To say Michael has been heavily involved in the Dallas, Texas startup community is an understatement. He has built on the lessons from the Boulder and Denver community and is now heading LaunchDFW. In addition to leading the charge in the startup community here in Dallas, he is interested in bringing DFW to the attention of the nation and doesn't care how it gets there. He puts neighborhood identification secondary to the end result; putting startups first and getting good ideas to out to the world. Ideas from Michael and others are gaining attention from Austin and making Dallas an attractive place to be for the best and brightest. If you have 10 minutes, pull up a chair next to Michael and you'll walk away better informed than you were before, but be sure to have your DART rail pass or embrace yourself for some wisdom on the attractiveness of public transportation! Connectivity is the driver for Michael and we're grateful for his time.

Great conversation with Taylor Rea who performs as Zhora, and her thoughts on dealing with stress before performing, her happiest places and, at the end, does an exercise on how to properly breathe. Glad to hear her share her ideas on those she admires in music and what are their best practices for preparing for performing. On and One, Led Zep, Beck, Bowie and Fleetwood Mac are her vinyl favorites in my house, she's not only my dog's favorite friend, she's our new favorite Dallas artist.
Zoe is a lightning rod. She's a radio expert, largely because of her ability to break the ice in meeting people to get them to unravel their life story. She's a strong believer that everyone has a story and a view that view should be heard, loudly and proudly. This is not for kids, so just prepare for unfiltered opinions but more than that, Zoe has a kindly view of others that lends itself to wanting to hear more about people, their experiences and what makes them tick. What makes Zoe tick is old school Duran Duran, Janet Jackson, clean comedians and rejecting that any process is needed to get the most out of the people she speaks to and her listeners. zoenightingale.com
