It doesn't matter how great your goal and your plan are if you don't take action on them!Today, we kick off a new week (and the first full week of 2026) with the theme of "Take Action"! Last week, we focused on goals and goal setting, which are extremely important. But if you don't take action on the goals and plans you have, who cares what your goals and plans were? The key to your success is going to be the actions that you take to make it happen! You will hear 5 quotes today about this concept. Once again, I am so grateful to all of you who support the podcast! I do this show because of you. While I enjoy the quotes myself, I do this podcast because many of you who are looking for inspiration and impact from these quotes come back and listen to it on a consistent basis. Modern anxiety isn't just emotional. It's chemical — and it's being triggered and sustained by the way we're living, consuming, and overstimulating ourselves every single day. In this powerful, personal episode, Elizabeth pulls back the curtain on what's really happening when we feel anxious for "no reason" — and shares the neurochemical truth about dopamine, oxytocin, cortisol, and inflammation. If you're constantly in your head, overwhelmed, overstimulated, or one step away from panic — this conversation will shift everything. You'll also hear the exact strategy Elizabeth is using to reclaim peace and presence in her everyday life — without deleting her business, becoming a monk, or pretending life isn't loud and full.

Clarity is powerful — but only if you turn it into consistent action. In Part 2 of this Living by Design series (re-released for 2026), Bushy Martin shifts the focus from vision to execution, showing investors how to translate their “big why” into daily habits that actually shape the life they want to live. Last week, we revisited the importance of reconnecting with your core values and defining what an ideal lifestyle looks like. This episode is about what comes next — the doing. Bushy explains how living by design doesn’t require extreme discipline or radical lifestyle changes. Instead, it’s about creating simple, achievable daily habits that evolve into rich rituals — habits that support enjoyment, momentum, and long-term fulfilment, not burnout. This episode is especially relevant for property investors who want their wealth strategy to support life — not compete with it. What you’ll learn in this episode: How to turn vision into practical, everyday action Why “happy habits” matter more than big, dramatic changes How small daily rituals compound into lifestyle freedom Bushy’s simple framework for staying aligned and accountable Take Action 1. A cell tower might just pop up in your neighborhood without hearings or any kind of opportunity for local pushback or comment. This is the likely result of new proposed FCC rules that preempt all state and local authority over the siting, permitting and regulation of cell towers and antennas. To be clear: No objections will be possible regarding the location, size, height, number of antennas, no need to prove there is a need for the antennas, no environmental reviews, no respect for aesthetic impacts, or historic districts, or scenic byways, etc. Towers and antennas will just appear outside one's home, or one's children's schools, without notice, and there will be nothing one can do about it. The proposed rules even say local governments will not be allowed to hire outside experts to measure emissions from the antennas. All this is in the context of the industry's stated plans for greater and greater 'antenna densification' with long-documented harmful radiation emitted by antennas placed every few hundred feet. Guests Camilla Rees and Scott McCollough today explain the importance of taking action today to protect our freedom and our rights. They go over both the harms of emitted radiation and the urgency of the threat we're facing. The deadline for comments on the proposed rules is December 31, 2025. And the deadline for responses to comments is January 15, 2026. Pertinent websites recommended by our guests for ACTION today: 704nomore.org - See the TAKE ACTION tab to make comments on the new proposed FCC rules, as well as on various bills moving through Congress that also seek to enable more wireless and limit local control. Stop 5G.org offers resources and guidance to local communities wishing to resist cell towers. Please become a member of the Weston A. Price Foundation at westonaprice.org and use the code pod10 to join for only $30 for the year.

