I'll take you through the entire process from the very beginning of registering my business, to getting my first client, to growing the company. Starting out, at least, this will…

Building a team is hard work. But it's necessary work for gaining far-reaching success. A big part of building a team, however, is finding the right mix of people. People who can compliment your skillset. Are you funny find someone who laughs at your jokes? Have the gift of gab? Find an audio engineer to improve how you sound. So ultimately, you have to figure out what you bring to the table and then bring on team members to compliment your expertise. Hope you enjoy the video! Every successful podcast I've worked with has a team. And when I think about it, even the small ones do too. The only difference is how many roles one person has to play. When launching a podcast, most people have very little money to invest into it. So today I'm going to share some resources on how to begin building a team with automation. All week we've been discussing the importance of building endurance. At the end of the day, you have to be able to endure through the low times of your podcast. A co-host that isn't working as hard as you are, a 1 or 2 star review, low download numbers, busy work schedule keeping you from giving more attention to your podcast, etc. But unless you can build some resiliency, you'll never reach the true goal of your podcast. Today we'll be rating "Your Mom's House with Tom Segura and Christina P". My last few reviews on popular comedian podcasts have shown how not to do a podcast. But surprisingly, Your Mom's House does a lot of things right. I've started listening to podcasts circa 2013, personally began podcasting in 2015, and producing them for others since the launch of Podcast On The Go, LLC in 2017. I live and breathe podcasting. So I've created a rating system for podcasts. Podcasts will be rated on 6 criteria, with a total score that will range from 5-150. Low Number = Your Favorite Podcast Sucks High Number = The podonthego SEAL of Approval See the current list of podcast ratings at: https://podonthego.com/ratings/ Don't forget to subscribe to the channel! Today is Podcasting 101 and we're discussing the mindset behind every successful podcast. Finding success in podcasting requires a mindset of endurance. You can't stop. My mom used to say "One monkey don't stop no show." and that's the mentality you have to have before you even launch your show. It should be engrained into your psyche and written at the top of your notepad. The best podcasts keep going despite sickness, catastrophe, a pandemic, and anything barring death or tragedy. And if you want to find success in podcasting (whatever that means to you) you have to keep going too. #keepgoing Don't forget to subscribe to the channel! This week on Analyzing a great podcast we discuss one of my favorite podcasts, Batman the Animated Podcast. Next week I think I'll create a set of criteria on how I rate each podcast so that my analysis is less subjective. But for now...you'll have to take my word for it, BTAP is a well produced, engaging, and fun podcast. If you like batman, you'll love this podcast. This week on Your Favorite Podcast Sucks, we discuss WTF with Marc Maron and why I think it sucks (despite it's success). WTF! Another key to a successful podcast that most people don't talk about: getting into "the zone". If you want to level up your podcast and produce a show that ads to the world, you need to create an atmosphere that allows you to be fully absorbed in the production. In today's show, I'll tell you why that's so important. Book Link: https://amzn.to/3q7jJhq Don't forget to subscribe to the channel! Continuing the series on trust in podcasting, I went to focus on how important improving and evolving as a person is to the success of your podcast. Something that isn't talked about enough in podcasting is TRUST. If you are going to launch and grow a successful podcast, then one thing you should think about from the very beginning is building a strong sense of trust with your audience. How do you do that? That's what we'll discuss on today's podonthego SHOW. All week we've been speaking about monetization and how to make more money from your podcast. That said, there's a big difference between riches and wealth. One of my favorite finance podcasts is YNAB AKA You Need A Budget. I first listened to his podcast back in 2013 and it was the first pod that I binge listened to. I was a real estate agent back then and his strategies for business owners with irregular income help keep me afloat during the "feast or famine" lifestyle of real estate. I've also used his software twice to help "give every dollar a job" in my personal finances. Hopefully my analysis of the YNAB podcast can help you improve your podcast. It's "Free Game Friday"! All week we've discussed tools and tactics for staying consistent. So today, I'll share why it's so important for your podcast, your business, and your relationships. Keeping with our theme this week, I'll be sharing some resources that can help you remain consistent. Podcasting can be a lonely profession where you feel like you're all alone and no one is listening. Especially starting out. So I personally believe that's why a lot of people quit so early. Today we'll discuss resources to hopefully remind you that there are other people like you and that can give you the energy to keep pushing onward! Today I'll be analyzing why I believe "Stuff You Should Know" is a great podcast and how you can learn from their success. One of my favorite books is The E-Myth. It's required reading for every small business owner. And the concept I like the most is the idea of creating processes for your business. And I believe that every podcaster should apply the concept to their podcast...if they want to produce consistent content for years to come. Consistency is our theme this week and it's nigh impossible to keep pushing out content regularly, without the right tools. Here are some that I use everyday. I've been a small business owner for 11 years now. I started my first business right after college in 2009, I've read hundreds of business books, and listened to thousands of hours of business interviews. And this experience has taught me one thing: Having a good attitude is the most important thing in business. Are you a business owner or entrepreneur? What have you learned? But...there's a lot of reasons why it sucks. https://podonthego.com
Today on the podonthego SHOW, we'll discuss a topics for more advanced podcasters: Marketing. Your podcast WILL NOT grow unless you market and advertise it consistently. The question is, do you have enough time to do it effectively on your own? So how do you make it happen? https://podonthego.com
