Gospelicious Radio is a theology and church life podcast created by Timothy Howard Jr. and Adam Minor. Their goal is to entertain and edify their local community and beyond, interview interesting people and above all else, bring glory to their Savior Jesus Christ!
And we're back with another new episode of Gospelicious Radio! This week, the boys discuss the current controversy surrounding the new French Netflix movie "Cuties," which portrays underage girls in a sexualized way. How is this OK? Where is the line when it comes to art vs. morality? What does the Bible have to say about protecting the minds and souls of our children? What does a movie like this have to say about the direction of our society? Some big questions this week — and we once again turn to the Bible for answers. Join us as we dissect this issue and apply some practical advice anyone can follow!
The boys are back with another episode of Gospelicious Radio! This week, Tim and Adam today's state of affairs, and how news headlines that should be satire are actually true (shout out to www.notthebee.com for the material). From there, the guys launch into an update on the State of Theology (www.stateoftheology.com), and how even on what would seem like the most basic truths of the Bible, many evangelicals still lack basic understanding of theology. Does theology even matter anymore? What can we do to refocus on God in an age where we are so distracted and tempted to be lazy in our studies?
SURPRISE! The boys are back after nearly a four-month hiatus with the season 2 premiere of Gospelicious Radio! In this week's episode, Tim and Adam catch up via Zoom, recap the last four months, and discuss the current state of affairs in the church and the world, from wearing masks, to BLM and much more, all wrapped in a message of compassion and the gospel. A must listen for the Christian struggling in this "COVID world."
The boys are back with GR54! This week, Tim and Adam examine what the Bible has to say about the Lord's Supper, or communion. What is so special about this ordinance/sacrament? What should we do to observe this special time when we are all social distancing and not together in church? What is the congregational aspect just as important as the personal aspect of it? Or is it? Join us as we explore God's Word for answers!
GR53 is here! And this week is a fun one! Like, literally, a fun one! This week, Tim and Adam join you once again from their socially distanced basements to let off some steam by playing some games over Zoom! Who will win the first-ever Gospelicious games? Who has what it takes? Who really cares? Join us for a fun, wholesome time that will help you escape from your worries for a bit!
Aaaaand we're back! Tim and Adam return to their "home studios" this week for another socially distanced podcast! In this episode, the boys look forward to Mother's Day, and take a deep dive into Proverbs 31, which describes the characteristics of a strong, faith-filled, God-loving mother. What does a biblical mother look like? What pleases the Lord when it comes to motherhood? A great discussion in Proverbs that will make you appreciate the faithful women in your life! Enjoy, and happy Mother's Day!
GR51 is here, people! This week, Tim and Adam continue their quarantine with a Zoom chat about what the Bible says about giving to the local church. In this time of pandemic, worry and uncertainty, and the loss or reduction of many jobs worldwide, church giving is down dramatically. What should we do as Christians? What does the Bible say about how much we give? What should our attitude be? A very timely and relevant discussion for this current time!
We're doing it live! Despite technical difficulties, audio issues and all kinds of other hiccups, Tim and Adam celebrate 50 episodes with their first live episode on YouTube! We interact with our listeners and viewers, read e-mails and comments, talk about how the church is adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic, and reflect on the past 50 episodes, while looking ahead to 50 more — and beyond!
Adam and Tim have not forgotten you! During the COVID-19 crisis, Adam and Tim practice some social-distancing by testing Zoom software for future episodes as well as give us some Gospelicious reminders to help us during this time of crisis! Check it out today!