This is one of our best Episodes of 2025. A few years ago,I had a brilliant idea for a new offer. I mapped it out in detail, brainstormed all the possibilities, and spent weeks refining it. Guess what? I never launched it. I got stuck in the overplanning cycle – tweaking, refining, and second-guessing. Sound familiar? The truth is, overplanning can feel productive, but it's really just a sneaky form of procrastination. And it's keeping you from the success (and revenue) you deserve. That's why in this week's episode of the Breadwinning Business Women podcast, we're tackling: Overcoming Overplanning: Take Action and Achieve Your Goals In this episode, you'll learn: The real reason you keep tweaking and refining instead of taking action (hint: it's not about perfection) A simple decision-making strategy that will get you unstuck—fast Why "imperfect action" is the secret ingredient to scaling your business It's time to step out of your own way and start making moves. Ready? Listen now button And if you're serious about taking action and seeing real results, don't miss my upcoming workshop: How to Achieve More Revenue in 90 Days Than Most Do in a Year Here's what you'll learn: ✨ The Daily Success Routine that's helped thousands of entrepreneurs double their income without working nights and weekends. ✨ Where to focus so every day moves you closer to $20K+ months. ✨ Why traditional time management fails service-based businesses (and what to do instead). It's time to start focusing on the activities that will actually drive growth and revenue, not just the busy work.
In this 20 minute podcast: -The show breaks down renewed claims that Donald Trump could serve a third term, despite the clear language of the 22nd Amendment. -Alan Dershowitz advances controversial legal theories arguing that a president could be “selected,” not elected, and still return to office. -The episode compares U.S. institutions to foreign cases where leaders manipulate courts and legal technicalities to cling to power— and explains why America is different. -The discussion widens to term limits and age limits in Congress, highlighting growing bipartisan frustration and new momentum for an Article V term limits convention. What are you doing in life that will inspire your future grandkids?Today I want to introduce you to Brett, Brett is someone that is writing a story his grandkids will one day sit in awe of as he leans back in his chair to tell them; about the time he swam from Europe to Asia, the time he saw an anaconda deep in the jungle, and the way he pursued his dreams and his relationships with effort and intention.Brett and I chat about our shared fear of flying, how some songs pull us quickly to a place of peace, and how a simultaneous survival plan is always running in the back of his mind. He shares what it means to live a life of freedom, to be a good friend that sees “work” in a relationship as a sign of care and value, and how fear in no way is a reason to pull away from something we know will lead to a better version of ourselves on the other sideHe shares a message I think we all need to hear, how dedication is greater than any natural talent of opportunity, how the choice to show up and keep showing up for the dream you have will lead you further than any bit of luck ever could We chat about what it means to constantly “push” a timeline and how we both resonate and are grateful for a mindset that kept delaying what “made sense”Brett is someone who is making an impact by what he creates, by sharing the reality of his life through his work, sending a clear message that, anything is possible, that you can realize whatever dream or idea you might have, that life is worth pursuing fully and so are the people you get to share it withSo tune in today and meet Brett, a human who has chosen to be a friend, one who continues to inspire others, and one who will remind you to choose presence any chance you can And to you Brett thank you, thank you for being the kind of human that shows up, isn't afraid to put effort forth, for your sincerity and a truly genuine conversation. It is a pleasure to know you and I'm looking forward to many future memories exploring this world with you
This week on Wild Life Outdoors, Russell sits down with Devin O'Dea, Western Policy and Conservation Manager for Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, for one of the most important conversations we have ever released on this podcast. This episode takes a deep dive into the real threats facing America's public lands, from attempts to rescind the Roadless Rule to legislative proposals that could open the door to privatizing or selling off the lands that belong to every American. Devin breaks down exactly what's happening behind the scenes, how certain bills bypass public input, and why hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts need to pay attention right now.Russell and Devin also talk through:• What the Roadless Rule actually protects• Why attempts to rescind it are dangerous for wildlife, watersheds, and recreation• How public land bills get disguised as “affordable housing” or “fire mitigation”• Why bipartisan stewardship is the only real path forward• The role hunters and anglers play in conservation through Pittman-Robertson & Dingell-Johnson• What everyday people can do today to protect public access• Why public lands are part of every American's inheritanceThey also swap stories about learning to hunt, navigating difficult terrain, clean water issues, wildlife fragmentation, and even some unexpected wild-game culinary adventures (yes, crow and coyote recipes come up).If you hunt, fish, hike, camp, or simply care about the natural spaces that define this country, you cannot miss this episode. Hey friends, I want to talk about something big. Change the actual world big, because the world won't unfuck itself, as we all know. We are joining podcasts across the planet for Pods Fight Poverty, a campaign directly supporting our good friends at Give Directly. Now, if you've been with us since episode 116, which feels like a thousand years ago, you'll remember when we asked one of the most deceptively simple, world altering questions ever. Why is just giving people money the most effective way to help