On this episode we go to The Body Shop in Appleton to talk to their tattoo artist Adrian Valdez. We talk all things tattoo and the journey that brought Adrian there. Starting out doing graffiti on train cars to permanently inking his art onto the human skin.
On this episode we talk with Chris Jourdan all things music, the joys of starting a new band, and what lead him to his solo career. We discuss the realities of depression and how sometimes you come out the other end of it all with a new perspective on life. We discuss the early days of the band as well as how it developed into what they have become today. We also cover an array of topics from fighting your band mates, to why taking a lot of drugs is the best feeling ever, to The Cranberries, to Mile of Music and of course the burning question in everybody's minds: Kid Rock? In this interview we chat with Wolf, local tattoo artist at The Body Shop in Appleton. We talk about some of his early influences, what it was like growing up in LA and coming here, stories from the road, and what keeps the drive alive to create and grow as an artist on several different levels.
Stephanie is a Painter and Fiber Artist. She is active in the community and attends many events with her pop culture inspired arts of a few different mediums. She has a booth and online Etsy shop called Funky Remnants. Her vintage/retro style has set her apart from many contemporary artists in this area.
We get to know Leah Huff, a local working artist and professional photographer. Leah tells us how she got into both mediums as well as what it was like growing up with our own NSTAA Host Ross Huff as an older brother. She talks about her experiences living elsewhere and what its like doing something she is passionate about as a profession.
Tyler is a local comic that has been an active part in setting up shows and helping grow the local comedy scene to what it is today. Tyler is known for his unique tempo of rapid fire jokes with an undertone of angst. We chat with Tyler and get to know him a little better both in and out of comedy.
