What happens when a multimedia entrepreneur and a concert venue owner sit down for a live podcast? A good conversation – with a couple beers – about creativity, grit, and what it really takes to build something that lasts. In the first live episode of the year, recorded at The Argo in Milwaukee as part of Manufacturing Happy Hour's 10-year anniversary, host Chris Luecke sits down with two longtime friends: Andrew J. Coate, co-founder of The Argo (a 700-capacity venue his team transformed from a historic 1950s cinema in under seven months), and Michael O'Sullivan, Creative Director at Motivation Media. Together they dig into the creative process, building businesses from the ground up, co-founder dynamics, and the long-term friendships that shape your best work. Later in the episode, manufacturing veterans and friends of the show, Kyle Mahan (Former Vice President and General Manager of the Automation Division at Wauseon Machine) and Bill Berrien (CEO at Pela Global Precision) join the stage to bring it all back to the shop floor. In this episode, find out: How Michael O'Sullivan and Andrew J. Coate have known each other since high school on the south side of Chicago, and how their paths kept crossing through business and creativity over more than two decadesWhat it means to build a creative business in industries you wouldn't expect, and why B2B and manufacturing are some of the most exciting places to be creativeTurning creativity into a daily habit. Why practice, not talent, is the real shortcut, and how both guests built their creative muscles over timeHow constraints drive better creative decisions, and why that's one of the most transferable lessons to the manufacturing floorThe “done is better than perfect” mindset: balancing flexibility with process discipline when you're building something newWhat the manufacturing industry looks like from behind a camera lens, and why storytelling is one of the industry's most underused assetsHow Kyle Mahan (EP235) and Bill Berrien (EP160 & EP268) would apply the night's creative lessons directly to industrial sectorEnjoying the show? One of the most common things parents hear about their child's development is "let's just wait and see—they'll grow out of it." This is not only misleading, it can be dangerous. In Episode 364 of The Prime Podcast, Dr. Skip Wyss and Dr. Julie Wyss break down the truth about childhood development and why the "wait and see" approach is failing families. Using current guidelines from the CDC, we expose major gaps in developmental standards—specifically the removal of one of the most critical stages: crawling. Development is not random. It is a neurological, step-by-step sequence that must occur in the correct order. When steps are skipped or delayed, it creates long-term consequences in motor function, brain development, and overall health. Dr. Skip explains how missing milestones like crawling can lead to issues such as pelvic floor dysfunction, poor posture, neurological delays, and even long-term challenges like ADHD and developmental disorders. We also discuss how current healthcare systems overlook these early warning signs and why early intervention matters more than ever. In This Episode You Will Learn: Childhood Development Truth: Why development is brain-based and must follow a specific sequence. The "Wait and See" Problem: Why delaying action can lead to long-term neurological issues. Missing Milestones: How skipping steps like rolling, sitting, and crawling impacts future development. Crawling Matters: Why crawling is essential for brain communication and has been removed from CDC guidelines. Primitive Reflexes: What they are, why they must integrate, and what happens if they don't. Motor vs. Language Development: Why your child should walk before they talk—and what it means if they don't. Long-Term Effects: How early developmental delays can lead to posture issues, pelvic dysfunction, and neurological challenges later in life. Originally aired 2/14/25: Mary welcomes back Paul Scharf of Friends of Israel Ministry, an organization with over 87 years of support for Israel. On this Valentine’s Day, we talk about loving the things God loves with an everlasting love: Israel. What are some of the Scriptural points that tell us the what and why of God’s care for Israel? Do we ever stop to realize all the ways God has blessed all nations through them, these “People of the Book”? Why does this even matter, and why do many churches not share God’s heart for her, even though as new creatures we should have that love for Israel? We talk about dispensationalism, Gaza, Trump, hostages, Zionism, and more.  Paul is a church ministries representative for Friends of Israel based in Columbus, WI, and serving in the Midwest. He speaks regularly about Israel, Bible prophecy and many other topics in churches and Bible conferences all across the Midwest and around the country.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Hej, w najnowszym odcinku serii Powojnie wracam do epizodu zapomnianego w polskiej historiografii.