them change their lives and maybe even end global poverty altogether? To crack that open I had Caroline Teti and Michael Faye on the show, two people who've spent years with Give Directly, knee deep in data and logistics and lived experience, my favorite combination of things, and guess what the answer turned out to be? People are the experts on their own lives. You are. So why aren't they? Different people need different things on different days. So if you want them to get exactly what they need, you give them the resources to choose cash directly, and that's what Give Directly does.No middlemen, no guessing, just trusting other humans with the dignity and agency we would expect and that they deserve. Yeah, wild idea. It works. It works better than almost anything else we've tried. So here's the part where you come in. None of us can erase global poverty by ourselves. Again, that's our whole tagline. But literally, any one of us can lift one person out of poverty, today, right now. So for Pods Fight Poverty, if you can head to givedirectly.org/important and chip in.That's givedirectly.org/important. And look to take it even further, my wife and I already personally contribute to Give Directly every year, every month actually, which is the best way to support a group like this, by the way.And thousands of you all do too. I'm gonna step it up and will personally match the next $5,000 in donations when you use our link, which again is givedirectly.org/important. So let's do it. And to get you in the spirit, we're gonna revisit our conversation right now with Teti and Michael. It's funny, it's hopeful, it's deeply nerdy, and it'll remind you why this work matters every single day. Thanks as always for giving a shit. -----------Have feedback or questions? How often do we try to fix our health without ever addressing what's happening in our hearts? In today's episode of the Visibly Fit Podcast, I'm sharing a powerful conversation that weaves together faith, forgiveness, identity, and physical healing—because true wellness is never just about food or fitness.I begin with a heartfelt devotional from Written in Heaven: His Story, Our Lives, a 40-day devotional curated by Tamara Battaglia. This beautiful collection showcases stories of unwavering faith and triumph from today's leading female voices in Christian music, ministry, film, and literature. Inside the book, I came across a powerful devotion written by June Hunt, and I read her story aloud in this episode.June's story reminds us that belief isn't just head knowledge. It's trust. It's surrender. And it's allowing God to redefine who we are—especially when our past, old wounds, or rejection try to tell us otherwise.I also talk openly about how unforgiveness, bitterness, and believing lies about ourselves can quietly impact our emotional and physical health. These inner struggles often show up as exhaustion, inflammation, weight resistance, or chronic symptoms. Healing begins when we start aligning our thoughts, our faith, and our actions with truth. Then you'll hear from my dear friend Nicole as she shares her Visibly Fit testimony. Nicole didn't come into the program to lose weight. She came in dealing with severe inflammation and limited mobility. Over seven weeks, she experienced a dramatic reduction in inflammatory markers, gained strength and confidence, nourished her body properly, and learned how to care for herself—without guilt. If you're feeling stuck, inflamed, exhausted, or ready for something different, this episode is for you. Healing is possible, and it starts from the inside out.Chapters:[00:00] Podcast Preview[01:28] Holiday Hustle & Self-Care Check-In[02:39] Written in Heaven by Tamara Battaglia[03:48] Reading June Hunt's Devotional: “But I Didn't Know”[10:53] Forgiveness, Identity & Adoption into God's Family[12:35] How Lies & Old Wounds Impact Our Health[13:55] Why Healing Is a Journey (Not a Quick Fix)[14:42] Underlying Cause of Sickness Nobody Talks About[19:05] Nicole's Visibly Fit Testimony Begins[23:02] Movement for Every Ability Level[25:55] Eating More, Nourishing Better & Letting Go of Guilt[30:23] Community, Faith & Sustainable Lifestyle Change[32:40] Invitation to Take Action & Invest in Your HealthResources mentioned:Written in Heaven: His Story, Our Lives (A 40-Day Devotional)Join My Visibly Fit 7-Week Accelerator ProgramEpisode 101: A Discussion on Forgiveness with June HuntP.S. Are you leaning too much on advice and not enough on action? In this episode, I break down the five essential roles every business owner needs to supercharge their growth—and why relying on friends or familiar faces may be holding you back.Discover how a coach, mentor, advisor, trainer, and consultant each play a pivotal part in your entrepreneurial journey, and get practical strategies to start filling these gaps today. Here are 3 Key Takeaways:1. Know the Difference: Understanding the unique value each role brings—advisor, trainer, consultant, mentor, and coach—can prevent you from missing out on critical support or wasting time with the wrong type of help. Most entrepreneurs over-rely on advice and under-invest in hands-on coaching and actionable training.2. Fill Every Role—Strategically: You might not have all five roles filled at once, but identifying and approaching the right people (outside your close circle) for these positions is key to real progress. Your growth is limited when you expect friends or insiders to give the objective feedback and expertise you need.3. Take Action, Not Just Advice: Too often, we get stuck collecting ideas but never move forward. Chart out your support team, ask the right questions, and take steps to bring in advisors, trainers, consultants, mentors, and coaches who challenge you, nurture your growth, and help you execute, not just plan.Ready to Master Your Mindset, Mission, and Message? If today's episode spoke to you, don't just listen—step behind the curtain and join the Journey Feed. Although Ireland's population is growing, rural areas have been experiencing consistent population loss. But with more than one-third of the country's population living in an area defined as ‘rural' some communities are taking action to keep their towns and villages thriving. Eithne Dodd reports.
