Deux nouveaux invités pour l’émission estivale Bouts de Lecture sur MM Radio, présentée par Angela Peauty qui invite, dans un Paris estival, les amoureux de lecture à partager et conseiller leurs lectures de saison. Tout d’abord, Sindanu Kasongo, connu aussi sous le nom de Seend, journaliste spécialisé sur la culture Hip Hop, aujourd’hui responsable des programmes et antenne chez BET France et grand lecteur tout au long de l’année. “Je lis plusieurs livres en même temps. Au début, je m’interdisais ça et puis je me suis dit ‘attends, on peut regarder des séries en même temps donc pourquoi pas des livres en même temps ?’” Second Bouts de Lecture avec Jean-Philippe Leonetti, responsable compatibilité chez L’Agence Française, qui pour ses vacances en Corse, s’est plongé dans un roman biographique touchant et troublant intitulé “En finir avec Eddy Bellegueule”. “C’est un premier livre d’Édouard Louis, qui est un jeune écrivain — c’est autobiographique — qui raconte son enfance en Picardie, dans le milieu ouvrier et sa volonté un peu constante de vouloir sortir à la fois de cet univers et de ce qu’il s’y passe, notamment à l’école, parce qu’il est embêté par ses camarades. Il parle d’homophobie. C’est très intense.” BOUTS DE LECTURE, c’est 1 jeudi sur 2, jusqu’au 10 août 2017 sur MM RADIO !

I may only have lived in the Wiltshire village of Seend for about four or five months about ten years ago (seriously, ten?) but the fact that I had no job, nor was able to find one, meant that the music I listened to ended up with an extra resonance. Apart from looking for jobs I didn't know how to find, I spent an inordinate amount of time browsing through copies of Uncut magazine, back before it turned to shit, and buying albums based on how well I liked the songs they chose for their covermount CDs. There are a couple of other songs on this podcast, but I think the memories of Seend (including my goal in a 3-2 victory, having been 2-0 behind at half time) are still surprisingly strong. 01.
