We took a deep dive into how a mutual interest in fashion became the origin of friendship, were we were in life leading up to Kit's accident, and tell each other our individual perspectives, and how life has been very different since the day of the accident. Lack of empathy toward the Black American plight could be attributed to various things. This week's episode dives into what those reasons may be. This conversation was made possible by a long talk with a group of fifth and sixth graders during their last class call during the pandemic. Over the 2+ hour call, "Mr. Baker" was able to enlighten his students on the true American history while also providing a newly immigrated student with a entirely new perspective on the country he couldn't wait to live in.
