We are a podcast dedicated to reviewing single chapters of the worldwide, mega-hit manga series, Dragon Ball created by Akira Toriyama.
Just like when Goku took a break from being dead and came back to Earth for a day, Colton comes back to explain what in the hell happened to the podcast.
On our first anniversary episode, we start off with a little small talk right before all three of us talk about our respective upcoming projects. Then we move on to talk about how much Yamcha and Yajirobe contribute throughout the series, how much Toriyama lacks in the character development department, how much we dislike the supposed on-going licensing issues with Battle of Gods, etc. Everything except Chapter 22. Just like always. Thanks for listening to us for a whole year and enjoy!!
On this special episode of the podcast, Colton and Jon talk about their recent viewing of Dragon Ball Z movies 1 through 6. This includes: Movie 1 – Dead Zone, aka Ora no Gohan o Kaese!! (Return My Gohan!!) Movie 2 – The World’s Strongest, aka Kono Yo de Ichiban Tsuyoi Yatsu (The Strongest Guy in the World) Movie 3 – The Tree of Might, aka Chikyu Marugoto Chokessen (Super Battle in the World) Movie 4 – Lord Slug, aka Supa Saiyajin da Son Goku (Super Saiyan, Son Goku) Movie 5 – Cooler’s Revenge, aka Tobikkiri no Saikyo tai Saikyo (The Incredible Mightiest vs. Mightiest) Movie 6 – The Return of Cooler, aka Gekitotsu!! Hyaku-Oku Pawa no Senshi-tachi (Clash!! The Power of 10 Billion Warriors) We also talk a little Tenkaichi 3 (like always), why Piccolo is so awesome in these movies, and what villains do after accomplishing their plans. Its a full 90 minutes this time around! Which means roughly twice as long as a normal episode. Also, twice as much as you are willing to listen to us morons talk about Dragon Ball! Hopefully, this will tide everyone over until we make our grand return in April/May for 1 year anniversary! See you then! Enjoy!!
On this episode of ADAADV, Colton and Jon invite their friend Paige to monkey around and go bananas talking about Chapter 21 of the manga. We also talk about raining panties, fisting, and Paige gives her two cents some of the art . Monkeys and panties everywhere, guys!! Enjoy!!!
On this episode of ADAADV, Colton and Jon have their good friend, Paige, to come on the show to talk about a series she really couldn’t care less about (Its totally her first time on by the way, no sarcasm here *totally sarcastic*). After many trials and tribulations, we discuss Chapter 20 of the manga, which includes pigs, panties, dragons and cashews. Yeah……thats it. Enjoy.
On this episode of ADAADV, we start off the show by talking about recent tidbits and information the latest Akira Toriyama interview, and then we slowly become more off-topic and obnoxious than usual…for 20 minutes. Then we eventually get to talking about Chapter 19 of the manga…then we slowly become more off-topic and obnoxious than usual. Topics includes Yamcha and irony, how creepy Oolong is, and magical, wish granting boats. Enjoy!
On this episode, we talk about Chapter 18 of the manga. As well as LOTS of Legacy of Goku for some reason, and just how Yamcha might have learned about the birds and bees. Get ready for a Punny episode that’ll be sure to make you pee in your Trunks! Enjoy!
Its our first episode of 2014, and we start off with a bang (but at the same time, not really), as we discuss Chapter 17 of the manga. We also recruit a little help in order to do a reading of the fairy tale known as, The Rabbit in the Moon, a story of generosity and the animals that show it. We also finally finish the exciting story of how Goku beats a anthropomorphic rabbit! How NOT exciting! Enjoy!
Our discussion of Chapter 16 is here! How else did we fill the other 10 minutes you ask? By talking about naming stars after Planet Namek, a recent Did You Know Gaming? video, and just the sheer excitement to be covering the trio’s fight against the fearsome, Rabbit Mob! Enjoy, and we’ll see you next year with Episode 17!
Hey there! Episode 15 is here! And we talk about Chapter 15. Along with the thought reasoning of Oolong’s actions, our opinions of what counts as “canon” in a franchise. Which also brings us back to (you guessed it) GT. We ramble just a bit more than usual and are also a lot more annoying, you’ve been warned. Now that I think about it, probably could have edited out a bit more, but hey, coulda, woulda, shoulda, right? Enjoy!
On this episode of ADAADV, we struggle for topics of discussion (maybe a bit more than normal?), as Master Roshi takes care of Mt. Fry Pan’s great fire. Not gonna lie, last episode was a lot funnier, but hey, we try. Enjoy!
