Trump casually posted a racist video and the White House essentially told Americans to calm down. Convicted felons are being treated better than rounded-up immigrants in detention centers. And the evangelicals' favorite president doesn't seem to understand the meaning of the word, prayer. Still, Republicans on The Hill are seeing the broad unpopularity of ICE's behavior in Minnesota and may be starting to distance themselves from the policies they funded. Plus, a simple measure beyond masks that could really rein in ICE, the extensive structural damage at the DOJ, trads keep rationalizing cruelty, and why is SCOTUS taking so long on the tariffs case? Also, Tim puts David in the squirm chair with a Kid Rock v. Bad Bunny lyrics quiz. We go straight at it today with Celebrity News! Is proposing during the Super Bowl the ultimate romantic gesture—or just a way to guarantee your engagement photos smell like buffalo chicken dip? The Rizzuto Show debates a listener's halftime proposal idea and somehow turns it into a full-blown relationship autopsy complete with ranch stains, Kid Rock jokes, and worst-case-scenario crowd reactions. From there, things go exactly where you'd expect: nowhere reasonable. The crew reacts to Bad Bunny's upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, discusses why performers make zero dollars for the biggest stage on Earth, and dives into newly discovered Ozzy Osbourne rehearsal tapes recorded right after his split from Black Sabbath. This naturally evolves into the accidental creation of a new music genre called Cigarette Mom Rock, featuring smoky kitchens, indoor ashtrays, and aggressively emotional 90s anthems. The nostalgia doesn't stop there. Childhood icons are dragged into the light as Mr. Wizard is exposed as possibly the angriest man to ever teach science to children. Bill Nye somehow escapes unscathed, dinosaurs make a triumphant return thanks to Spielberg and Morgan Freeman, and Guns N' Roses fandom takes over the studio with passionate debates over intros, ballads, and Axel Rose's voice. This episode is a perfect snapshot of a funny podcast doing what it does best—overthinking everything, oversharing trauma, and laughing through pop culture chaos. If you're looking for a daily dose of sarcasm, nostalgia, and unhinged conversation, this funny podcast delivers exactly what it promises. Consider this your warning and your invitation. It's messy. It's unhinged. It's extremely on-brand. Join host Jeff for the Friday edition of Right on Radio Live — a fast-moving, opinionated episode for both live listeners and replay audiences. Jeff opens by weighing the future of his popular “Word on Word” Bible segment, explains his editorial intent and Christian worldview, and promises a mix of scripture, current events, and unsparing commentary. The show's Bible game compares two passages — Hebrews 12:1 and Proverbs 21:21 — with listeners voting live while Jeff explains why he personally leans toward the Hebrews passage and what that passage means for perseverance in a turbulent season. Major topics and clips covered include Candace Owens' recent investigation and her “Open Letter to Erica Kirk,” Tucker Carlson's on-the-ground interview in Jordan, and Jeff's ongoing tribulation series with Tim Cohen (including a teased “Where I Disagree” episode). Jeff also critiques returning media figures like Dan Bongino and explores how editorial bias shapes the narratives listeners hear. The episode delves into highly controversial themes and allegations that surface throughout online discourse: debates over Zionism and Israel, claims about media and financial influence, sensational accusations about elite wrongdoing and state operations, and discussions of organized online bot activity. Jeff frames these subjects from his perspective as a born‑again Christian and cautions listeners that every program carries an editorial slant. Cultural symbolism and conspiracy threads receive extended attention: UFO talk and a Biblical reading of cosmology; theories about Super Bowl 60 symbolism (the TPUSA halftime alternative, Bad Bunny and Kid Rock's involvement, “puppy show” folklore and date patterns tied to February 8, 2026); and analyses of ritualized imagery and subconscious programming promoted by some commentators. Throughout the hour Jeff plays and reacts to clips — including material from President Trump, Savannah Guthrie, Bishop Williamson, Tucker Carlson, Kid Rock, Benny Johnson and others — and clarifies that many claims are presented as commentary and sourced media rather than original reporting or in-studio interviews. The episode closes with practical direction: a call to extra time in Scripture and prayer, promotion of a Saturday night Telegram prayer call and Sunday's continuation of First Corinthians, and an appeal to love God, family and neighbor even amid sharp political and spiritual disputes. Forged by Fire: Jesse James on Craftsmanship, Controversy, and ReinventionThis week, Marcus and Melanie sit down with Jesse James, one of the most influential custom motorcycle builders of the modern era. A fabricator at heart and an old-school craftsman by trade, Jesse is best known as the founder of West Coast Choppers, a