Katelyn Stauffer, Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Georgia, has an excellent new book focusing on how voters and citizens perceive the legitimacy and functionality of political institutions, especially when they think there are women elected to those institutions. The Politics of Perception: How Beliefs About Women's Inclusion Shape Democratic Legitimacy in the United States (Oxford UP, 2025) weaves together a number of different threads to reach some interesting conclusions about women in elected office and the trust that voters have in those elected offices and institutions. Stauffer starts the research trajectory with a framing around representation, and how the different kinds of representation within elected bodies connects to how voters think about those bodies themselves and whether they trust them and think they are effective. This opens the path to bring in the question of gender, and how voters' or citizens' perceptions of how many women are in legislative bodies also connects with how much trust those same citizens have in those representative bodies. The Politics of Perception explores both accurate perceptions as well as misperceptions about governmental institutions, and this is also where the research is truly fascinating. Part of what the research indicates is that, perhaps unsurprisingly, the American public does not actually know a lot about politics or about how political institutions operate. At the same time, many citizens hold strong opinions or thoughts about politics, which generally are at odds with the lack of knowledge. This is also bound up with stereotypes that voters consider in terms of male and female elected officials and how they work within institutions. The Politics of Perception interrogates all of these misperceptions, unpacking the truth or reality versus the ideas that individuals hold about office holders and the political institutions in which those office holders work. Stauffer also discussed how she was able to build on a comparative politics approach, since parliamentary systems are, by their nature, collective institutions, and this approach helped to provide another theoretical framework for the analysis. The Politics of Perception: How Beliefs About Women's Inclusion Shape Democratic Legitimacy in the U.S. is an important and useful book for many different scholars: those who study American government and politics; scholars of gender and politics, especially in the United States; comparative political scientists; and political theorists exploring issues of representation and democracy. Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Our shout-out today goes to Greg Burger from Eau Claire, WI. Thanks for your partnership in Project23. We cannot do this without donors like you. Our text today is 1 Corinthians 8:9. But take care that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak. — 1 Corinthians 8:9 Paul's warning is short—but it's severe. Freedom, when exercised without love, leaves casualties behind. Paul does not accuse the Corinthians of rebellion. He does not question their theology. He does not deny their rights. Instead, he issues a sober command: "Take care." Why? Because freedom is never isolated. Every action has a witness. Every choice has influence. Every liberty has a trajectory. A stumbling block is not accidental. It is something placed in another person's path. And Paul holds believers responsible not only for what they believe—but for what their actions make possible in others. When believers publicly participate in what Scripture clearly forbids—or casually normalize what God calls sin—they may feel free, informed, or mature. But the watching believer receives a different message. They do not hear nuance. They see permission. A believer fighting sexual temptation watches Christians celebrate sexuality Scripture rejects. A believer struggling toward sobriety watches Christians boast about drinking in excess. A believer learning obedience watches Christians dismiss spiritual conviction as legalism. And their faith stumbles—not because truth failed—but because freedom was flaunted wrongly. Paul's point is blunt: your freedom does not end with you. It either strengthens faith or weakens it in others. It either clears the path or clutters it for others. This is not a call to fear every decision we make in front of others. It is a call to love them wherever they may be in their walk with the Lord. Spiritual maturity is not proven by how much freedom you can exercise, but by how much you are willing to surrender for the sake of another's faith. Christ did not insist on his rights. He laid them down. And those who follow him must ask the harder and introspective question—"Who might fall because of what they hear me say or do?" DO THIS: Identify one freedom you regularly exercise and honestly evaluate whether it could become a stumbling block to someone else. ASK THIS: Who might be watching my choices more closely than I realize? Where could my freedom unintentionally weaken another believer's conscience? What would it look like to limit liberty for love's sake? PRAY THIS: Lord, teach me to see beyond myself. Give me a heart that values another's faith more than my own freedoms. Shape my life to reflect your sacrificial love. Amen. PLAY THIS: "I Surrender"

