Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Actors Darren Hartman, TJ Ramini and Marlon Via Spurs Kings TV as Erling Haaland's 20th Premier League goal of the season took Man City to a 1-0 win at Tottenham and back into the top four. The Norwegian turned home from close range from Jeremy Doku's cross 12 minutes in and that proved to be enough - although he also saw a stoppage-time strike in the second half scrubbed off for a handball given by ref Jarred Gillet. That could have been a controversial moment, with it unclear whether the ball did actually hit the striker's arm during a challenge from Kevin Danso and VAR unable to conclusively overturn the call - but Pape Sarr headed over his glorious chance at the other end in the final seconds. #purescience In December last year, scientists discovered an object barrelling toward Earth. The ‘city killer' Asteroid 2024 YR4 now has only a 1.5% chance of hitting the Earth as opposed to 3.1%, as per the latest prediction by the US space agency, NASA. The space agency said the 3.1% probability, or a 1-in-32 chance of hitting the Earth, was the highest odds yet for an asteroid this size.

Today on the Logan Blackman Show we recap each and every game from the divisional round in the NFL Playoffs, starting off with the 'City of Losers' knocking off the Baltimore Ravens by a score of 27-25. We go over everything that happened throughout the game as well as making sure the national media has or hasn't moved the goalposts once again when it comes to Josh Allen and the Bills. We then take a look at the Chiefs 23-14 win over the Texans, discussing Houston's struggles through the game, whether or not the game was 'rigged,' and if Kansas City is truly more unlikeable than the New England Patriots. We also go over the Commanders win against the Lions and the Eagle victory over the Rams before recapping the 2025 National Championship game that saw Ohio State come out on top against Notre Dame by a score of 34-23. With that we credit the Irish for making a valiant comeback as well as dish out some flowers to the likes of Ryan Day and Will Howard. Finally, with both National Championship starting quarterbacks being transfers, we go through and rank each of the top transfer quarterbacks from this past offseason. Enjoy!

"This short 17 page updated booklet, is a spin-off from Bunyan's "Pilgrim's Progress". It is an allegory depicting the radical distinction between "the broadness of contemporary Christianity", and "the narrowness of Biblical Christianity". The vast majority of professing Christians have abandoned the Bible's demanding lifestyle of the narrow way, which alone leads to eternal life. A socially fashionable brand of 'easy religion' now masquerades as biblical Christianity."Hawthorne's dream carries him off to Bunyan's 'City of Destruction' where to his surprise, he is told that a RAILROAD has recently been built from the 'City of Destruction' to the 'Celestial City'. Sadly, this railroad never arrives at its promised destination."You will find it helpful to LISTEN to the Audio, as you READ the text here: https://www.gracegems.org/SERMONS2/celestial_railroad.htmProfessionally read by Christopher Glyn(https://www.chrisglyn.net/#)

The City Council held a six-hour hearing this week, questioning city officials about Mayor Adams' "City of Yes" housing plan. The mayor wants to change zoning codes to allow for more housing, but critics say the plan would destroy the character of their neighborhoods and put pressure on infrastructure that is already crumbling. NY1 investigative reporter Courtney Gross and political reporters Bobby Cuza and Kelly Mena discuss the proposal, as well as the reactions from local communities. After that, Spectrum News hosted the only debate this year between the two major candidates in New York's U.S. Senate race. Democratic incumbent Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and Republican challenger Mike Sapraicone sparred on stage at the University at Albany. The debate tackled hot topics, including immigration, crime and the economy. Merriam-Webster's Word of the Day for March 28, 2024 is: flout FLOUT verb To flout something, such as a law or rule, is to treat it with contemptuous disregard. A teenager flouting a curfew, for example, will not hide the fact that they are out past the time they are required to be home. // The court found that the company had continued to flout the law despite multiple warnings. See the entry > Examples: "Bringing a queer sensibility and a deep understanding of Modern Orthodox Jewish tradition to novel writing, [Temim] Fruchter asks whether finding comfort in mystery is a viable alternative to standard happy endings or bleak fates. 'City of Laughter' argues that flouting convention makes space for more authentic, expansive stories and more authentic, expansive lives." — Lauren LeBlanc, The New York Times, 13 Jan. 2024 Did you know? If you flout a rule or societal norm, you ignore it without hiding what you're doing, or showing fear or shame; you flout it "out" in the open. The similar-sounding word flaunt is sometimes used in the same way, though that word's older and more common meaning is "to display ostentatiously," as in "people who flaunt their wealth." Critics have been objecting to the confusion of these two words since the early 1900s, but use of flaunt with the meaning "to treat with contemptuous disregard" is found in even polished, edited writing, and so that meaning is included in dictionaries as an established use of the word. Nonetheless, you may want to avoid it: there are still many who judge harshly those who (they feel) are flouting proper English usage.

'City of Madrid. Tammie Teclemariam, the Underground Gourmet columnist at Grub Street/New York Magazine, wrote about the phenomenon last year in an article called "9 P.M. Is the New Midnight." She joins us, along with callers, to explore how our social clocks have changed over the past few years. *This segment is guest-hosted by Arun Venugopal