brand that redefined the custom chopper world with raw metal, rigid frames, and uncompromising attention to detail.Jesse's journey began in his mother's garage, where he learned the art of fabrication under the mentorship of legendary hot rod builder Boyd Coddington. What started as a passion for building with his hands quickly evolved into a full-scale operation in Long Beach, California—one that would grow to employ more than 50 people and produce hand-built motorcycles commanding prices from $50,000 to $150,000.His rise to national fame came through the Discovery Channel's Motorcycle Mania, which gave viewers an unfiltered look into his shop, his process, and his relentless standards. That exposure led to Monster Garage, cementing Jesse as a household name and a defining figure in reality-based automotive television.Known for crafting—not assembling—his bikes, Jesse's signature style emphasizes stretched frames, precision metalwork, and function-driven design over flash. His work has been commissioned by high-profile clients including Kid Rock and Shaquille O'Neal, further solidifying his influence across culture, sports, and entertainment. In 2010, after facing both personal and business challenges, Jesse closed the original West Coast Choppers headquarters and relocated to Texas. There, he rebuilt—both personally and professionally—continuing to create custom machines and expanding into new ventures, including firearms manufacturing and direct-to-consumer media through platforms like OTLW.tv.In this episode, Jesse opens up about learning discipline and skill the hard way, building a brand from nothing, the cost of fame and fast success, and why craftsmanship, grit, and honesty still matterThis is a raw, no-nonsense conversation about earning your skills, owning your mistakes, and building something real—one weld at a time.In this episode you will hear:• I went to Iraq in '03, a month after we invaded. We did a USO tour and Kid Rock went and invited me. Nobody from USO knew who I was, so I told them I was, so I lied and said I was his tour manager. (1:13)• I ended up going t jail my senior year for stealing cars. (14:47)• I went to college and it was like crabs trying to get out of a barrel. (15:25)• I was always working in the garage, building bikes. I had a Harley in High school. I was restoring bicycles, and building Volkswagons and sending them to Japan. I was hustling. (16:11)• From my parents being antique dealers, I had a huge, pretty valuable tin toy collection. Like really rare Mark 10 toys worth thousands of dollars. I loaded ‘em up in my car and took ‘em to the big toy show in Pasadena. I sold them all to a dealer, and I used that money to buy a mill and a lathe and a welder for my garage. (23:27)• If you're gonna wait for the right time, that's never coming. (23:51)• My dad started me really young working. I literally despised him for it. And now I'm thankful because I have this relentless work ethic. (25:01)• I restored a 1940 or '41 bicycle called the Hiawatha Chippewa. I bought it for $100. (29:08)• The first thing I ever made was a dust pan. (32:33)• I was getting pai $750 a week salary, and at night I was making about 15 grand a week, making and shipping fenders. (43:56)• If you would watch the Discovery channel in '99 and 2000, they would run [my documentary on how a motorcycle gets built by hand] over and over. It was the highest rated show in the history of the network. (53:32)• I did 118 cars. (56:43)• I love taking about what I do. I love interaction. (60:11)• [Marcus] When you're driving into work early – with an hour difference – what type of cars are on the road early in the morning as opposed to the ones during rush hour. I heard that. (61:47)• Success in this country, and in the world, isn't defined by tactile skills. (62:40)• I'm eliminating everything in my life that keeps me from working and being a craftsman. The chronology takes us to 1994 in this episode during a time where there were no act in the world bigger than Pearl Jam... outside of maybe Ace Of Base. Coming off of the release of Vs., the band continued to struggle with their rising stardom. Tickets for their shows were in such high demand, yet the band wasn't quite ready to take on bigger venues to hold the capacity crowds that wanted to experience them. This episode focuses on a show from Miami where the capacity issues reach a boiling point and led to fences being broken down, fans rushing the stage and arrests being made. For an 8,000 seat venue, an alleged 24,000 got through to see the show. On top of that, the band was unhappy because the venue featured corporate sponsorship signs that they demanded be covered up. It took the band an hour before they took the stage, which could have added to some of the commotion going on outside the gates, but when they started playing, you could sense a real anger and frustration in their tone. There's a moment where they needed to have a fan kicked out for being too dangerous in the pit. That emotion is what motivated them throughout the night as songs like Blood, Deep, Porch, Not For You and State Of Love And Trust brought intensity to what was already a tumultuous evening. We'll also talk