In this sermon, Craig continues our Vision Series by exploring what it truly means to be transformed in response to God's mercy. From Romans 12:1–2, he reminds us that worship isn't limited to singing or Sunday services—it's offering our whole lives to God as a living sacrifice. When we see the depth of God's mercy in Jesus, we're called to resist being shaped by the values of this age and instead be renewed in our minds. True transformation comes as we learn to think, live, and love in ways that please God in every part of life.

Every person is created to worship. The question is not whether we worship, but whom and how we worship. In John 4:19-26, Jesus speaks with a Samaritan woman at the well about one of the greatest questions of life: how do we truly worship God? She points to the age-old debate between Jews and Samaritans about the right place to worship, but Jesus lifts her eyes to a greater truth. True worship is not about a mountain or a temple. It is about knowing God as He has revealed Himself and coming to Him in the way He has provided.Jesus tells her that the Father is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. This means worship that is alive, heartfelt, and empowered by the Spirit, not empty ritual or outward form. It also means worship that is grounded in God's truth, centred on who He really is and on what He has done through His Son. Worship in spirit and truth comes through Jesus alone, who brings us into the presence of the Father by His death and resurrection. Jesus is the way to worship God rightly and fully.Series: Worship Sermon SeriesScripture: John 4:19-26Speaker: Pastor David Hallett

Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost Bible Readings Amos 6:1–7, Luke 16:19–31, Hebrews 13:1–6, Worship Folder Pastor Paul A. Tullberg Sermon text: Revelation 22:6-21 He is Coming Soon 6 He told me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord God of the spirits and of the prophets has sent his messenger to show his servants the things that must happen soon.” 7 “See! I am coming soon! How blessed is the person who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book!” The Vision of an Exhortation to Worship God 8 I, John, heard and saw these things. When I had heard and seen them, I bowed down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing me these things. 9 But he told me, “Don't do that! I am a fellow servant with you, your brothers the prophets, and those who keep the words in this book. Worship God!” 10 Then he told me, “Don't seal up the words of the prophecy in this book, because the time is near. 11 Let the one who does what is evil continue to do what is evil. Let the filthy person continue to be filthy. Let the righteous person continue to do what is right. And let the holy person continue to be holy.” Concluding Benediction 12 “See! I am coming soon! My reward is with me to repay everyone according to his behavior. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. 14 “How blessed are those who wash their robes so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city! 15 Outside are dogs, sorcerers, immoral people, murderers, idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. 16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give this testimony to you for the churches. I am the root and descendant of David, the bright morning star.” Concluding Invitation 17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” Let everyone who hears this say, “Come!” Let everyone who is thirsty come! Let anyone who wants the water of life take it as a gift! Concluding Warning 18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy in this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will strike him with the plagues that are written in this book. 19 If anyone takes away any words from the book of this prophecy, God will take away his portion of the tree of life and the holy city that are described in this book. Epilogue 20 The one who is testifying to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! 21 May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with all the saints. Amen. This is part 2 of "Make It Make Sense," our series at Fusion Christian Church where we ask difficult questions and look for biblical answers. In week 2 of the series, Pastor Zac teaches how to deal with suffering in our lives.Suffering follows evil.Suffering is a consequence of the fall of creation as described in Genesis 3. Because humans sinned, we all experience the consequences of that sin through suffering and pain. While some choose to blame God, each of us has committed more than enough sin to deserve our own pain. Though choosing to blame God is tempting, there are some things we should remember about the God we would accuse.Jesus entered our suffering on the cross. The God who some choose to accuse of evil is the very God who entered into creation to suffer an excruciating death on our behalf. We do not have a God who is distant or uncaring, but a God who experienced human suffering in full. Therefore God is able to understand our weaknesses and sympathize with us. Not only this, but God can strengthen us in our time of need. Remember that God is able to take what was meant for evil and turn it for good. In light of this, how should we respond when we face suffering?Worship God - in suffering and in joy. When we experience intense suffering, the last thing we may want to do is praise God, but it helps. As shocking as it may be, choosing to praise God through the trials instills hope when we would otherwise despair. To help in times of trouble, train yourself to praise him in the hills so you are ready to praise in the valleys.Let suffering open your heart and eyes to see God more clearly.Paradoxically, God's goodness is revealed most clearly in our suffering. If we choose to praise him through it, we can feel his comfort and learn to know him more closely.Don't let suffering crush you - let God use it to make you stronger.Suffering can easily cause us to turn bitter. That temptation is strong. Choose, however, to let God strengthen you through the experience instead. Trust God to lead you through it and you will end up stronger in faith because of it.Remember: suffering in this world is temporary for the Christian. This world is not all there is, but rather the Christian has hope for the next one. There will come a day when God will wipe away every tear and set all things right. God is loving and just, and he will both establish justice and save his people.Use your experience to comfort others. When we experience trials, we should remember them so that we might comfort others in the same situation. Our trials are not ours alone, but they equip us to help others when they face similar circumstances. Whatever the pain you face, trust in God to deliver you through it.

