Let's Talk About That

It's the return of Let's Talk About That!!  Toronto-based singer/teacher/writer Heidi Lange returns with a new interview format, speaking with artists.  To kick things off, I talked to the ridiculously talented (and well-rounded!) composer/lyricist/violinist/singer/carpenter/chef/former lawyer Kevin Wong.

It's a very wine-y Let's Talk About That.  I'm joined by the infamous Li'l Roomie.  Things get loud when we talk about recent events regarding Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.  Then we talked about some other stuff...it's a little hazy now.

On Easter Monday, we munch on chocolate as we talk about....chocolate.  The joys of Easter, Edward's favourite holiday!  We go on to talk about wedding music, the demise of the album, Unhealthy Obsessions, and questionably legal ways to access tv shows.

Back to talk about so much!!!  After a lengthy hiatus, Heidi returns with co-host Edward!!  We talk about Adele Dazeem, er, Idina Menzel and various levels of admiration, low and high.  This leads to some thoughts about the movie "Frozen", which we utterly unconsciously and almost consistently call "Let It Go".  (We hear that song a lot.)  Finally, we get to our regular segment talking about our Unhealthy Obsessions.  Let's Talk About That!! 

Heidi goes solo with some thoughts about Steubenville, rape culture and "slutty girls".

In this episode, we discuss the Oscar show, which Heidi watched and Chris didn't.  What's the deal with Seth McFarlane anyway?  We'll also hear of Chris' plan to host the Oscars himself someday.  And why Hollywood movies need to take some notes from TV.  And our regular segment, Unhealthy Obsessions.  Less cursing, more coherence--Let's Talk About That!

The first episode of Let's Talk About That, a new podcast devoted to all things pop cultural, and the serious (not), passionate (yes) conversations that follow.  Hosted by Heidi Lange; my guest this week is performer and musician Chris Tsujiuchi.  We will discuss the long-awaited film version of the beloved musical "Les Miserables"--I manage to render Chris speechless!--as well as our current Unhealthy Obsessions.  Hope you enjoy it!