about the beginning of their battle against Ticketmaster service fees and how maybe our only hope in our current environment is... Kid Rock... kill me. Welcome back to The Rizzuto Show, the daily comedy show that asks the important questions — like what genre is your life, why are all malls dying, and how did a World War I artillery shell end up in a man's body? The crew kicks things off by breaking down life as a movie genre. Is Rizz living a straight-up comedy? Is Lern trapped in a rom-com she didn't audition for? Is Moon starring in an action movie with jokes sprinkled in? And is Scott legally obligated to live inside a spaghetti western forever? Spoiler: Rafe's life may be a psychological thriller directed by someone who should not be allowed near a camera. From there, the show takes a nostalgic (and slightly depressing) turn as Eddie Bauer officially joins the retail graveyard. The gang runs through dead mall staples like Borders, Blockbuster, KB Toys, Gadzooks, Sports Authority, and basically your entire childhood. Crestwood Mall gets a full eulogy, Mid Rivers Mall gets absolutely roasted, and everyone agrees: online shopping killed the food court vibes. Then it's Super Bowl chaos. Kid Rock vs. Bad Bunny, alternative halftime shows, cultural representation, and why people are still mad about Maroon 5 years later. The crew also ranks the worst halftime performances of all time, and yes — Adam Levine's shirt removal is still haunting America. In news you didn't know you needed, February is statistically the safest month to not get punched in the face. Science says cold weather equals fewer fights, which leads to personal punch histories, parking-lot ego confessions, and a shocking chair-throwing fail from Australia where a guy absolutely destroys his own friend instead of a bouncer. And just when you think it can't get more unhinged, doctors in France discover a World War I shell inside a patient, triggering a hospital evacuation and a bomb squad visit no one wanted. It's a public service announcement wrapped in a cautionary tale wrapped in “please stop putting stuff there.”The episode also dives into rising U.S. life expectancy (good news!), Branson magician crime headlines (very bad news), and a man attempting to spend an entire year locked in one room to “get healthy,” which the crew debates is either inspiring discipline or a live-streamed mental breakdown. It's another daily comedy show episode that somehow educates, horrifies, and entertains — often at the same time. Laugh, cringe, and maybe stay indoors this February… for your face.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshowConnect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MOAustralian man is hit with flying chair thrown by his friend outside strip clubFrenchman hospitalized after inserting WWI munition up his rearMan Has Locked Himself in a Room for 365 Days to Improve His Health — and Is Now Livestreaming His 'Isolation Year' 24/7106-year-old retailer closing US stores in Chapter 11 bankruptcySee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Celebrity News: What Genre Is Your Life? (And Why Ours Is Definitely a Mess)

The Rizzuto Show

Play Episode Listen Later Feb 3, 2026 35:33

Our Celebrity News starts with a Welcome back to The Rizzuto Show, your favorite daily comedy show where deep philosophical questions last about 90 seconds before turning into chaos.Today's episode starts deceptively thoughtful: What genre is your life? Comedy? Horror? Rom-com? Greek tragedy? Straight-to-DVD disappointment? The crew breaks it down in the only way they know how — by roasting each other, name-dropping directors, and somehow landing on Tim Burton, Judd Apatow, Michael Bay, and Tommy Wiseau in the same breath. From there, things escalate fast. The gang debates the worst Super Bowl halftime show of all time, re-litigates Maroon 5's shirtless crimes against humanity, and tries (and fails) to agree on whether Bad Bunny, Kid Rock, or literally anyone else should be allowed near a halftime stage ever again. Spoiler: nobody wins. For you music nerds get fed too. KISS casually hits one billion YouTube views, Queen's touring future sparks debate, Aerosmith dreams are manifested aggressively, and a wild Paste Magazine “Top Guitarists of All Time” list sends the room into full disbelief when legends are left off and Prince reigns supreme. There's also real-world stuff mixed into the madness — heartfelt tributes, shocking news updates, and moments where the show accidentally becomes emotional before immediately undercutting it with jokes (as tradition demands).Basically, this daily comedy show has everything:Existential life questionsSuper Bowl halftime rageRock music historyQuestionable celebrity listsAccidental documentaries about being humanAnd the reminder that everyone's life is probably a comedy… just shot very poorlyIf you're here for a funny podcast, a daily show that refuses to stay on topic, or a comedy podcast that feels like your group chat came to life on the radio — congratulations, you're home.Stick around, subscribe, and prepare to question what genre your life is… while we absolutely do not fix ours.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MOSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The Rizzuto Show