We’re back, baby! And….better than ever? Probably about the same to be honest. But we’re back nonetheless as we finally finish our long journey to Master Roshi’s residence and convince him help us with our thing (whatever that maybe, it’s been four months, I don’t remember). On our glorious return, we also brainstorm some ideas on a few new hit shows, talk about turtles and that pesky dying Phoenix. Hopefully we’re still decently entertaining as well. Good to be back, enjoy!
On this episode of the podcast, we start off with a bang (and a lot of other random noises). Afterwards, we talk about Chapter 12 of the manga, the morality of flying clouds, and talking dolphins.
On this episode of the podcast, we talk about the events of Chapter 11. Also, we talk about (older) Chi Chi, Mr. Popo and other characters that should’ve been included in the roster for Budokai Tenkaichi 3.
On this episode of the podcast, we talk about everything but the chapter (again). The neglected chapter being Chapter 10. Instead we talk about GT, the progression of later villains, our favorite fights from the series and how people in the series should be dead from injuries other than explosions.
On this episode of the podcast, we talk about all of the whacky and creepy perverted chaos that is Chapter 9. Also, we have talk a LOOOOOT about male genitalia.
On this episode we not only talk about Chapter 8 of the manga, but we discuss the intricacies of the psyche and world of a little Mexican girl named Dora, who’s occupation is that of an explorer and the inanimate objects and monkey wearing boots she calls her friends. Watch out guys, reality comes down hard and the shit becomes the fan (as opposed to hitting it).
On this episode we talk about Chapter 7 of the manga, a lot of Yamcha, and how Pilaf and Garlic Jr. look the same.
On this episode, we talk 10% Chapter 6 of this compelling storyline. And 90% blue Popo, boats, and how the people of the Dragon World coexist with furries.
One this episode of ADAADV, we talk about stuff...and Dragon Ball...and Chapter 5. Can't forget about the incredibly memorable Chapter 5. We also talk about stuff that would sound pretty unorthodox and voluptious anywhere but on a Dragon Ball podcast. Enojoy :D
On this episode we talk about the conspiracy around that poor phoenix’s supposed accidental death, butts, and what a newly-animated, 26 episode, slice-of-life Dragon Ball series with the inclusion of sports would be like; basically way more than just Chapter 4. Also, this time, ERIC, turns into Shenlong to read our summary. Which might be a little hard to understand, so just in case: “The turtle brings back an old man, who turns out isn’t just his owner, but also the great Turtle Hermit! The hermit at first offers to grant Goku immortality, but the phoenix capable of this power died from food poisoning. Next he calls for Kinto’Un, his magic cloud that which only the pure of heart can ride. As it turns out Goku can ride it with the greatest of ease. Bulma wants something too, though the turtle says she did nothing to help. The hermit says he’ll give her a reward if he can take a look at her panties. Bulma is shy at first but is quick to show them to him (or lack there of). Bulma notices that he has a DB around his neck, so she just takes that. After celebrating the retrieval of another DB and they have gotten back to their home, Bulma finally realizes that she hasn’t been wearing any underwear since she woke up that day, she shoots Goku for this rightfully so and they move onward to the location of the next DB, which happens to be a village due west.”
On this episode, not only do we talk about Chapter 3, Jon turns into the dragon god himself to read our usual chapter summary. Shoutout to our friend, Chris, from Florida for being our first (hopefully) loyal listener. Also, sorry if we sound incredibly bored and/or distracted this episode, we really scrapped for topics of discussion. Just in case it’s a little hard to understand: “Tired of waiting for Bulma to get ready to continue their journey, Goku decides to go exercise and with a few boulders, one of them that ends up being a lost sea turtle. The turtle explains how a year ago he lost his way while gathering mushrooms. Although Bulma objects at first, her and Goku end up searching for the sea to drop off the turtle. On the way there, they run into a sword-wielding bear who wants to eat the turtle, but Goku finishes him off quickly. When they reach the beach, the turtle tells them wait while he go fetches them a nice reward. The turtle returns later only to have brought….a weird old man?”
On this episode of ADAA, me, Jon and Eric talk about Chapter 2 of the manga. We also talk about what it would be like to live in a world overrun by clones of Robin Williams and Bill Cosby.
On this first episode of out podcast, we talk about the first chapter of the legendary series, known as Dragon Ball. Also we screw around and over-analyze everything.
