It functions as a grand experiment, proposing that all perceived realities – fictional, historical, and contemporary – exist as vibrational frequencies within an infinite cosmic tapestry. Integration of Real-Life Figures: ETM famously integrates real-life celebrities (from A-list icons like Oprah Winfrey, Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Billie Eilish, Finneas, Eddie Murphy, Christopher Walken, Johnny Depp, Charlie Sheen, Katt Williams, and Whoopi Goldberg, to late-night hosts and media personalities like Tina Fey and Jimmy Fallon). ETM posits that these individuals, often without their conscious awareness, are either key nodal points in the multiversal fabric, accidental conduits for interdimensional energies, or even unwitting "Lightworkers" whose public personas are part of a larger cosmic script. Justin Timberlake BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Timberlake has been everywhere this past week for all the wrong reasons and a few right ones. He's headlining news feeds and social media after a viral onstage meltdown during his Lytham Festival set in England. Technical difficulties cut the sound mid-performance of Cry Me A River, prompting Timberlake to very publicly lose his cool, gesturing and shouting at crew members onstage. According to TMZ and Us Weekly, the entire tantrum was caught on fan cameras and swiftly made the rounds online, with fans and outlets like Music Times and Metro noting the visibly confused crowd and blasting Timberlake's actions as unprofessional. Instagram was flooded with clips and memes about his surly outburst, putting Timberlake at the center of a fresh controversy. This is just the latest public stumble for Timberlake in a rough year. Back in June, he was arrested for DWI in New York after admitting to having had “one martini” before failing a field sobriety test, leading to a plea deal with a fine, a 90-day license suspension, and mandatory community service. That incident reportedly strained his marriage to actress Jessica Biel as sources told RadarOnline the couple has been “leading separate lives,” relying on FaceTime during Timberlake's extensive touring and now facing new tabloid pressure as sources caution Timberlake risks losing Jessica if things don't improve.Professionally, Timberlake is pressing ahead with his 2025 World Tour, with major upcoming dates including a highly anticipated concert at the Istanbul Technical University Stadium on July 30, as reported by News Central Asia. Istanbul is treating his visit as a season highlight, with Timberlake expected to deliver his signature theatrical production and chart-topping hits—a chance, perhaps, for a much-needed reset in front of a global audience. Promos and behind-the-scenes glimpses from tour stops like Luxembourg have kept his Instagram followers engaged, where Timberlake has posted his gratitude to fans.Old wounds also keep reopening in the press. Timberlake continues to be referenced in coverage of Britney Spears, whose explosive memoir last year included revelations about their past, and the pop singer's earlier business missteps with Myspace are resurfacing in retrospectives about his varied career. Meanwhile, scenes from his recent films and older performances, like the infamous Super Bowl incident with Janet Jackson, are back in the pop culture conversation thanks to Max streaming and Broadway retrospectives. In summary, Timberlake's name is dominating entertainment headlines—for a tour that's still drawing crowds, a viral temper that's drawing critics, and a personal life that bloggers, fans, and gossip columns can't seem to ignore. As a summer of concerts continues, Timberlake faces an undeniable pop star paradox: massive professional attention amid some of the most challenging and scrutinized moments of his public and private life.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Strap into the time machine and set the dial for July 1986, a time when Top Gun ruled the box office, synthesizers ruled the airwaves, and Kenny Loggins ruled… something. In this episode, Milt and Dave wade knee-deep through the Billboard Top 10 from a summer that gave us everything from Loggins' “Danger Zone” (still trying to make aviator sunglasses cool) to Simply Red's “Holding Back the Years” (still holding back… the energy). Expect the usual: unsolicited nostalgia, suspiciously convenient personal stories, and yes, Milt somehow manages to rhyme “Spinal Tap” with “Trader Joe's nap.” Don't ask. Highlights include: A passionate defense of Janet Jackson's “Nasty,” because someone had to. A soul-searching breakdown of Billy Ocean's “There'll Be Sad Songs (To Make You Cry),” which succeeds. It does indeed break down. Two grown men pretending to know the difference between Howard Jones and Howard Johnson. And the moment Peter Gabriel's “Sledgehammer” rolls in and flattens the competition like, well, a sledgehammer. Plus: Johnny-themed trivia (because there are apparently way more songs about guys named Johnny than anyone needed), some light shade thrown at the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and a very necessary refreshing of the chart — where Dave and Milt save the Top 10 from itself by swapping in some ‘80s underdogs. This week, I've pulled out a special Take 5 from the archives, when Ngaiire joined me to explore songs without boundaries.Ngaiire has long been one of Australian music's most treasured voices.Having lived and travelled across many places, she draws on these experiences to shape her distinctive sound.Music has always been a big part of Ngaiire's life. As a child of the 90's, she grew up listening to pop songs in Papua New Guinea and New Zealand, then Australia. She would find a connection particularly to Janet Jackson and Talib Kweli; a brown woman in song in an overwhelmingly white Australia. In this Take 5, Ngaiire guides us through the music that reflects a life lived across cultures, sounds, and borders.