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 29, 2026 40:28

Welcome to your daily comedy podcast, where absolutely nothing makes sense and we like it that way.Today's show kicks off with a story that nobody asked for but everyone will remember forever: a 73-year-old former born-again Christian reinventing herself as an escort named Busty Granny. She spent decades in prayer and celibacy, then hit 57, downloaded the internet, and said “oh… THIS is what we've been missing.” Now she's got clients young enough to still have homework and zero interest in OnlyFans because, quote, that sounds boring. Inspirational? Traumatizing? Both. Then we get into the most depressing career math of all time: a woman casually sings seven words into her phone for a Dr Pepper jingle and walks away with $2 million, while the rest of us are out here working full-time jobs and eating gas-station sandwiches. Naturally, this leads to the crew trying to invent jingles for every brand that will absolutely never call back.Somehow that spirals into one of the most fun debates we've had in a while — the biggest debut albums of all time. We're talking massive numbers, MTV miracles, and how one 4am spin turned a “failed” album into a 50-million-copy monster. Along the way we argue, forget basic facts, remember them loudly, and realize radio used to be way more powerful than TikTok will ever admit.Movies get dragged (respectfully… mostly), Brendan Fraser gets the comeback love he deserves, and we debate whether seeing a movie in a theater automatically adds two letter grades just because popcorn exists. In Crap on Celebrities, we hit everything from band lawsuits and surprise documentaries to tour dropouts, concert ticket chaos, and some genuinely heartbreaking but honest conversations about aging, memory, and how terrifying it is to not know what's happening inside your own brain. We also celebrate birthdays, overshare existential dread, and somehow end the show discussing a literal geyser of poop water blasting into the Potomac River — because if we're going to spiral, we're doing it together. It's another daily comedy podcast episode packed with weird news, pop culture, dark laughs, and moments where we all pause and go, “Wait… are we okay?”Spoiler: probably not. But at least we're funny.MUSICMotley Crue has officially won its heated legal battle against former guitarist Mick Mars. Lainey Wilson sure has kept herself busy. It was just announced that Netflix has officially acquired the new documentary "Lainey Wilson: Keepin' Country Cool". It drops on April 22nd. Two more artists have dropped out of the 2026 Rock the Country Festival. Morgan Wade and Carter Faith are no longer part of the lineup. And neither artist has shared an official reason for stepping away. Their exit comes just days after Ludacris also dropped out. His team called his original booking a "mix-up." The festival is headlined by Kid Rock and will feature Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Miranda Lambert, and more.In other Kid Rock News – he went to Congress to confront an issue we're all united on: How much Ticketmaster and Live Nation charge for shows. Quick Hits:Post Malone, Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, Duff McKagan, and Slash will perform a special tribute to Ozzy Osbourne during the Grammys on Sunday night.Jack White posted a video showing off the next Third Man Vault package, Jimi Hendrix's Valley of the Jams 1969-1970. Check it out on Instagram.Tom Morello and Rise Against will headline A Concert of Solidarity & Resistance to Defend Minnesota Friday at noon at First Avenue in Minneapolis. TVThe fourth season of Ted Lasso is set to debut this summer. Stephen Colbert announced on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" that the final episode of "The Late Show" will air on Thursday, May 21. MOVING ON INTO MOVIE NEWS:Matthew Lillard recently caught a stray from Quentin Tarantino when he said he didn't care for him. But that resulted in an outpouring of love that made Matthew feel like he was living through his own wake. Actress and producer Patricia Schneider has filed for divorce from Rob Schneider, describing their 15-year marriage as "irretrievably broken" with no chance of reconciliation. Bill Cosby has admitted under oath that he obtained prescriptions for Quaaludes specifically to give to women. Bruce Willis' wife, Emma says Bruce is unaware of his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.AND FINALLYHere are five of the BEST:1. Jack Black: "I was begging my boss for an extra shift, he overheard and tipped me $100 on a $20ish tab. From then on, he never left me less than a $50 tip and would always check in with me when it was the end of the month to make sure I had rent cash."2. Harrison Ford: "My uncle said that he's incredibly nice and took the whole crew out for lunch to thank them for working on his helicopter."3. Justin Bieber: "He was by himself at a mall, and he wasn't trying to be incognito . . . He drew me in with a big hug and chatted me up. He was lovely."4. John Travolta: "The guy is totally down to earth . . . He is also