In this episode of the Acceptable Accuracy Podcast, hosts Tyler and Philip are joined by a large and rowdy cast for a classic hypothetical that every gear-minded shooter has argued about at least once: the zombie apocalypse. This revisit is one of my personal projects that I had wanted to get out for the listener for quite some time and to see it all put together was something I will always cherish. This episode has been a project since this show began as we finally tell the story of the attack on Dallas Police Headquarters on June 13th, 2015. At approximately 12:30 am a suspect, driving an armored van, drove to police headquarters in Dallas Texas and planted bags containing pipe bombs and opened fire on the front of the building with an assault rifle. Several officers responded and were met with gunfire in the streets in front of headquarters and then led the police on a chase that would end in history being made in US law enforcement history with the method in which the threat was eliminated. The episode will detail the tragedy from the 2013 arrest of the suspect to the events on June 13th, 2015, as he was eliminated by the use of a .50 caliber rifle, the first and only time this weapon platform has been used on a suspect in the United States.   This episode welcomes then Dallas SWAT members Jude Braun, Kent Wolverton, Danny Canete and Keith Rieg to the stage to give a play-by-play firsthand account of this incident and the significance in Dallas and US law enforcement history.   Guest List: Jude Braun #5015            36 years with Dallas Police and served 33 years with Dallas SWAT. Jude has the reputation of being an expert on explosive breaching and spearheaded the rifle program on the Dallas Police Department. Braun is now retired. Keith Rieg #6809 32 years with the Dallas Police Department and is still an active SWAT member after 24 years. Keith is a sniper and pulled the trigger of the .50 caliber rifle during this incident. On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, as time goes on, the urgency and immediacy for helping the Iranian people lessens in the public mind and among the decision-makers. Already, the media are losing interest. This is very worrisome. The revolution in Iran cannot succeed without the U.S. Also, it's essential for U.S. national security to control Greenland. One idea would be to propose a 99-year lease of Greenland to the United States, granting military control, infrastructure development and access to Greenland's rare earth minerals in exchange for sharing benefits with Denmark and Greenlanders, with an automatic renewal option. This approach protects American interests logically and consistently. Later, the Wall Street Journal's accidental admission reveals that tariffs are not merely taxes but tools of foreign policy and diplomacy. The Constitution assigns Congress the power of the purse while granting the President plenary power over foreign policy and national security. Tariffs often intertwine these areas, making judicial intervention impractical and unwise, as courts would end up deciding case-by-case whether a tariff is more about national security or taxation, leading to endless litigation.  The Supreme Court needs to reverse the lower court, avoid ruling on constitutionality at this stage, and allow Congress and the President to handle such matters through their respective powers rather than ceding decisions to judges. Afterward, in Lee Carter's opinion piece, President Trump's approval ratings do not indicate failure but instead demonstrate his successful delivery on campaign promises in a divided America. Rather than softening his approach like typical presidents, Trump has remained a consistent disruptor which has led to stable numbers with no significant erosion of his base. These ratings reflect identity-driven polarization sorting the country rather than persuading it. The legacy media fixates on the low headline numbers while refusing to recognize this stability as proof of Trump's authenticity and the nation's discomfort with unfiltered promise-keeping. In addition, Michael Doran, Director of the Middle East center at the Hudson Institute, urges Trump to seize billions of dollars in Iranian assets hidden in Dubai-based financial institutions. These shadow banks enable Iran to evade U.S. sanctions and fund its regime. Freezing or seizing these offshore accounts would deliver a powerful blow to Tehran comparable to a military strike, but with far lower risk and escalation potential, making it a preferable non-military pressure tactic. Major developments in the Tepe family murders out of Columbus, Ohio. Police have confirmed the murder weapon was recovered from Michael McKee's Chicago residence. NIBIN — the federal ballistics database — matched shell casings from Spencer and Monique Tepe's bedroom to a firearm seized from McKee's penthouse. Multiple weapons were recovered. McKee, 39, is a vascular surgeon and Monique's ex-husband. They divorced in 2017 after a seven-month marriage. Eight years later, police say he allegedly drove 300 miles to their home and executed both of them while their children slept. The children — a 4-year-old girl and 1-year-old boy — were found alive. According to Law & Crime, McKee reportedly gave police an alibi that fell apart before his arrest. He was taken into custody at a Chick-fil-A in Rockford, Illinois by ATF agents. At a press conference, Chief Elaine Bryant called this a "targeted domestic violence attack." When asked if McKee had been seen near the Tepe home days before the murders, she said police couldn't share that information — but didn't deny it. The family says the arrest was "not a shock." Spencer's brother-in-law said Monique never called McKee by name. Called him a monster. Said she was always worried about him. McKee is charged with two counts of aggravated murder with prior calculation and design. He waived extradition and plans to plead not guilty. Court date is January 23rd.
