“But Lord, I thought You asked me to worship You this way!” How does idolatry slip into our worship as believers in Jesus Christ? Let's talk about how to recognize when we're stuck in idolatry, how to get out of it with our faith intact, and how to “idol proof” ourselves moving forward. “ The post The Idols We Worship God With appeared first on Jubilee Church.
This morning, we study one of the most unique chapters of the Bible, Psalms 119 - one that reminds us of an essential foundation for our faith.

Today's episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson is a carefully crafted full-on rant about two awful cultural failures, Donald Trump and Taylor Swift. Both, in their own ways, are failing the next generation and pushing the normalization of pedophilia. Trump refuses to release the Epstein list or hold powerful pedophiles accountable. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift flaunts her naked body on her album cover marketed to an audience that includes young girls who are already being tempted by a society pushing them toward OnlyFans. Feminism has clearly failed. We need to bring back the biblical patriarchy, AKA Christianity. At some point, we have to stop asking why is all of this happening and start living biblically individually, in our families, and as a society. For the sake of our own wellbeing and (far more importantly) the protection of our children. If we can't even agree to safeguard their innocence, what are we doing? Why aren't we protecting the children?--https://bakerbookhouse.com/featured/the-brand-sunday

Psalm 103 A Playlist of PraiseBig Idea: Gratitude shifts your focus and strengthens your soul.We worship god for who He is, not how we feel.David's masterclass in fighting spiritual amnesia:1. Worship God for His benefits (Rev 21:4;Col 1:13-14; 1Jn 3:1)2. Worship God for His character (Psalm 130:3-4) God's righteousness is all encompassing! God deals with us through His character, not by what we deserve.3. Worship god for His love. (John 14:16a & 17b) Have you experienced God's love personally? If so, how?Three practical next steps:1. Make your own list of God's benefits in your life.2. Start your day with praise.3. Turn your complaints into gratitude. (James 1: 2-4, 12, 19-21)
Most people think worship means singing songs—but the Bible reveals it's far deeper. True worship is a lifestyle of beholding, intimacy, and sacrifice. In short, it must become the posture of your heart, the focus of your life, and the daily offering of yourself to God. In this Christ-centered Bible teaching, Nathan Johnson explores what biblical worship really means, uncovering its rich depth in Scripture through the ideas of beholding, kissing, and sacrifice. Discover how worship is a lifestyle that transforms every area of your life, helping you glorify Jesus Christ in everything you do. Whether you're a new believer or a mature Christian longing to go deeper, this message will help you understand that worship goes beyond music and will inspire you to live fully for the preeminence, majesty, and glory of Jesus.Watch this episode as a video on YouTubeCheck out the study notes for this episode-----------------» Join the Deeper Christian community and receive the Deeper Digest each Saturday, which includes all the quotes, articles, podcasts, and resources from Nathan and Deeper Christian from the week to help you grow spiritually.-----------------Deeper Christian Podcast • Episode 362View the shownotes for this episode and get other Christ-centered teaching and resources at: deeperChristian.com/362