someone who asks a lot of questions and is actually interested in what you have to say."5. Dolly Parton: "Can confirm that she's just as great as you'd assume. She was just so nice to everyone. She was a lot smaller than I expected."Here are five of the WORST:1. Jennifer Lopez: "She was super rude and dismissive . . . and had this attitude that she was better than you."2. Jenna Fischer from "The Office": "[She] was really difficult to work with. Just really demanding."3. Jared Leto: "[He's] a narcissistic [A-hole]. He complains about every single thing and really enjoys being difficult. I think he does it for fun."4. Diana Ross: "[She] cut in front of me at the airport check-in counter once . . . I was flabbergasted by this lady who had the guts to sweep in front of us AND touch the gate agent's computer."5. John Cusack: "Outside of a restaurant: 'Hey, Mr. Cusack, I like your movies.' . . . 'I don't care.'"AND THAT IS YOUR CRAP ON CELEBRITIES! Sydney Sweeney drops lingerie line, Andy Dick out of rehab, Real World Puck resurfaces, Bill Burr's flailing podcast, more Blake Lively v. Some people are saying Me-Me-Meghan Markle faked her pregnancies. Minneapolis is a mess. We were just wondering what David ‘Puck' Rainey was up to recently. He's turned up and is a TikTok “Chef” now. We watch Puck's highlights from The Real World: San Francisco. The Beckham family are at it again and we're all sick of it. Harry Styles is still cranking out new music. You'll have to shell out $1,000 to see him live though. Neil Young is not happy with Amazon. He's gifting his music catalog to Greenland. Anyone actually going to watch Melania Trump's movie? Ludacris, Morgan Wade and Carter Faith bailed on Kid Rock's tour. Sydney Sweeney has a new lingerie line out. She's in trouble for a bra-stunt on the Hollywood sign. Bill Burr's podcast is becoming laughable. Not necessarily funny, but laughable. The mainstream media doesn't seem to be all in on the Blake Lively/Justin Baldoni beef like Drew. Taylor Swift feels totally violated by the whole thing. Corey Feldman performed at the NAMM Jam Night and we're here for it. Kanye West has a new album coming out… which is probably why he's so sorry to the Jews. Dirty Dancing is dumping a sequel on us. The family of Neil Diamond impersonator Mike Sardina aren't too happy with Kate Hudson's Oscar nomination. Erik Martindale will NOT treat MAGA patients. This week on Toilet Radio: we're talking about ROCK THE COUNTRY, a festival for the oft-forgotten middle-American bourgeoises. Kid Rock is coming to YOUR backwater village and YES, this IS a THREAT. He’ll be bringing along Aaron Lewis, Nelly, and a whole lotta guys that get in trouble for wearing blackface for Halloween. Speaking of the Staind guy, he’ll be performing solo shows at a BBQ joint in a speed trap near you. If that’s not enough right-wing racial grievance-based music for you, we’re also examining Bras D’Honneur’s “Hate Speech”, a new project from Drudkh and Hate Forest members who are currently hiding in France instead of fighting for their homeland. Finally, we found a new Gaming Chair American that talks at a camera. This time it’s goth! Wow! Folks, it’s a good one. Music featured on this ‘sode: Møl – Young This program is available on Spotify. MUSICThousands of people turned out for Bob Weir's memorial at the Civic Center Plaza in San Francisco on Saturday. Speakers included Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart, Joan Baez, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, and San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie.Poison's 40th Anniversary Tour is Off: Bret Michaels Wanted a Huge PaydayBad news for hair metal fans hoping to see Poison celebrate their big 4-0 this year: the tour has been scrapped. The band had been teasing a 40th-anniversary reunion for 2026, with frontman Bret Michaels previously hyping up a "perfect" 40-date run. But according to drummer Rikki Rockett, the plans fell apart at the negotiating table. The sticking point? Money. Rockett revealed that while he, guitarist C.C. DeVille, and bassist Bobby Dall were all ready to sign, Michaels demanded a much bigger slice of the pie. Specifically, Rockett claims Michaels wanted about 600% more than the rest of the band—essentially $6 for every $1 the others would make."You just can't work that way," Rockett said. He explained that while he loves playing, he doesn't want to work hard just to make someone else rich while he gets a fraction of the pay.Is there bad blood? Surprisingly, Rockett says no. He compared the situation to family, saying, "It's like hating your parents." He insists he isn't fighting with Michaels, they just couldn't agree on the business side of things. When asked if the band would consider touring with a replacement singer, Rockett shut it down, calling that a "last resort" and insisting there is no better frontman for Poison than Michaels. What now? For now, everyone is doing their own thing. Michaels has solo dates booked for 2026, and Rockett is touring with his side project, Rockett Mafia.Rockett did joke that maybe they'll try again next year, saying it would be a "perfect Poison folly" to do a 41st-anniversary tour instead.
