The case involved David Roberts who was convicted on four counts of murder, with additional charges of kidnapping, arson, and rape. Det Earl was working as the supervisor of evidence when the request came across his desk asking for the release of the weapon used in the commission of a crime. 21 Jump Street was a great tv show and movie. The basis of the the show and movie was that a police department sent young detectives into a high school to infiltrate drug dealers and discover the drug suppliers. To most people, it is just an idea of entertainment. But for Det Earl, it was an operation plan. Det Earl recruited a young detective at his police department to go undercover and bust up a drug ring within a local high school.
