Elizabeth Sankey & Anne T Donahue discuss a new TV pilot every episode.
Elizabeth Sankey & Anne T Donahue
Greetings to Dr. Watson and Sherlock Holmes, as our podcast pays a visit to Baker Street to find out exactly what's up with these two. There's some discussion of what Anne thinks British men are like, and we try and work out once and for all whether Sherlock is a psychopath. Also BEWARE, contains spoilers. Julia Louis Dreyfus, the absolute QUEEN. Anne and I love this show very much. It's inspiring, hilarious, and all about people working hard in a hard world. Holla if you love it too, and if you also wish you had Tony Hale AKA Gary as your bag man. You can stream it below: Your browser does not support the audio element. Or you can download it here, OR we are also on iTunes! You can get all that iTunes goodness here.
GUYS OUR PODCAST IS BACK. This time Anne and I talked in depth about whether or not Sandy Cohen is hot, where did Ryan get all his vests from? and if it's OK if I name a boat after Anne. Man, it feels so good to be back in Orange County again. You can stream it below: Your browser does not support the audio element. Or you can download it here, OR we are now on iTunes! Lauren Conrad. We love her. You love her? You should love her. This time Anne and I talked a lot about those early days when Lauren had very blonde hair, very Jason-esque dating tendencies, and whether or not Heidi could have been "saved". It was a lot of fun. Also it's our tenth episode! We deserve cake, or a Chanel bag. You can stream it below: Your browser does not support the audio element. Or you can download it here, OR we are now on iTunes! A show that has become a bastion of British TV, Made In Chelsea uncovers the world of the rich -and mostly white - 20 somethings that populate this particular area of London. OR DOES IT? This is what Anne and I discussed in this weeks Pilots Podcast. Also I say several times that Ms. Dunlop is related to the Dunlop rubber family and now I don't actually know if that's true and I feel a bit weird about it. But I left it in because this is REAL TALK. #realtalkYou can stream it below: Your browser does not support the audio element. Or you can download it here, OR we are now on iTunes! It's the turn of the Upper East Side this week as Anne and I discussed scarves, texting, posh underwear, and the complete bizarre-ness that is the Gossip Girl pilot. You can stream it below.... This week Anne and I watched the pilot of that seminal TV hit The Wire. Neither of us have watched the show properly so we probably will really offend loads of Stringer Bell/Jimmy McNulty uberfans with our weird thoughts and uniformed opinions. Yay! Here is the second episode of the podcast I'm doing with my pen pal Anne T. Donahue. This time we watched the pilot of Sex And The City and then talked about it, and good lord what a bizarre pilot it turned out to be! You can download the podcast or stream it below, and I promise we're sorting out that iTunes business. MANOLO BLAHNIKS.
OK so this time Anne and I had a lot of feelings (should that be #feelings?) about the writer of the show rather than the show itself. We also talked about dating and kissing and working at a jean store. If you want to know more, press play.
Here is the fourth episode of my podcast with the amazing Anne T. Donahue in which we watch a pilot separately, then talk about it together. This time it was the turn of the brilliant Andy Samberg vehicle Brooklyn Nine Nine. Seriously guys, if you're not watching this, you're missing out, and other TV cliches. We also discussed Harry Potter in quite a lot of detail, far more than you would consider appropriate for a podcast about a TV show set in New York.
Anne and I had a LOT to say about Dawson's Creek. Namely how beige Dawson's outfits are. And how they all use a lot of long words which nobody in real life ever uses unless they're reading their dissertation aloud to their mum. In other news, how photoshopped is this press photo (below) of the gang?! And why is Jen/Michelle Williams wearing a bandage on her foot? These thoughts and more in the podcast which you can download or stream below.
OK so my pen pal Anne T. Donahue and I have started a podcast. In this podcast we will both watch a pilot of a TV show separately (she lives in Canada, I live in England, we've never actually met) and then join together via Skype to discuss our thoughts and feelings. The first pilot we picked was Friends, and it was a LOT of fun to talk about. The results are available for streaming and download below. We're planning on doing a lot of pilots (maybe all of them, ever?!) so if you have any suggestions, and I mean ANYTHING, please put it in the comments. Also, this is our first try so I promise we're going to get better and better and I will try and be as funny and smart as Anne. She's my hero so I was a bit overwhelmed.
This time Anne and I watched and then talked about the pilot of Girls, and who would have guessed it would be the show that divided us more than any other so far? But then that's the great thing about great TV - the conversations. Even if the conversations ruin friendships, marriages and even podcasts (our one didn't do any of those things, but can you blame a girl for trying to create some drama? Speaking of drama, we need to do The Hills). Anyway, listen to us argue over Adam below.