The long-awaited Humboldt Regional Climate Action Plan—a multi-jurisdictional strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions—is finally up for approval before the Board of Supervisors. (We say finally because the document, which sets emissions reduction targets for 2030, has been in the works since 2018. Seven years of work for a document with a shelf life of four years.) On this week's show, guests Colin Fiske of the Coalition for Responsible Transportation Priorities (CRTP) and Matt Simmons, Climate Attorney at EPIC, join the show to discuss the merits and demerits of the Climate Action Plan.Interested in more? We're excited to bring back a powerful Money Tales conversation with Cicley Gay. In this encore episode, we revisit Cicley's journey from scarcity to abundance. As the founder of The Amplifiers and now Chair of the Board of Black Lives Matter's Global Network, Cicley's insights into money, mindset, and meaning are as relevant today as ever. Whether it's the bag-lady syndrome or the fear that money will vanish no matter how much we earn, Cicley's story reminds us that personal awareness is the first step toward a healthier financial mindset. As the visionary founder of The Amplifiers, a pioneering social enterprise at the intersection of cause and communications, and Chairwoman of the Board for the Black Lives Matter, Cicley brings a wealth of expertise to the forefront of social justice initiatives. She embarked on her civic service journey by participating in two terms in AmeriCorps, then assumed a pivotal position as the founding director of STAND (Students Take Action for New Directions), where she empowered students by educating them on the ramifications of federal budget allocations on under-resourced communities. Cicley's unwavering dedication to uplifting marginalized communities is shown through her decade-long commitment to catalyzing change at The Women's Sports Foundation. In her roles as the founding director of GoGirlGo! and later as the National Director of Education and Alliances, she tirelessly spearheaded initiatives aimed at expanding access to physical activity for millions of young women in under-resourced areas across the nation. Her passion for mentorship and empowerment further propelled her to serve as the Director of National Initiatives at the National CARES Mentoring Movement, where she played a central role in establishing a multi-million-dollar national mentoring initiative for children, earning the financial support of the U.S. Department of Juvenile Justice. Cicley's impact extends beyond her professional achievements. She has been recognized for her outstanding contributions, receiving accolades such as the President's Volunteer Service Award from the Obama Administration in 2013 and the Catalyst Award from the Global Center for Social Change through Women's Leadership in 2015. Additionally, Cicley is a proud member of the inaugural class of WEI (Women's Entrepreneurship Initiative) and has been honored as one of Georgia's 40 Under 40, awarded a SPANX Red Backpack grant for Women's Entrepreneurship, ATL+ most powerful women in Atlanta in 2024 and 2025 and one of SUCCESS magazine's 50 Women of Impact in 2025. She holds an honorary Doctoral degree from Trinity International University. Her greatest accomplishment was winning “Mom of the Year '' as a mom to three sons. Cicley often says, “I spent decades intentionally preparing my sons for the world, I am now focused on also preparing the world for my sons.” Take Action and Make a Difference Learn how leadership, mentorship, and thoughtful philanthropy can create lasting impact—for yourself, your community, and the world. Hosts: Dr. Ashlee Gethner, LCSW – Child of a Police Officer Jennifer Woosley Saylor, LPCC S – Child of a Police Officer In this episode, Jennifer and Ashlee break down the basics of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy and why it’s a powerful tool, particularly for first responders. Key Topics & Highlights Myth-Busting Therapy: Ashlee and Jennifer tackle common misconceptions about therapy, especially among first responders, who may expect only “talking about feelings” or the classic “comfy couch” setup. What is EMDR?: Explanation of EMDR, how it uses eye movements, tapping, and auditory cues to help the brain naturally process traumatic experiences. Why EMDR is effective?: EMDR mimics REM sleep and helps reconnect mind and body after stress and trauma. Why First Responders Like EMDR: Less talking, more structure, and a focus on physical reactions make it a good fit for those who may be hesitant about