In this final episode of the "Acts" series, Pastor Joel's teaching reveals that, in the book of Acts, when the apostles emphasized the same things Jesus did —namely, the Holy Spirit and the Name of Jesus —it resulted in signs and wonders, which is infallible proof that Jesus is alive.
Somewhere between the Upper Room and the Roman throne, the Church lost the most powerful thing it ever had — His Name.In this brand new series, *Truth Became Tradition*, CJ Garcia exposes how man-made creeds, councils, and religion replaced revelation — and why it's time for this generation to bring the Name of Jesus back to the forefront of the Church.
This week Steve taught Philippians 2:5-13, about the glory of what Jesus has done for us on the cross and that crucifixion and suffering come before resurrection and exaltation. Christ humbled and emptied Himself so we could be filled with the Holy Spirit and work-out our salvation not work-for our salvation.

In Acts 3, Peter used God's gift of healing to allow God to restore a lame man. Fr. Mike reminds us that God gives us gifts so he can be known in the world and all great miracles are attributed to the name of Jesus. Fr. Mike also tells us why our suffering matters, and how God wastes nothing. Today's readings are Acts 3, Romans 4-5, and Proverbs 27:1-3. This episode is about how crafty the enemy can be trying to convince the world that Jesus name has no power and that the name Jesus was created to make us call on satan
Laughter about modern naming quirks fades into a moment that still shakes the world: a beggar at the temple gate hears “In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, walk,” and stands on new legs. From that scene in Acts 3–4, we trace a clear line between miracle, message, and mission—and ask what it means for our streets, workplaces, and families right now.We walk through the text with open eyes and open Bibles. Peter refuses credit and points to the real source of power: the living Christ and the authority of his name. Then comes the bold claim that raises eyebrows and opens hearts—salvation comes through no one else. Exclusive? Yes in source. But the offer could not be more inclusive: everyone who calls on the Lord will be saved. That tension births clarity, not arrogance. It anchors hope for anyone tired of self-help loops and hungry for rescue that reaches both this life and eternity. From there we get practical. If the name of Jesus changes lives, then every name we know needs to encounter it. We talk about praying by name for neighbors, coworkers, and friends, not as a guilt trip but as a way to invite God's power into real relationships. Prayer makes us attentive; attention sparks kindness; kindness opens doors for honest words. You do not need to be an expert evangelist to live this way. You need a list, a habit, and a willing heart. We even share a simple commitment: write a few first names, pray daily through year's end, and look for God's timing. Along the way you'll hear stories that build courage and ideas your church can use—from easy-invite events to simple, clear gospel moments that respect people and point to Jesus.Join us as we rediscover why the earliest Christians could face pressure with joy: they weren't selling a brand, they were bearing a name that still heals, saves, and sends.Video available at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_VP63VZs1s

Pastor Charles Choe preaches on I Believe in the Name of Jesus from Acts 4:1-22
With everything that's happened in our country and world over the last few weeks, many of us have been online more than ever. In light of that reality, we should be taking an inventory of who we're following, because the voices we're choosing to consume matter—maybe more than we even realize. On today's episode, I want to call us out as believers: who we follow online, the pastors we listen to, and even the music we put on in our cars has an effect on us. Not everyone who shares a Bible verse or even calls themselves a Christian is living a Gospel-centered, godly life. Our culture, and at times the church, can get so caught up in platform and influence, but are the people we're following actually speaking truth, or simply sharing something to make us feel good? Let's measure who we follow not by charisma, but by character—not by the words they share, but by the fruit of their lives. And in our own circles of influence, let's challenge ourselves to do the same.

In this sermon Tony takes the statement that Peter speaks when he heals the lame man, “in the name of Jesus Christ” and shows us the depth of meaning in that phrase. It is so much more than just a way to end your prayers, it should be the theme of the Christian's life.

Our hearts are so tender after the last two weeks and yours probably is, too. We recently spoke at the "Rooted and Rising" event with our dear friend Susannah Lewis and loved being with those precious ladies (it was so fun seeing several of our listeners there!) In this episode, we continue that conversation including what the Lord is teaching us and what we are constantly being convicted of. As always, we hope that with each and every episode, you will find us talking about Jesus while also learning, being challenged, and growing together while loving and laughing about what makes up our everyday lives. We are so thankful Jesus is right there with us in the middle of it all. Watch "Rooted and Rising" on Facebook here Each episode is recorded on the campus of Union University! You'll never expect what's coming!”—Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat (Tel Aviv, Israel)Golgotha, the Place of the Skull, depicts one of the most iconic images known to humanity: three crosses on a hill. Spiked to the middle cross was Yeshua/Jesus, the divine offer of Heaven's salvation. After years of meticulously poring over the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures, Author Carl Gallups is leading readers on a unique pilgrimage to Golgotha, tracking a supernatural and almost DNA-like encoding of that quintessential image throughout the Bible. Astonishingly, likenesses of Golgotha are visible from the beginning words of Genesis to some of the last words of Revelation—and in just the right places.Written, in part, in Gallups' trademark, immersive-narrative style, Golgotha's Groaning is unlike any of his other works as far as the degree of its explosive content and exciting disclosures. Connected to key biblical passages are more than eighty illustrations, allowing readers to see for themselves these newly revealed truths.Carl Gallups has dedicated himself to his research with the same kind of intensity he poured into his previous law enforcement/investigation career, as well as with the wisdom he's garnered after many decades of contextually studying, teaching, and preaching God's Word.In Golgotha's Groaning, you will …In the first few chapters, through the theater of your mind, join Yeshua and His disciples at their last Passover meal.
