Seniors in the School of Fashion share their experience and process to prepare for the biggest event of the year; the 2016 Graduation Fashion Show.

Ozwald Boateng Joins Academy of Art University Students to Discuss his film, "A Man's Story" and the journey of starting out as a designer at the age of 16, as well as the challenges faced by being a minority within the fashion industry. Through responding to student queries and discussing his own story, fashion guru Ozwald Boateng offers inspiration, drive and optimism for Academy students to take with them along with their degrees as they graduate to join the real world industry of the fashion world.

Illustrator Nicolas Villarreal visits the Academy of Art University and the school of Illustration to discuss composition and character design.

Gil Banducci, the Academy of Art University and the school of Illustration present a special evening with creative, creature designer, Terryl Whitlatch. Whitlatch takes students from the very basics of what is meant by being a creature designer, to her own personal journey in breaking into the industry and finally creating and designing for Walt Disney and George Lucas. From the squiggles of the initial idea, through research at the zo, Terryl Whitlatch takes Academy students along on a journey with ehr, through the art of creature design.

Academy of Art alumni and contemporary Patina artist, Ron Young, shares a brief history of the art of patina metal coloring and demonstrates several cold patina techniques.

A guest lecture and demonstration on resin casting. Sculpture students learn the difference between materials used and techniques for different styles of resin casting, demonstrated by Arthur Cordisco.

Online students mold and sculpt for their projects to be cast in molten hot bronze and then chiseled away; turning organic sculpture are into permanent art in a matter of minutes.
