Episode 4 discusses the basic principles and techniques used in behaviour modification.
Episode 7 examines observational learning by Albert Bandura in detail: its principles, procedures and applications.
Episode 8 discusses cognitive learning in detail: its principles, procedures and applications.
Episode 9 examines the application of basic principles of behaviour modification to psychotherapy and self-control.
Episode 10 concludes the module with discussions on the limits of learning; issues related to research on humans and animals and future trends in behaviour modification.
Episode 1 begins with a discussion on what behaviour is. The historical roots of behaviour modification and characteristics of behaviour modification will also be introduced.
Episode 2 introduces the scientific approaches used to define and measure target behaviour. The differences between scientific and non-scientific approaches will be highlighted. Methods used to measure "learning" will also be discussed.
Episode 3 introduces the different types of learning theories: classical conditioning, operant conditioning and social-cognitive learning theories.
Episode 5 examines classical conditioning by Ivan Pavlov in detail: its principles, procedures and applications.
Episode 6 describes operant conditioning by B F Skinner in detail: its principles, procedures and applications.
