You'll learn: The difference between conviction and guilt, and why it matters for your heart How to release last year's unmet expectations, comparison-driven goals, and the belief that you “should be further along” A simple surrender moment to let go of what God never asked you to carry Why starting again doesn't mean failure—it means you are still responding to God Plus, I share how the Faithfully Balanced course can help you: Identify your foundational priorities Create faith-filled, sustainable weekly rhythms Set healthy boundaries without guilt or overwhelm Restore your heart and perspective so starting again feels peaceful, not heavy

This week on the Sleep Unplugged podcast, we are looking at sleep resolutions made for the new year and why they often fail. In this episode, we present six insomnia resolutions that don't ask you to “try harder” — because insomnia isn't a motivation problem, a discipline problem, or a character flaw. In this episode we will:Reframe why New Year's sleep resolutions failThink about insomnia as a brain trained to stay alert and how that reshapes our insomnia therapy goalsDiscuss how CBT-I actually retrains the brain (not willpower) and how it fits in with the way we view insomnia therapyLearn why fixing insomnia requires better systems, better language, and better care, and not more effortUnderstand why insomnia can be tough to fix aloneProduced by: Maeve WinterMore Twitter: @drchriswinter IG: @drchriwinter Threads: @drchriswinter Bluesky: @drchriswinter The Sleep Solution and The Rested Child Thanks for listening and sleep well!
I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Friday morning, the 2nd of January, 2026, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Leviticus 19:18: “You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbour as yourself: I am the Lord.” When the Lord says, “I am the Lord”, it is a serious commandment. Then we go straight to the Book of Mark 12:31: ”And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these.”The second greatest commandment in the Bible, after loving God, is to love your neighbour, to love him as you love yourself. That is quite a commandment. If you look in the Book of Leviticus, it talks about having no grudge against your neighbour. I looked up the Oxford Dictionary to find out the literal meaning of the word, “grudge” and grudge means, “persistent feeling of ill-will or resentment, resulting from a past injury or insult.” Now, as we go into a brand spanking new year, let us let go of any issue that we have with our neighbour, because it is baggage, it is heavy and it just weighs us down. Just let it go. “Ja, but Angus, I can't. You know my father and mother have preferred my brother or my sister more than me.” Well, that is what you think, but you don't really know, do you? Maybe what you didn't understand was, you had tremendous giftings and your brother or your sister didn't have that, so mom and dad tried to compensate to help your brother or your sister. They love you just the same. Remember the prodigal son when he came back and he had wasted all his money. His father was so happy to see him come back, remember? But the older brother was very upset. He said, “You didn't even give us a little goat that we could sacrifice, and you killed the fattest calf for my brother, who has been out, wasting his life. Remember what the father said, “Aah but, I have got you and all my inheritance is yours! I am just trying to help your brother.”Today, let it go and let us start to live a brand-new year without any resentment or ill-feeling towards anyone else for any past issue. Leave it at the foot of the Cross and press on.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.

On this episode of Life's Undertaking, Brad shares a story about letting go on the road to freedom.
Surrendering something to God is not always easy when we are holding on too tight. It can take bravery and trust to let Him move things out that don't belong.

A short devotional tying the Christmas story to our Let It Go journey—reminding us that even when life feels unfinished, Jesus arrives as our Redeemer. Silent Night helps you release the need for closure, trust God with the loose ends, and carry peace into the new year.
