"When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death" (John 4:47) Take every care, concern, hurt, and worry to Jesus.
"And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel" (Mark 1:15) Jesus has arrived so it's time to think differently and change your mind from what you've always thought and depended on.
"And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world" (John 4:42) Jesus delivers everyone without barriers, discrimination, or judgment.
"And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together" (John 4:36) Jesus rewards everyone who tells people about Him.
"Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest" (John 4:35) People all around you are ready to hear about Jesus. See them.
"Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work" (John 4:34) Your most important possession is the work that Jesus has determined to accomplish through you.
"But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of" (John 4:32) When you don't see Jesus by Him revealing Himself to you, you won't understand what He is doing in your life or what He speaks to you.
"Then they went out of the city, and came unto him" (John 4:30) Being a witness for Jesus is pointing people to Jesus. Send everyone you know and meet to Jesus.
"Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?" (John 4:29) 'Christians' who don't tell people about Jesus are not really following Jesus. Your witness of Him reveals whether or not you're following Him.
"The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city..." (John 4:28) Following Jesus requires you to leave something behind. Let it go, drop it, and follow Jesus.
"And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?" (John 4:27) When you follow Jesus, different will be your new normal.
"Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he" (John 4:26) Jesus is God and Jesus is the One speaking into your life.
"The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things" (John 4:25) The more you see Jesus, the more you know about Jesus.
"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him" (John 4:23) Jesus is seeking you. He wants you to worship Him.
"Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father" (John 4:21) Jesus is calling you to believe His words above the words of anyone else.
"Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship" (John 4:19) Don't mistake your comfort and confidence in your outward religious factors for trust in Jesus.
"The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet" (John 4:19) Jesus will purposefully lead you into situations that will reveal Himself to you. These situations will remove your blinders so you can see see Him.
"The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband" (John 4:17) Jesus loves and wants a relationship with the most messed up people. His deepest truths can be revealed through you.
"The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw" (John 4:15) You may not be able to see everything about Jesus, but have you seen enough to know that He's all you want and need?
"...but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life" (John 4:14) Jesus is offering you the opportunity to have Jesus Himself living within you.
"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst..." (John 4:14) Anyone who lives for things that originate in Jesus will be completely fulfilled.
"Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again" (John 4:13) Anyone who lives for things that originate on earth will be unfulfilled.
"Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself..." (John 4:12) When you don't see Jesus, you will depend on other things.
"Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself..." (John 4:12) When you don't see Jesus, you won't see where true life and living comes from.
"If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water" (John 4:10) When you see Jesus, you will see that Jesus is all you need.
"Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans" (John 4:9) Jesus knows your past and your present, yet He still wants you.
"There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water..." (John 4:7) Jesus knows how desperately you need Him and He is working in an intentional way within your life.
"And he must needs go through Samaria" (John 4:4) Jesus always knows what's necessary. Embrace what you're currently experiencing, it's a necessary part of your journey towards Him.
"But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God" (John 3:21) The works of a believer are the works of God through the believer. In all things, God gives and we take.
"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" (John 3:18) You condemn yourself when you refuse to take what Jesus is giving you.
"For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved" (John 3:17) Jesus did not come into the world to put you on trial. Jesus came to be your channel of salvation and deliverance.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16) God loves you so much that He is willing and even wants to be your exclusive Giver.
"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:14-15) Believe in Jesus and receive eternal life. Jesus is the giver!
"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness" (John 3:11) Jesus is the exclusive giver in your relationship and you are the endlessly needy taker.
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?" (John 3:10) You can be so established in ritualism, religion, and tradition that you can't see the real Jesus. Listen to the link below for self-inspection.
"Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?" (John 3:9) Your background, training, and traditions may be the very things keeping you from hearing Jesus clearly and understanding what Jesus is doing within you.
"The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit" (John 3:8) Jesus is doing something unexplainable within you, isn't He?
"Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again" (John 3:7) It's time for you to stop wondering about your relationship with Jesus. Now is the time to be intentional and decide. Jesus is the only way. Choose Jesus!
"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God" (John 3:5) To enter the realm of God, you must have a physical birth and spiritual birth through Jesus.
"Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?" (John 3:4) You can listen to stories about Jesus or read about Him and completely miss who He is.
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3) Unless you are born new from above, it is absolutely impossible for you to see the realm of God.
"The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him"(John 3:2) You have an awareness of Jesus, do you have an understanding?
"There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews" (John 3:1) Pharisees emphasized the outward way of living and had a sense of self-righteousness with a critical view of others. Beware - If you act like a Pharisee, you are one.
"...for he knew what was in man" (John 2:25) Jesus knows what is fixed inside of you right now. Is there something within you that is keeping you from knowing more about Him?
"And needed not that any should testify of man..." (John 2:25) To be wanted is out of choice, to be needed is out of obligation. Jesus WANTS you!
"...because he knew all men" (John 2:24) Jesus is always working a greater plan and what He entrusts you with is exactly what you need to fulfill His plan at this moment.
"But Jesus did not commit himself unto them..." (John 2:24) What you know about Jesus is what He has entrusted to you. Everything you see about Jesus is an expression of His trust in you.
"Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did" (John 2:23) When you begin to see Jesus, you will begin your journey in following Him.
FOLLOW DAILY "When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said" (John 2:22) Jesus will lead you into specific situations to build your faith.
FOLLOW DAILY "Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?" (John 2:18) Don't be so comfortable with spiritual manipulation and abuse from 'church' that you refuse to allow Jesus to set you free.
FOLLOW DAILY "And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up" (John 2:17) Let everything you do or say empower others in their seeing and learning about Jesus. Ask yourself, "Did I just help them see Jesus?"
