He invoked his 5th Amendment right not to answer the question on the grounds that it might incriminate him. He was next asked if he supported the peaceful transition of power in the United States of America. Again, he invoked the 5th Amendment. This shocking answer strikes at the heart of our 225 year history of living with the outcomes of free elections. Some candidates running for Congress on November 8, 2022, still embrace Michael Flynn and his willingness to sacrifice our most cherished principle that sustains our constitutional democracy, in order to seize office and power.
