Mia Freedman is in full-on producer mode at the moment with the launch of her shiny new project Unleashed. Today, however, she’s back in the hosting chair on Mamamia Out Loud as she spills to Jessie Stephens and Em Vernem what this producer gig malarkey is all about. Outlouders, trust us, you’re going to eat this up. And, do you matter? Are you essential or just... existing? Mia, Jessie, and Em unpack the 'mattering' movement and why it’s taking over from 'let them'. Plus, hotel bathrooms. Something’s changed, and it’s making us feel most exposed. The hosts dig into this trend and why some things — even with your partner — are better left private. Also, Valentine’s Day = loneliest day for singles? Em begs to differ. There’s actually a worse one, and she’s explaining why. Aaaand did we mention that hair tinsel is back? Naturally, Mia is fully here for it. Welcome to the world of disco hair. It's a fun hotline episode with Sex and the City impressions, dating long distance advice, and knowing that marriage isn't for you! Matchmaker Maria is joined by hilarious stand up comedian Anna Roisman for a hotline episode packed with dating advice, love, and real-life dilemmas. Maria even gets to hear Anna's spot-on Steve from Sex and the City impersonation as they break down relationships, commitment, and modern dating expectations. Callers ask tough, emotional questions, including whether long-distance dating can work when you barely know someone, how to rebuild confidence and flirt again, and how to navigate a relationship after cancer treatment and infertility. Maria and Anna also play a voicemail from a listener dating after the death of a spouse at 50, and what starting over can really look like. With expert matchmaker insight and comedian honesty, this episode delivers practical advice, empathy, and laughs for anyone dating through uncertainty, loss, or big life changes. Be sure to use the promo code: roundtable50 to join Maria's community or submit your own dating question!

Episode 86 marks the long‑awaited return of the She Said It First Podcast after a much‑needed hiatus, with Jerrilyn and Lynee’ diving immediately back into their signature blend of humor, honesty, and cultural commentary. The two open by catching up on life, reflecting on mental and physical health, and laughing about the level of restraint it takes not to say everything on your mind. From there, they shift into a fiery discussion on recent political and social issues—especially the impact of ICE, the failures of elected officials, and the emotional exhaustion of watching injustice unfold. Their chemistry is undeniable, and listeners can feel how much they missed each other as they bounce between venting, affirming, and cracking each other up. The conversation then pivots to pop culture, with the hosts giving their unfiltered thoughts on Kanye West’s public apology, accountability, and how mental health is often weaponized instead of genuinely addressed. They weave in commentary on relationships, gender expectations, and personal growth—sharing both comedic takes and deeply vulnerable insights. As always, their storytelling is raw, real, and laced with relatable tangents, from dog mom life to TV obsessions like Sinners and Sex and the City. By the time they wrap up, the episode feels like a release—full of laughter, righteous frustration, and heartfelt reminders to protect your peace, choose your circle wisely, and value the people who truly support you. Episode 86 is a perfect comeback: grounded, chaotic in the best way, and packed with the kind of candid conversation only Jerrilyn and Lynee’ can deliver. This is a big, huge, revealing talk with Chris Noth. Chris is an actor. He played Detective Mike Logan on Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Peter Florrick on The Good Wife, and William Bishop on The Equalizer. He was nominated for Golden Globe awards for Sex and the City and for The Good Wife. He's best known as Mr. Big in the HBO series Sex and the City, the Sex and the City movies that came later, and (spoiler alert) one episode of the follow-up series And Just Like That. Mr. Big, of course, was the, well, let's just call him the somewhat unattainable love interest of the main character, Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker. In case you're not aware, there's been a lot of, I guess we can call it, drama, surrounding Sex & the City. There have been rumors of tension between SJP and Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha, and there's been a bunch of criticism surrounding some of the characters and plotlines in the original series and the reboot, And Just Like That. But the biggest drama is surrounding Chris Noth. In 2021, there were several sexual assault allegations against Chris published in THR and The Daily Beast. He was never criminally charged and said at the time that it wasn't true, but there was an immediate impact. He was written off The Equalizer, for starters. Soon after, Sarah Jessica Parker and her SATC castmates, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, put out a public statement about the situation. I read it to you so you know exactly what we're talking about when Chris and I get into this. OK, so. After that, his lawyers told him to not say anything. So he stopped talking publicly. Behind the scenes, a lot more was going on. And you're about to hear about all of it. Emily Blumenthal, known as the "Handbag Fairy Godmother," is the author of Handbag Designer 101, a comprehensive guide for aspiring designers. She also founded the Independent Handbag Designer Awards to spotlight emerging talent and hosts the Handbag Designer 101 podcast, which showcases the stories behind iconic handbag brands. Emily is a Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Fashion Institute of Technology. In this episode… Many women entrepreneurs struggle with scaling their businesses, often finding themselves stuck between growth and control. They are conditioned to take on too much, fearing delegation might dilute their brand or message. How can female founders shift from managing every detail to building sustainable, scalable businesses? Handbag industry expert and entrepreneur Emily Blumenthal has developed the CASM framework — customer, agony, solution, and monetization — to validate business ideas before investing resources. This methodology, combined with persistence, allowed Emily to land her products on Sex and the City and QVC. She encourages female entrepreneurs to embrace delegation, reframe failure as a stepping stone to success, and develop clear strategies for long-term growth. In today's episode of the Lead Like a Woman Show, Andrea Heuston chats with Emily Blumenthal, the author of Handbag Designer 101, about her entrepreneurial insights. She talks about empowering young girls through early entrepreneurship, the skill sets she leveraged to launch her business, and the origins of the Independent Handbag Designer Awards.
ACOFAE Podcast Presents: Crossroads: "The legendary Ms. Britney Spears." It's hard to describe just how famous Britney Spears was in the early 2000s. Before social media, fame was a different machine and nowhere is that more clear than in Crossroads. Filled with everything ACOFAE loves, Crossroads is especially great at showing female friendships throughout the ups and downs of growing up. Yearning for a third place, Crossroads finds three friends going on a roadtrip to audition for a record label. A time, a place, a vibe. Along the way are shenanigans that bond and little side quests that let the other characters shine. A movie that could only be made when it was, Crossroads shows us a mega star at her peak, marketing at it's peak, and one of the last true girlhood movies of the early 2000's. By the ocean. UnCabaret founder and host, Beth Lapides, talks about creating the show to have a place to perform then how it shifted to a place where she nurtured Taylor Negron, Judy Toll, Patton Oswalt, Margaret Cho, Bob Odenkirk, Janeane Garofalo, and everyone else to be the best performer they could.
