season 8 of Game of Thrones, titled “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.”Tricia, Greta and Peter consider that thorny revelation in Jon and Dany's relationship, new insights into the Night King's (possibly benevolent?) motivations and Tormund Giantsbane's ridiculous origin story. What's the Night King doing with his ice dragon? Will Tyrion tell Daenerys that Cersei is pregnant? Is everyone on their way to Winterfell? And Hot Pie! Why is no one talking about Hot Pie?!