It's Independence Day here in the USA, but if you're not a fan of fireworks and hot dogs, Elliot and Dan's rundown of the best hacks of the week is certainly something to celebrate. Rest easy, because nothing exploded, not even the pneumatic standing desk that [Matthias] tore into, nor the electroplated 3D prints that [H3NDRIK] took a blowtorch to. We looked into the mysteries of the Smith chart, another couple of fantastic student projects out of Cornell, the pros and cons of service loops, and what happened when the lights went out in Spain last Spring. And what does Janet Jackson have against laptops anyway?

632. Chip Lococo discusses his novel, The Devil's Jazz: A Gripping Historical Thriller of Murder, Music, and Madness in 1918 New Orleans, about the infamous Axman of New Orleans. “They have never caught me and they never will... I have been, am, and will be the worst spirit that ever existed either in fact or the realm of fancy.” — The Axman In the haunted heart of New Orleans, as World War I draws to a close, a sinister presence stalks the streets. A brutal serial killer—known only as the Axman—emerges from the shadows, targeting the city's Sicilian immigrant community with chilling precision. Inspired by true events, The Devil's Jazz resurrects one of America's most disturbing unsolved murder cases in a city steeped in music, mystery, and myth. Retired detective Giancarlo Rabito is pulled back into the darkness when the killings begin. The press fans hysteria. The public panics. And when the Axman sends a blood-chilling letter to the newspapers — promising death unless every home plays jazz on a chosen night — the city answers with a desperate and defiant flood of music. Chip LoCoco was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he attended Jesuit High School and received his BA degree from Loyola University in 1990 with a concentration in History. He then went on to receive his JD degree from Loyola University Law School in 1993 and joined his father's firm, Many & LoCoco, after being sworn in as an attorney in October, 1993. With the release of her latest single, the soulful and sensualromance “You Know What It's Like,” Brenda Russell not only continues to pave the way for her highly anticipated upcoming album Songpainter – her first collection in 20 years – but also makes a triumphant return to the refined classic blend of adult contemporary R&B and urban jazz that launched and defined the trailblazing four and a half decade career of the multi-Grammy nominated singer/songwriter, Tony nominated and Grammy winning Broadway composer for The Color Purple. “You Know What It's Like” is a co-write by the singer and the legendary Roberta Flack. When people assess Brenda's overall career, her success as an artist and with The Color Purple often overshadows the gemsshe wrote that were hits for other artists. Beyond Oleta Adams' “Get Here,” Brenda's gems have been recorded by Luther Vandross (“If Only for One Night”), Donna Summer (“Dinner with Gershwin”), Babyface, The Manhattan Transfer, Patti Austin, Dionne Warwick, Mary J. Blige, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan and Ramsey Lewis. Her tunes have also been sampled by everyone from Janet Jackson and 2Pace to Chance the Rapper and Ariana Grande. In addition, Brenda's co-composition with Brazilian artist Ivan Lins “She Walks This Earth” was recorded by international superstar Sting for the all-star tribute album Love Affair: The Music Of Ivan Lins. Sting's inspired performance of the uniquely beautiful song earned him a Grammy Award in 2001 for Best Pop Male Vocal Performance. Brenda was recently elected into the Female Songwriters Hall of Fame. Want to watch: YouTube Meisterkhan Pod (Please Subscribe)

This week, we are honored to welcome R&B-Pop icon, Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and genius, Ne-Yo to the podcast. In this extensive conversation, Ne-Yo shares insights from his remarkable 20-year career, discussing his approach to touring then versus now, emphasizing his commitment to live performances over lip-syncing. He reflects on the recent "Mary J. Blige Strength of a Woman Tour" with special guest Mario, highlighting the amazing experience and the powerful moment of performing "You Should Let Me Love You" with Mario for the first time. Ne-Yo delves into his early career, including his challenging experience with Columbia Records and the creative