In Jesus' parable of the sower, the enemy is like the birds looking to snatch away the seed. If the word is just sitting on the surface, it can easily be taken. But when it is received deeply and firmly held in the heart, it takes root and the birds cannot reach it.Join us as we learn what it means to keep the garden of the heart and live in an active relationship with God.This message is part of a series called "Kept", where we are talking about how God wants to keep us from evil, for good.Love Church is a Christian Church community based in Menomonie, WI with a desire to experience & express the love of God. Our first storyteller is Rad Wilkins, who as a wildlife biologist embraced the title of “poop ologist” and carried a pungent, fermented concoction called “the brew” into the backcountry to entice grizzly bears. When the love of his life came to visit his remote camp, he had to quickly learn the true rules of bear country before a romantic proposal turned into a terrifying, close encounter in a story that he calls “Wild Proposals”. Rad Watkins is a lifelong nature lover and conservationist based in Missoula, Montana. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Missoula Conservation District, where he helps lead efforts to protect local streams, wildlife, and working lands. His career has taken him from the old-growth forests of the Pacific Northwest studying endangered seabirds, to Glacier National Park collecting grizzly bear DNA, to the Northwoods of Wisconsin tracking wolves and rehabbing bald eagles. Rad also loves personal development, and he's a certified life coach who does some leadership speaking and training. At home, he, his wife Gretchen, and their kids, Lena and Norris, enjoy doing what Montanans do best: floating rivers, skiing, hiking, and spending time outdoors with their dogs and horses. You can find Rad on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. In our next story, Bridget Feerick flies thousands of miles to Peru and connects with a mysterious, motorcycling solo traveler. With a language barrier, a gut feeling, and a wild invitation to ride with him to Canada, she must decide if taking a leap of faith is worth the risk of a true-life adventure. Bridget calls her story “My Gut Says WHAT!?…and it was Awesome!” Thanks for listening. Bridget Feerick started her journey on this planet being born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. She traveled the world before making her home in Missoula, Montana and has continued to explore this country and the world beyond. Her passion for the outdoors is matched by a deep commitment to community engagement and social justice. Bridget holds people in transitions using her intuitive powers as an organizer, cleaner, birth/postpartum/death doula, yoga instructor, herbalist, reiki and sound healing practitioner, and so on and so forth. Oh, and she likes to get weird whether it’s through her performance art pieces or just trying to be free in a world with too many boxes. She hopes to empower and inspire as many people as she can to tap into their own intuitive powers. Trying to escape the dark Missoula winter, a staycation house-sitting gig promises a hot tub and mountain views for Marc Moss, and instead, delivers freezing temperatures and the demanding care of a dog, a cat, and eleven chickens. What starts as a simple favor quickly turns into a crisis when a frantic call from Chile reveals an unfortunate fire and a scramble to rehouse the traumatized poultry. Marc calls his story “The Girls”. Marc Moss founded Tell Us Something in 2011 and lives with his life partner, Joyce, and their perpetual kitten, Ziggy on Missoula's historic Northside. While trekking deep into the Bob Marshall Wilderness to photograph the monumental Chinese Wall, Brian Christianson finally slows down to appreciate the remote mountain solitude with his partner. When a tiny movement catches their eye, they hold their breath for what could be the wildlife encounter of a lifetime. Brian calls his story “Ridge Lessons”. Brian Christianson's love for mountains began on the pages of books while growing up in Southern Minnesota. A family trip to Colorado at age 10 confirmed the future: mountains or bust. He proceeded to study photography and geography at the University of Colorado before moving to Montana in 2008. Brian works as a nature photographer with a curiosity for wilderness in Western Montana. He shares a life with his wife Linds and cat Roo.

Doc joined us to talk racing thanks to County Materials in Holmen AND Eau Claire! Wendy's is looking for a Chief Tasting Officer & is willing to pay that person $100,000!!! And Taco Bell is going viral for all the wrong reasons after a guy posted a video about their wrappers sticking to his food. Couple of stories about flying: United Airlines is going to start requiring passengers to use headphones, and another airline is apparently only going to clean the "premium seats" on the plane in between flights. Gross. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a Canadian dude in Vegas who stole a flamingo, a claw machine in Missouri that trapped another kid inside, companies that are handing out free nicotine to their employees, a former D.A.R.E. officer who got busted for selling drug while on duty, a warning to restaurants about fake health inspectors, and a couple with some wild names who got busted for drugs & illegal firearms.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
