Two random guys on the internet, one who doesn't know a lot about scifi and one who does, talk about the science fiction TV shows they're watching. Currently, that's Star Trek: Discovery
Ah, a classic. We watch it again both as a pallet cleanser after the two previous movies didn't pan out so well and to get ready for Loki.
We watched it so you don't have to. The best thing we could say about Army of the Dead was "at least it's not 4 hours and 15 minutes long". But we had fun talking about it. Join us, won't you?
Mike and I take on the movie that started it all, or well, at least thousands of episodes of SyFy TV: Star Gate. It's not as good as you remember it!
...according to how important they were to us. Not a definitive list, but lend an ear anyway.
This was a fun one. Mike and I scoured our failing memories for the best movie going experiences of our lives. Theaters, movies, places, times, whatever it was that made seeing a movie in a theater a true experience.
A confused, wonderful mess with no clear ending is exactly what I would expect from a bridge series meant to lead us into the next phase of Marvel movies. Well done.
Who needs Excalibur, John Walker wonders as he uses his new super soldier strength to create his own shield out of steel.
Everyone probably expected this politically appointed Captain America thing to go bad, but no one predicted it would go "blood on the shield" bad. Listen as we clutch our fainting pearls in horror.
We talk about Bucky's unreasonable-sounding but purely hypothetical plan to help noted war criminal Zemo escape prison.
Boom, what did I tell you? The show gets much better in the second episode and we talk about it, but this time enthusiastically.
We weren't super impressed with the first episode of this limited series, but spoiler alert, it gets much, much better.
Now that we're caught up, we let the WandaVision story steal our breath so we can talk about it.
Having not planned to watch WandaVision for the cast, we found ourselves too intrigued to let it go so we watched all episodes up to 7 and talked about it.
Really important to note these are the top 15 Science Fiction films according to how important they were to us personally. Not a definitive ranking by any means, but a fun conversation.
Mike and I discuss Star Trek Discovery Season 3 Episode 13. NOTE: Previous episode had damaged audio, so no entry there
Mike and I discuss Season 3 Episode 11 of Star Trek Discovery
The exciting conclusion to Georgiu's Terran saga and her sendoff to her own series, Section 31. We're that much closer to having an all Star Trek streaming service, folks. Join Mike and me as we discuss the goings on in the Discovery universe.
Welcome back to one of our favorite places in the Star Trek universe as Philippa returns to the Terran timeline to sort some stuff out with alt-Michael.
We get a chance to visit Book's homeworld in this episode and further his relationship with Burnham as well as introduction to a throwaway brother we will probably never see again. Also why is Book's brother from Spain? All this and so much more. Join us, won't you?
A bit of a meander from the Discovery crew as they set up the final push for the third season. We also talk about George Clooney so stay tuned.
Before you get angry, remember that our rankings are based on how important these movies were to us. But, here we are, counting down all 11 Star Wars films and recounting our feelings about them in excruciating detail.
We were bowled over by the second season finale so we talked about how we were bowled over by the second season finale. Join us!
Burnham saves Book from a scrap yard that is basically a slave camp. It's more fun than it sounds and the new improved Burnham is a true joy to watch.
Probably the best episode of the season and all because Bill Burr makes everything great. It doesn't hurt that the episode is tight and action packed without being supercilious.
So we get to Starfleet/Federation finally and without dilithium they turn out to be a group of ships trying to protect an entire quadrant without enough resources. The future is a lot bleaker than we had hoped.
Well... I mean, they lost the baby? Does that even happen? We're upset, too. Join us and be upset with us.
Sort of like a side mission in DLC, the crew has to sort out Adira's Trill situation.
Finally! Ashoka Tano! The series returns to its former excellence and brings a beloved character with it.
Finally reunited, Burnham and the U.S.S. Discovery crew journey to Earth, eager to learn what happened to the Federation in their absence. And boy are they surprised at what they find.
Not a stellar episode and we're starting to wonder what's going on with this season. Two played out characters return for some reason. And we complain about it. Join us, won't you?
After a year apart, the crew of Discovery finds the future to be less glitzy and fun than they had expected when they signed on for this. But we get to see Joe from Medium play a bad guy which he's really good at.
Hey, it's another throwaway episode but we get to see Bo Kataan and I get to mispronounce her name repeatedly as "Boa Katana". Join me for my humiliating defeat.
We decide we can't wait to finish Mando before we start season three of Discovery so we move temporarily to two podcasts a week. Yes, that is a lot of editing. Thank you for noticing.
A bit of a throwaway episode, but fun nonetheless. Mando must take a frog woman on a dangerous journey for some reason or other.
We switch gears (and universes) to Star Wars and the second season of the hit show The Mandalorian. But more importantly, we talk about it.
Join us for a friendly discussion about which movies were most important to at the turn of this new century. Fortunately, our list turns out to be exactly right with no changes necessary.
The Finale of Season 2 brings a parting of ways with our favorite starship captain and a commitment from Discovery's stars to do another season in a completely rebooted universe.

Oh, my, did we have sound problems on this episode. My apologies in advance. It seems my microphone had a meltdown so there's some serious reverb on my audio track that a much better engineer would have to get rid of. The episode... was also average, cartilage to connect some story arcs. But we had fun talking about it and you'll have fun listening.
Yes, and we're back to the usual high quality episodes with a return to Saru's homeworld and an explanation of the Great Balance. Come for the Star Trek, stay for our stupid theories on time travel.
Again this is the top as in "most important to us personally" so you can put away your torches and pitch forks. In fact, I'd love to see others' lists.
Woof, every now and then a stinker gets through even on a usually good show like this one. Join us as we try to find nice things to say about "Saints of Imperfection"
The first in a short (hopefully) run of below average episodes, this one features a giant sphere called Deus Ex Machina.
By this point we've come to realize that no one who beams aboard Discovery is ever going to be Spock and we're just going to keep seeing Burnham's disappointed face every time. But that doesn't mean we're disappointed to see Spock's mom and find out more about what he's been up to lately.
Spock is a very private person, apparently. Across 79 TV episodes and seven movies, he never got around to mentioning his foster sister. Well, she was Starfleets first and only mutineer. There's on in every family!