traditional therapy. Real-World Therapist Perspective: Jennifer and Ashlee share firsthand experiences, the importance of finding a good fit in therapy, and reassurance that it’s normal to need different approaches. Take Action: Consider researching EMDR from trusted sources. Check out our earlier episode (Brain Insights For High-Stress Lives!) with Dr. Coyt for a deeper look at how the brain processes stress. Final Thoughts: Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. EMDR offers hope and healing, especially for those in high-stress jobs. What if talking about menopause out loud was as normal as talking about sports scores or school pickup? Imagine it in movie plots, in your group chat, at the clinic, and on the campaign trail because when we name what's happening in our bodies, three things can follow: better care, better research, and better policy. Normalizing the conversation around something that's gonna happen to half the population isn't oversharing. It's infrastructure. This is how we're gonna get appointments that move the needle for people. This is how we're gonna get workplace benefits that actually matter and research dollars that finally match the need, especially for those most impacted and least studied. So what can I do to make menopause a public everyday conversation? My guest today is Jennifer Gerson. She's a journalist at the 19th, one of my favorite publications, and the author of their new menopause newsletter. Jennifer blends sharp reporting with practical scripts, and memes, how to talk to your doctor or your partner or your teen or someone in HR, and maybe your elected representatives too, because you know we love that.So that this thing that's been so intensely private and understudied, on purpose, becomes public. And so progress compounds. This one can definitely change the conversation in your home and far, far beyond it.-----------Have feedback or questions? In the 80-year coverup of the UFO mystery, there have been a handful of pivotal moments where public interest in the topic gained enough momentum to threaten the iron-clad, intractable code of silence adopted by military authorities and intelligence agencies. The 1952 overflights of Washington DC, the insider revelations unveiled by Major Donald Keyhoe, the outrage emanating from Project Blue Book's ridiculous “swamp gas” type explanations, and the 2017 New York Times report about secret UFO programs and the Tic Tac incident each inspired demands for truth and transparency. But in each of those and other episodes, public interest eventually waned, in part because of clever cover stories, media manipulation, and debunking efforts by civilian “experts” who willingly espoused the themes crafted by secret keepers within the CIA, US Air Force, and a handful of defense contractors. Right now, as 2025 comes to a close, another opportunity has arrived. A blockbuster film, Age of Disclosure, has broken through the indifference that is common among major news platforms and has grabbed the attention of a broad audience, including members of Congress. At the same time, a dramatic interview with UAP whistleblower David Grusch was broadcast worldwide on the Fox News Network. A new book by Dr. James Lacatski, a career intelligence analyst for the DIA, has revealed the extent of AAWSAP, the acronym for the largest acknowledged UFO investigation ever financed by the US government. Because of these and other factors, at this moment, the UFO topic has grabbed public attention in a way not seen in years. Is this a pivotal moment in the history of the UFO/UAP mystery? And if so, what are the factors that led to this and what might the proponents of disclosure do next to make sure the moment is not another missed opportunity? In this episode, Jeremy and George are joined by three longtime researchers (and observers of UFO World) to get their input about the current state of public momentum for transparency, the impact of the new Age of Disclosure film, how the increased interest among the public and media might influence the Trump Administration to act, and what is likely to happen next. The panelists include Ryan Robbins (known for his insightful commentaries on his YouTube channel “Post Disclosure World”), Danny Silva, former editor of the Silva Record publication, and Joe Murgia, aka UFO Joe, who produces highly detailed reports and interview transcripts on his X account. If the American Revolution was, as Ken Burns put it, the biggest event since the birth of Christ, then there's probably never been a better time to explore and drastically expand on why it happened, who