SUMMARY: *The conversation centers around the challenges of parenting, particularly when dealing with prodigal children—those who stray from their upbringing and values. *The speakers discuss the emotional and spiritual battles parents face, emphasizing the importance of spiritual warfare and maintaining a relationship with God. *Personal experiences of feeling unprepared for the struggles of raising children, especially as they grow older and make their own choices. *Debra McNinch shares the battle plan God showed her and reminded parents that the outcome of their children's lives is ultimately in God's hands. *Forgiveness for moms who struggle with guilt was discussed and Debra shares a 3 point process to use. She reminded listeners the need to accept God's forgiveness and to stand firm in faith, even amidst difficulties. *The discussion highlights the significance of identity in Christ and the importance of loving children without compromising biblical truths. *The speakers conclude by promoting a sense of community among parents facing similar challenges and encouraging them to remember that they are not alone in their battles. PODCAST INTRO: My guest, Debra McNinch sits down to have an in-depth conversation about prodigal children and we talked about all the ways this affects a mother's heart. No matter the type of rebellion your child is walking in, addiction, LGBTQ, rebellion of family values, estrangement, cutting off parents has become a huge movement…really any way that we see our children living outside the way they were raised specifically the biblical values that the parent tried to instill. We talked about guilt and how mom's and dad's can find forgiveness vs beating ourselves up over the would'ves, could'ves & should'ves. I'll put (in the show notes) a quick list of the 3 ways to engage forgiveness but don't miss out on the message surrounding it because Debra gives much more info in the episode itself. We looked at shifting the burden that we carry in our heart for our child's salvation and their entry into heaven because ultimately it's not our responsibility, it's God's job and He is trustworthy to watch over His children. God has a purpose and a plan for your child just like He has one for you. I beginning to understand that the key is learning how to get behind God to support what God is doing. But I'll be honest, that is not for the weak hearted because you have to be willing to lay down the illusion we carry with regard to control, we have to address our pride and we have to be willing to cling to God when we see our children struggling through consequences. We acknowledged that this is spiritual warfare and that Satan is trying his best to not only destroy the family unit but to cut off and destroy generations that belong to our children. Debra shares a strategy for our battle stance to be able to affectively engage and strike down the enemy of our soul. We may not be responsible for our children's faith but as Debra says, Love goes to war; so we can certainly stand in the gap and effectively fight the Goliath that is coming after them. Debra's 5 point battle stance that she shares can also be seen in the show notes but again, she shares much more detail in the episode so don't miss that bit of gold. Some of our conversation is based on the belief that if we raise a child in the church and instill biblical values we believe we have a guarantee of their salvation and their pursuit of Christ and heaven's value system etc. but many of us know that it does not guarantee they will always adhere to those instilled values. If I had to boil this conversation down to 2 major takeaways, it would be hard but I think I'd side with Debra's personal battle cry…No one fights alone and also when she said something that I have come to understand more deeply after walking this valley of loosing my husband….”God's promise isn't that you're going to get the perfect outcome. His promise is that He'll never leave you and that He's going to walk with you the whole way.” Knowing you're not alone is a lifeline for the heart. Near the end of our conversation Debra had me super encouraged as she gave the battle cry for all parents to stand up. For us to fight the lies that culture dictates, and to dismantle the belief that we're powerless adding that engaging God's heart in the battle is where our power comes from. If you're a parent of a prodigal, Debra offers guidance and hope. You can receive more in-depth instruction in her book, Battle Cry - Waging the Spiritual Battle for Your Prodigal. And you can find encouragement in her support group, Battlecrymoms.com. Let's listen in to find hope and understanding on how to engage the power of Christ in order to give God the burden and how we are to stand in agreement with Him. Live Loved and Thrive! Sherrie Pilk 3 STEPS TO FIND FORGIVENESS: - Go to the alter ask God for forgiveness - Ask your child forgiveness - Put on the Armor (action) and Stand (in faith) that Christ is going to fight the battle for you. Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost Bible Readings Psalm 27, Luke 16:1-13, 1 Timothy 6:6-10, 17-19, Worship Folder Pastor Paul A. Tullberg Sermon text: Revelation 13:9-14:7 9 Anyone who hears these things should listen to this: 10 Whoever is to be a prisoner, will be a prisoner. Whoever is to be killed with a sword, will be killed with a sword. This means that God's holy people must have patience and faith. The Beast From the Earth 11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he talked like a dragon. 12 This beast stood before the first beast and used the same power the first beast had. He used this power to make everyone living on the earth worship the first beast. The first beast was the one that had the death wound that was healed. 13 The second beast did great miracles. He even made fire come down from heaven to earth while people were watching. 14 This second beast fooled the people living on earth by using the miracles that he had been given the power to do for the first beast. He ordered people to make an idol to honor the first beast, the one that was wounded by the sword but did not die. 15 The second beast was given power to give life to the idol of the first beast. Then the idol could speak and order all those who did not worship it to be killed. 16 The second beast also forced all people, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to have a mark put on their right hand or on their forehead. 17 No one could buy or sell without this mark. (This mark is the name of the beast or the number of its name.) 18 Anyone who has understanding can find the meaning of the beast's number. This requires wisdom. This number is the number of a man. It is 666. God's People Sing a New Song 14 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, who was standing on Mount Zion. There were 144,000 people with him. They all had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound from heaven as loud as the crashing of floodwaters or claps of thunder. But it sounded like harpists playing their harps. 3 The people sang a new song before the throne and before the four living beings and the elders. The only ones who could learn the new song were the 144,000 who had been bought from the earth. No one else could learn it. 4 These are the ones who did not do sinful things with women. They kept themselves pure. Now they follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were bought from among the people of the earth as the first to be offered to God and the Lamb. 5 They are not guilty of telling lies; they are without fault. The Three Angels 6 Then I saw another angel flying high in the air. The angel had the eternal Good News to announce to the people living on earth—to every nation, tribe, language, and race of people. 7 The angel said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him praise. The time has come for God to judge all people. Worship God. He made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and the springs of water.” Copyright © 2006 by Bible League International Take a Moment to recall something from today's message. To be known as a good, churchgoing man remains part of being an upstanding citizen. Publicly being a Christian is a status-enhancer. Christian moral norms are the basis moral norms of society and violating them can bring negative consequences.- Neutral World (1994-2014): Society takes a neutral stance towards Christianity. Christianity no longer has privileged status but is not disfavored. Being publicly known as a Christian has neither a positive nor a negative impact on one's social status. Christianity is a valid option within a pluralistic public square. Christian moral norms retain some residual effect. - Negative World (2014-Present): Society has come to have a negative view of Christianity. Begin known as a Christian is a social negative, particularly in the elite domains of society. Christian morality is expressively repudiated and seen as a threat to the public good and the new public moral order. Subscribing to Christian moral views or violating the secular moral order beings negative consequences. - Positive World (pre-1994)  Neutral World (1994-2014)  Negative World (2014-present)- “We shall soon be in a world in which a man may be howled down for saying that two and two make four, in which furious party cries will be raised against anybody who says that cows have horns, in which people will persecute the heresy of calling a triangle a three-sided figure, and hang a man for maddening a mob with the news that grass is green.” GK Chesterton- Patriarchal if you believe what the Bible says about men's leadership in the home.  Sexist if you believe what the Bible says about wives prioritizing the home and following their husbands leadership.   Racist if you believe what the Bible says about a biblical definition of justice.   Homophobic if you believe what the Bible says about marriage and sexuality.   Transphobic if you believe what the Bible says about gender.- If you believe someone is mistaken, you try to persuade them. This week, Phill will be exploring that first great task, Worship God. Why is worship the first task of the church? What does it mean to worship? And why does Sunday so often feel different from the rest of the week? It has brought Phill great joy to explore this task, and he is so excited to invite you into what he has learned. Donald Trump, Taylor Swift, and the Failure to Protect Our Children