GR49 has arrived! This week, Tim and Adam discuss the recent news and hysteria surrounding the coronavirus outbreak around the world. How serious is it? What does the Bible say about sickness? How should the church be prepared to handle a pandemic? We consult a helpful article by Thom S. Rainer to help us get a handle on what exactly our priorities should be when it comes to facing a health crisis. An informative and helpful discussion this week on Gospelicious Radio! GR48 is coming at you! And this week is a doozy, because we have a very special guest — His Oaks Director Trevor Primus! His Oaks is a residential, faith-based discipleship ministry for men with life-dominating behaviors based in Eastford, CT, a ministry that has been going strong for nearly a decade. This week, Tim and Adam sit down with Trevor and learn about his testimony, his life before coming to His Oaks, some powerful stories from the ministry, and his exciting outlook for the ministry for the years to come! It was a great discussion — you will certainly be blessed by it! To support His Oaks financially, fill out an application, or just obtain more information, visit www.hisoaks.com, call (860) 942-2859, or visit them on Facebook!
GR47 is back! After a week away, Tim and Adam discuss the important issue of spiritual discipline, diving into a great book by Dr. Donald S. Whitney called “Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life,” which chronicles essentials disciplines a Christian should be endeavoring to master. Why is it so difficult to remain discipline in spiritual matters? What’s the big deal anyway? What does the Bible have to say about staying disciplined? Another great discussion! Also, stick around to the end of the podcast to find out how you can win a free copy of Dr. John MacArthur’s book, “Final Word: Why We Need the Bible”! • GR Recommended Book! “Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life,” by Dr. Donald S. And we're back! With a week until Valentine's Day, Tim and Adam are back with GR46, this week talking about love! But not just any kind of love — not the warm, fuzzy romantic love. This week, we are talking about authentic, sacrificial, Christian ("agape") love between fellow Christians, particularly in the church setting. What is a Christian to do with the commandment to "love one another" when they are faced with situations (and people) that are difficult to love? Why is loving one another so hard sometimes? What does the Bible say about loving people we disagree with or have conflict with? A very interesting discussion that all members of a church congregation would benefit from hearing!
GR45 is live! In this week’s episode of Gospelicious Radio, Tim and Adam respond to a recent news article about a church in Minnesota re-launching and “re-branding” at the expense of their elderly members. How valuable are the church’s senior members? Spoiler alert: Very. What does the Bible have to say about old age and how we should treat seniors in the context of the church? To what lengths should the church go to try and stay relevant to the younger generations? What does a church’s elderly population have to say about that church’s health? What does intergenerational interaction say about the health of a church? It’s an interesting podcast for all ages! Two articles were referenced in this podcast. After a short holiday hiatus, the boys are back with a very special GR44! Fresh off a trip to Atlanta, GA, for the G3 Conference, Tim and Adam are spiritually charged up and are ready to talk about what they learned in the area of "worship," the topic of last week's conference. They talk about the variety of speakers they sat under, such as John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham, Paul Washer, James White, Steve Lawson and Costi Hinn, among others, and the amazing worship experience provided by Keith & Kristyn Getty and Sovereign Grace! What is true worship? And how is it supposed to permeate every aspect of our lives? Worship God with us this week as we dive into His Word!
It's the end of the year, and very nearly the one-year anniversary of Gospelicious Radio! As the year comes to a close, we celebrate the year that was with our top 10 moments from GR in 2019! From special guests to personal achievements, from important doctrine to embarrassing stories, it certainly was a year to remember. Thank you all for taking the first year of this journey with us. See you next year!
As we look ahead to the Christmas holiday next week, the boys are back with GR42! This week, Tim and Adam discuss their Christmas traditions, church holiday traditions and traditions from all around the world. Biblically, what is an acceptable observation of Christmas? Should we even celebrate the holiday? Like many things, it's all about the heart behind the celebration, and giving glory to Jesus Christ! From all of us at Gospelicious Radio, Merry Christmas!
It's been three long weeks! After a short hiatus, the boys are back with GR41! In this week's episode, Tim and Adam discuss the holiday season and the greatest gift that has ever been given — the salvation of Jesus Christ! We break down the scripture that reveals God's heart behind the gift, what it cost, its value, and what our response should be when we receive it. It's a great discussion that will renew your awe when you think of your Savior!