was involved, and what it set us up for than right now. My guest today again is David Schmidt.David is the producer and co-director, along with Ken Burns and Sarah Botstein, of American Revolution, a six-part, 12-hour series premiering on PBS this November. David is a childhood friend, but two decades after he and I played Nintendo in his basement, he began working with Florentine Films as a researcher and apprentice editor, beginning with The Roosevelts in 2014, where he also supervised the documentary's seven-episode script. David's research on the Vietnam War in 2017 won him the Jane Mercer Footage Researcher of the Year Award, and he also worked closely on that project with writer Geoffrey C. Ward and helped coordinate post-production. With Burns, Schmidt also produced the two-part biography Benjamin Franklin in 2022 for PBS. I can't wait for you to hear this discussion. I think it pairs really nicely with our conversation with Clint Smith and can't wait for you to see this piece. -----------Have feedback or questions? I've recorded hundreds of conversations with incredible people working on the front lines of the future. People who've asked the most important question: what can I do? Who found their answer and followed it. But for today's conversation, we're going back to the front lines of the past because the past can tell us a whole hell of a lot about today and how tomorrow might go.But only if we tell the full story of how we got here, about who got us here, about how my great-great-grandparents got here. And how my grandma got here fleeing the Nazis, and how millions of Africans were forcibly brought here, over 35,000 trips across the middle passage over almost 300 years. The full story of the choices we made then, which was not so long ago, and continue to make now about wars and heritage and bondage and family and land and more. And how, if we can break from the stories we've been told and continue to tell ourselves to choose history over nostalgia, to choose facts over memory and infinite disinformation on demand, we can make different choices. My guest today is Clint Smith. Clint is the number one New York Times bestselling author of How the Word Is Passed: A Reckoning With the History of Slavery Across America, he's the winner of the National Book Critic Circle Award for nonfiction, the Hillman Prize for book journalism, the Stowe Prize, the Dayton Literary Peace Prize, and was selected by the New York Times as one of the 10 best books of 2021.And now in 2025, the Young Reader's Edition has just come out and it is wonderful. Clint is also the author two books of poetry, the New York Times bestselling collection Above Ground, as well as Counting Dissent. Both poetry collections were winners of the Literary Award for Best Poetry Book from the Black Caucus of the American Library Association, and both were finalists for NAACP Image Awards.Clint is a staff writer at The Atlantic and he has received fellowships for the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, New America, the Emerson Collective, the Art for Justice Fund, Cave Canum, and the National Science Foundation. His essays, poems, and scholarly writing have been published in The New Yorker, New York Times Magazine, the New Republic, Poetry Magazine, the Paris Review, the Harvard Educational Review, and elsewhere. Clint is a former National Poetry Slam Champion, and the recipient of the Jerome Jay Shestack Prize from the American Poetry Review.-----------Have feedback or questions? On this episode of MaternalRx on the Pharmacy Podcast Network, host Dr. Danielle Raiman Plummer, PharmD, consulting pharmacist, sits down with Mary Kucek, PMP, and Dr. Devin Bustin, MD, co-founders of OvaryIt, creators of the PRISM EHR platform and the OvaryIt Foundation for survivors of domestic abuse and human trafficking. Mary shares her powerful and life-threatening experience with a telemedicine platform that failed to follow contraceptive safety guidelines, an event that changed the course of her career and mission. Together, Mary and Dr. Bustin explain how their NIH-funded research led to the creation of OvaryIt and PRISM: an innovative, pharmacist-centered platform that bridges the safety of in-person care with the accessibility of telehealth. Tune in to hear how retail pharmacists can now lead the next evolution in family planning access, overcoming the barriers to scaling these services, and how technology and policy can empower safer, more equitable reproductive care for all. “Prism will help retail pharmacies become public health access points for central health services.”