Today's episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson is a carefully crafted full-on rant about two awful cultural failures, Donald Trump and Taylor Swift. Both, in their own ways, are failing the next generation and pushing the normalization of pedophilia. Trump refuses to release the Epstein list or hold powerful pedophiles accountable. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift flaunts her naked body on her album cover marketed to an audience that includes young girls who are already being tempted by a society pushing them toward OnlyFans. Feminism has clearly failed. We need to bring back the biblical patriarchy, AKA Christianity. At some point, we have to stop asking why is all of this happening and start living biblically individually, in our families, and as a society. For the sake of our own wellbeing and (far more importantly) the protection of our children. If we can't even agree to safeguard their innocence, what are we doing? Why aren't we protecting the children?--https://bakerbookhouse.com/featured/the-brand-sunday

Most people think worship means singing songs—but the Bible reveals it's far deeper. True worship is a lifestyle of beholding, intimacy, and sacrifice. In short, it must become the posture of your heart, the focus of your life, and the daily offering of yourself to God. In this Christ-centered Bible teaching, Nathan Johnson explores what biblical worship really means, uncovering its rich depth in Scripture through the ideas of beholding, kissing, and sacrifice. Discover how worship is a lifestyle that transforms every area of your life, helping you glorify Jesus Christ in everything you do.