freedom he found at Def Jam under L.A. Reid, which shaped his debut album. He discusses the evolution of R&B, the importance of male vulnerability in songwriting, and how it is a subject matter he still wishes to explore in his music. He and Chuck Harmony recount the serendipitous story of their first collaboration, which sparked Harmony's career and led to Ne-Yo writing hits for Céline Dion, Mary J. Blige, and Janet Jackson in a single night! Ne-Yo also shares the creation process behind his own hits like "So Sick" and "Closer," revealing how L.A. Reid strategically planned the release of "Stay" before "So Sick" as a "jab before the knockout punch." He recounts the surprising origin of Beyoncé's "Flaws and All," initially intended for Britney Spears, and how Rihanna's "Good Girl Gone Bad" album also came from songs originally written for Britney. Ne-Yo shares his desire to collaborate with Stevie Wonder, who, along with Michael Jackson, influenced his acceptance of his own voice. He also tells the wild story of his group Envy's disastrous performance on Showtime at the Apollo. Finally, Ne-Yo addresses his personal life, discussing his decision to be open about his polyamorous relationships and offering candid advice on honesty and living authentically. Joe Francis - Girls Gone WildOf all the late 90s and 2000s cultural phenomena to come under recent scrutiny – the Pam and Tommy sex tape, Woodstock 99, Abercrombie & Fitch, over-inflated Silicon Valley startups, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson's “wardrobe malfunction” – Girls Gone Wild is arguably the least surprisingly toxic. Started in 1997 by a fratty entrepreneur named Joe Francis, Girls Gone Wild sold VHS and then DVD videos of co-ed women, almost always intoxicated, baring their breasts on some hedonistic spring break trip in exchange for free underwear or hats.Francis dominated the soft-core porn market in the early internet days; millions of people purchased footage of the girls – often barely over 18 and sometimes younger, predominantly white, thin and blonde – getting badgered by cameramen to take more shots, take their tops off, make out with their friends, use sex toys on themselves. Obviously, this has not aged well. (Nor was it without controversy at the time.)Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

Episode 76: Jerrod "J-Rod" Sullivan. If you're a drummer, chances are you've seen J-Rod pop up in your feed. He's one of the most exciting drummers to watch, and now he's holding down the drum chair for Janet Jackson. From uploading his first drum video to YouTube back in 2006 to building an audience of over 700,000 followers, J-Rod is living proof that consistency and passion pay off. We get into everything from his early days playing in church to building an online community of over 700K+ followers with his drum videos and how he creates them. We talk about staying consistent while on the road, and why authenticity is everything. Plus, we go deep into the Janet Jackson gig, talking about how it came together from a DM and the sacrifice he took dedicating 2 months to turn this Janet Jackson opportunity into a closed deal. I had to find out how in the world he plays the infamous “Control” drum fill, his gear setups, how he makes his social media videos (both the cameras, the audio, and the process), creating drumless tracks with the Moises app, his band The 4 Korners, staying sharp, and why it pays to act as if you already got the gig. J-Rod came through to my hotel room in Las Vegas to link up the next day after his show with Janet Jackson. I went to the show and it was incredible. After the show, we went out with Zedd until 5 a.m., and the next morning he went straight to AMA rehearsals with Janet, then soundcheck at Resorts World with Janet, then to my hotel room to do the interview, and then straight to his show with Janet that night. We were running on fumes for this convo, which made it fun in it's own way. We dive into his story, his viral rise, how he landed the Janet gig, and so much more. 主播:翩翩(中国)+ Selah(美国)音乐:Anywhere Is近日关于关于法国总统马克龙的一段“打脸”视频火了(go viral)。今天我们要聊的话题就是本次“打脸门”事件(Slapgate Incident)。01 Macron's “Slapgate” Incident 马克龙“打脸门”事件马克龙夫妇乘专机(on a private plane)抵达越南(Vietam)。But right before stepping off the aircraft (下飞机), they appeared to (疑似) have an argument. And in an awkward moment caught on camera, Brigitte appeared to slap the president's face. But Macron quickly snapped right back (立刻恢复原状) into a smiling, waving politician (政治家) when he noticed the camera.