Australia retain the Ashes in record time and the reaction from England is every bit as messy as their cricket. Menners tears into Ben Stokes, Bazball spin, and the latest round of “moral victory” nonsense, before turning to Australia's Boxing Day Ashes squad announcement. With injuries to Nathan Lyon and Pat Cummins, the episode breaks down the logic behind the selections, the options for Melbourne, and how Australia might balance their XI at the MCG. There's also praise for Cummins' leadership, frustration with Cricket Australia decisions, and a couple of classic “Can't Let It Go” moments as the Boxing Day Test looms. England's Ashes meltdown: Stokes, excuses, and moral victories (1:02) Australia announce Boxing Day squad: Lyon out, Murphy in, Cummins sidelined (7:10) MCG XI debate: batting order, Green, Inglis, and bowling balance (14:25) Can't Let It Go: Day 5 ticketing and the overloaded international calendar (20:55) Cricket Unfiltered Merchandise is Here! Nearly 29 years after six-year-old JonBenét Ramsey was found murdered in her family's Boulder, Colorado basement, Boulder Police have announced significant movement in the case. Chief Stephen Redfearn confirmed that investigators have collected new evidence, retested existing evidence with modern DNA technology, and conducted new interviews over the past year. Dozens of items are currently being tested at the Colorado Bureau of Investigation — including evidence from the basement crime scene that was never tested before. At CrimeCon 2025, the Ramsey family's former attorney Hal Haddon pointed to the garrote used to strangle JonBenét as potentially critical, noting that DNA analysis of the knots could be "promising" since someone had to tie them. John Andrew Ramsey, JonBenét's half-brother, says it's "not if but when" the case gets solved. But here's what's strange: as we get closer to potential answers, some people are suddenly saying "let it rest" or "let it go." After 29 years of obsession with this case, why would anyone not want it solved? The psychology is fascinating — and disturbing. Whether you believe the family was involved or an intruder did it, whoever actually committed this crime benefits from the ambiguity continuing forever. The ransom note — written on a pad from inside the home, with a pen from inside the home, demanding the exact amount of John Ramsey's bonus — has never been explained. Patsy Ramsey was never fully excluded as its author. The 2008 "exoneration" of the family remains deeply contested by former investigators. We don't know who killed JonBenét. But someone does. And they're counting on us to stop asking. #JonBenétRamsey #JonBenet #TrueCrime #ColdCase #BoulderPolice #DNAEvidence #RansomNote #TrueCrimeCommunity #ColdCaseMurder #JusticeForJonBenet Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Ever wondered how a hook can change the room before you even realize you're dancing? We revisit Nina Sky's self-titled debut and the lightning-bolt session that birthed Move Ya Body in about twenty minutes, unpacking how a global riddim, sharp production choices, and twin harmonies fused into a sound that defined countless nights out. From Puerto Rican roots and a Queens upbringing to the Coolie Dance riddim supplied by Cipha Sounds and the Jetsons' studio touch, we pull on every thread that made this record both a radio staple and a deep-cut treasure chest. We don't stop at the single. You'll hear us sit with the R&B core that powers tracks like You Deserve It and Let It Go, where the writing is tender, direct, and emotionally clean. We break down drum pockets, tremolo lines, and why minimalist rhythms make dance floors breathe. Goodbye and Your Time open a window into intimacy and misalignment; Runaway channels the urge to escape chaos without glamorizing it; Surely Missed holds grief and memory with restraint. Then there's Temperatures Rising, an acoustic-leaning standout whose nylon-string warmth and layered harmonies feel close enough to touch.Along the way, Tim shares a vivid Williamsburg memory—water tower skyline, a DJ rinsing that riddim, a $25 drink that turned into a keepsake—showing how personal moments fuse to songs and never let go. We spin the full album, weigh the genre alchemy of dancehall, reggae, reggaeton, and R&B, and close by picking our three favorite non-hits. If you love understanding why certain records live forever in clubs and in heads, you'll feel right at home here.Hit play, ride the beat with us, and tell us your top deep cut from the album. Australia surge to a dominant 2–0 Ashes lead, and Menners and Damien break down everything from Hazlewood and Wood being ruled out, to selection headaches, England's unraveling, and record-breaking TV ratings. They dive into Australia's bowling depth, the Head/Weatherald opening debate, Baz McCullum's pressure cooker, and why England's tour is bordering on farce. Here's what a perfect day in Hollywood Studios looks like! Morning: Rope Drop Energy & Star Wars DreamsIf you arrive at rope drop, you'll find excitement buzzing through the crowd. The sun is barely up, but everyone is already strategizing. For many, the first mission of the day is navigating Batuu.I headed straight to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, where the sounds of droids and starships fill the air. There's nothing quite like wandering the market stalls as the land wakes up. I hopped in line for Rise of the Resistance, which—no matter how many times