Rhoda Nanre Nafziger is a Ph.D. in Education Theory and Policy and Comparative and International Education in the Department of Education Policy Studies at the Pennsylvania State University. Her research explores historical consciousness, identity, and civic engagement in Africana youth. Her recent studies examine how children and youth in Africa and the African Diaspora understand and interpret history, as well as how history education of Black youth is a contested terrain in need of reform.
