This week Alethea sits down with Tash Binnie, a medical student and the creator of Future Frontline and mental health podcast Stories vs Stigma to discuss life as a medicine student during the pandemic, what Future Frontline is and why it's so important to bring together professionals in all medicine and why we need to speak about our mental health.

This week is all about women in music. Alethea sits down with Robyn Walker, the lead singer of Big Fat Big and a prominent figure in the North East music scene, to discuss sexism within the music industry, regional music and why we should be giving women more space on the stage.

This week is all about sex as we tackle the stigmatization of sex workers. Joined by Helen Williams, a professor at the University of Sunderland who set up a safe space for student sex workers and pornstar/director Dan Leal who has been in the porn industry for over 20 years and has shot over 5000 scenes tells us about the stigma he's faced and how to stay safe in the industry.

Alethea is joined by founder or NewGraduate Olivia Lynch and vegan business owner Barbara Longo-Flint to discuss female empowerment and women in business. Find out how to launch your business, market yourself and be assertive and manage a team like a female boss!

Alethea is joined by Emma Trueman, the mastermind between talkingsexed and a current MA student focusing on Relationships, Sex and Health education. The girls talk about sex education, the curriculum, what the future holds for sex ed as well as discussing their own sex stories and taking comments and questions from the audience. Can you believe England still does not require pleasure to be taught in sex education?

This time we're talking about body image, how sizing in different stores derails our body image and how we feel about representation in the media and clothing campaigns.

Alethea sat down with Dr Amy Pearson, a senior lecturer in Psychology who specialises in autism, to discuss what autism is, how it presents differently in women, how to get a diagnosis and dispelling myths and misconceptions about autism.

Here at in her shoes we believe we don't speak nearly enough about women's issues. Whether that's entering male-dominated work spaces or even the more taboo topics like periods, sex, and consent and all that lovely stuff. We're here to (hopefully) shed a light on these issues while making you feel like you're part of our little girl gang.