you've ridden—is jaw-droppingly immersive. From the First Order Star Destroyer hangar to the runaway escape pod, it's more than a ride; it's a cinematic moment you get to live. Then it was time for a little friendly competition on Smugglers Run. I'm not saying I was the best pilot the Millennium Falcon has ever seen, but I did manage to avoid crashing into anything major.Late Morning: Toy Story Fun & NostalgiaFrom the rugged outpost of Batuu, I strolled into the colorful world of Toy Story Land. Giant building blocks, oversized toy footprints, and Slinky Dog whizzing by—everything here feels like Saturday morning nostalgia.Slinky Dog Dash is the perfect family coaster: smooth, joyful, fast enough to thrill but still full of charm. Afterward, Toy Story Mania offered a chance to test my aim. I walked away with slightly sore arms and enormous pride at beating my own high score.Lunch: A Break on Sunset BoulevardFor lunch, I wandered to Sunset Boulevard, grabbing a quick bite under the palm trees. Street performers were out, adding a little showbiz sparkle to the day. If you're hungry and in a rush, the snack options here are ideal—plus, there's always the temptation of a Mickey pretzel.Afternoon: Thrills, Shows & A Touch of Disney MagicYou can't visit Hollywood Studios without feeling that mix of excitement and dread as you approach The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. The eerie music, the flickering marquees, the feeling that the building is watching you—it's chilling in the best way. The drop sequence? Still one of the most delightfully unpredictable thrills in all of Walt Disney World.Next door, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith delivers a lightning-fast launch that sends you straight into a whirlwind of neon. If you love coasters, this is one of those rides that sticks with you.Needing a breather afterward, I caught a showing of For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. There's nothing quite like watching adults and kids alike belt out “Let It Go” with absolutely no shame. The humor and improv from the royal historians make this show a must-see.Evening: Pixar Place, Characters & Golden Hour MagicAs the sun dipped lower, I wandered around Pixar Place, where character meet-and-greets and playful photo ops made for perfect golden-hour memories. Hollywood Studios takes on a special glow in the evening—neon lights flicker to life, and the park feels cinematic in a whole new way.Dinner at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo hit the spot: creative dishes with that perfect Galaxy's Edge theming.Night: An Epic FinaleTo end the day, I found a spot for Fantasmic!, the iconic nighttime spectacular. Watching Sorcerer Mickey battle classic Disney villains while fountains, projections, and fireworks dance across the water is the perfect emotional wrap-up to the adventure. As the final burst of fireworks faded, I walked out with tired feet, a happily aching smile, and that warm, glowing feeling Disney seems to conjure so effortlessly.Final ThoughtsA day at Hollywood Studios is more than a park visit—it's stepping into your favorite movies, embracing nostalgia, chasing thrills, and soaking up wonderfully crafted storytelling from morning to night. December is your release season. The weight, the wound, the pride—it can't come with you into the next year. Let It Go is about closure, surrender, and making space for what's next. Healing doesn't always start with holding on—sometimes it starts with letting go. This series is a spiritual cleanse before the crossover; a final reset that frees your hands for what God is about to place in them.
In this episode of Ask and Answered by Soul, Jennifer Urezzio sits down with Bonnie Schultz — founder of Tandem Resource Solutions and host of the Delegate to Elevate podcast — to dive deep into the spiritual, emotional, and practical power of letting go. With honesty, humor, and heart, Bonnie shares her journey from corporate imposter syndrome to empowered CEO. She reveals how reclaiming her voice, choosing joy, and building a business based on trust and team have helped her create spaciousness in both her life and her soul. Together, Jennifer and Bonnie explore: Why letting go is more than a spiritual cliché — it's a leadership skill. How control keeps us stuck (and broke). What delegation has to do with Divine alignment. The songs that inspire surrender (yes, “Let It Go” makes a cameo). What it really means to lead with heart and strategy in tandem. You'll walk away with tangible practices to release control, reconnect with joy, and grow a soul-aligned business that doesn't cost you your peace. Learn more about your ad choices. Oppa Gangnam Style! On this episode of Baconsale, we're putting one-hit wonders that were Classic around 7 Years ago on a bracket. We'll have many Little Talks to decide which tracks are Bulletproof and which ones don't deserve a Replay. We may leave some millennials Brokenhearted as we Say Something negative about a song they love, but Don't You Worry Child, we don't mean to make Waves. You just need to Let It Go. Joel, Kent, and Zack are going to Sail through this first round of 64 songs. However, we won't finish the tournament Tonight Tonight. It is Written in the Stars that we'll pick a winner next time (Like a G6). So say Geronimo, enjoy the Sweater Weather, and press play! Visit Baconsale.com to find our official Spotify playlist and download this bracket.