视频中马克龙反应非常快,网友调侃其“压力下反应迅速”(quick thinking under pressure)。But the internet went nuts (走红), and every major news outlet (主流新闻媒体) picked it up (报道).02 Media Headlines and Public Speculation 媒体标题与公众猜测Some people are low-key wondering (小声嘀咕) if there be trouble in their marriage. Foreign media also speculated (猜测) that there might be trouble in Macron and his wife's relationship.low-key wondering:小声嘀咕(欧美年轻人常用的话,吃瓜群众的小心思)Here is an international headline. International outlet Firstpost wrote: From student-teacher affair to slapgate: Inside Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron's scandal-ridden relationship从师生关系到打脸门:布丽吉特和马纽埃尔·马克龙丑闻缠身的关系内幕It is called student-teacher affair because Macron met Brigitte when he was 15. She was his teacher—25 years older and already a mom of three. They fell in love. In the end, he married her at 29. They've been together ever since.student-teacher affair: 师生恋(带有负面暗示)affair: 事情,可引申为风流韵事、不当关系A sexual relationship between two people, usually when one or both of them is married to somebody else.Eg. Somebody is having an affair. 某人有婚外情。scandal-ridden relationship: 丑闻缠身的关系A scandal-ridden relationship is a romantic connection (情感纠葛) between two people that causes a lot of public shock, criticism (批评), or disgrace (耻辱)—usually because it breaks social rules.slapgate: 打脸门It refers to any of various controversies involving a well-known person slapping another person or thing. It was when Janet Jackson's top accidentally came open (上衣不小心开了口) during the Super Bowl show (超级碗场秀) in 2004.Serious media outlets use the “-gate” for major scandals like Russiagate in a formal context, but when applied to minor incidents (小事件), it often carries a sarcastic tone (调侃色彩). 英文中大事小情都是“......门”,就跟表情包(memes)一样,开玩笑的意味比较重。有趣的是马克龙登机口被打脸事件称作“slapgate”有一个妙用,就是双关(pun),因为英文中登机口就是gate。After Macron got slapped, Twitter users came up with the savage nickname (很损的外号) “Smacron”-a brutal combo (一种残酷的组合) of “smack (掌掴)” and “Macron”.03 Macron's Explanation and Public Skepticism 马克龙的解释与公众质疑After the video went viral, Macron was quick to clarify—he said they were just horsing around, nothing serious, definitely not some domestic drama (家庭剧).horse around: 闹着玩It means to play in a silly, noisy, or rough (粗鲁的) way.Eg. We were just horsing around—it wasn't a real fight!我们只是闹着玩,不是真的打架!但外媒报道时,都把“horse around”这个词加了引号。Plenty of media outlets weren't buying it (不买账). It is basically saying: That's Macron's version…(这是马克龙的版本...)欢迎在评论区告诉我们:What do you think is going on? 你觉得是怎么回事呢?
In light of the serious allegations against Sean "Diddy" Combs, including charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, several celebrities are reportedly distancing themselves from him to protect their reputations. Notably, figures such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Ashton Kutcher, and Justin Bieber, who were previously associated with Combs' events, are now making efforts to minimize their connections. Additionally, high-profile individuals like LeBron James, Patrick Mahomes, Kim Kardashian, Janet Jackson, and Naomi Campbell have reportedly unfollowed Combs on social media or removed posts featuring him.Further complicating the situation, Ray J has claimed that certain celebrities are paying alleged victims to keep their names out of the scandal, suggesting a "catch and kill" strategy to suppress damaging information. He mentioned that some celebrities have approached him, fearing their associations with Combs might be exposed. With a total of 41 Top 10 hits in the US, Jimmy and Terry were named ASCAP Songwriters of the Year a record-breaking nine times. My guest today has been an integral part of my feminist awakening. Celeste Barber's instagram posts - which parody the unattainable standards of the fashion and beauty industry - are both hilarious and revolutionary. Her work has helped a generation of women to feel better about their bodies - and made her a star in the process. (Plus she's been blocked by a few celebrities. Lol.) Barber began her account in 2015 as a jobbing actor. She now has almost 10 million followers, including Reese Witherspoon, Chelsea Handler and designer Tom Ford who ended up hiring her for a fashion campaign. We talk about imposter syndrome, ADHD, standing up to bullies and her Janet Jackson obsession.
