While a bit on the somber note following the tragic news of Kobe Bryant I wanted to dedicate an episode to an individual who directly shaped my career & life. A legend & legacy that'll live on through the millions he's affected. A larger than life icon & hero to an 11-year old kid that to this day will forever remind me why I do what I do. Thank you Kobe.
Hindsight they say is 20/20 here's look at 2019, the age of 25 & what I've learned, and whats to come in 2020.
13 years into the game what I've learned & struggled with as a "creative". The importance of consistency & ever awareness of experience shifting alongside other tangents. ASMR edition, no not really I'm just super congested in this one. Enjoy.
A look at what’s ongoing & outlook going forward. What I’ve been up to, listening to, watching, you name it. All while trying to “Slow things down”.
A look at the last couple weeks & things that lie ahead in business, life, & so on. Throughout a crazy week some insight into why I do what I do & the series of things I remind myself along the way as to why I'm here in the first place. What it took, what I learned, and what I need to do going forward. Along with a myriad of other ramblings.
This episode features a special guest my girlfriend (at the time of recording anyway) introducing her to the show formally & diving into a heavy topic of finance. Building off episode 6's conversation and bringing in some dialogue. So Episode 6 part 2? or whatever you want to call it. Needless to say a look at what I hope to be a more common format of the show open & transparent conversation.
A look at life's misconceptions according to some guy on the internet aka me. First 35 minutes tackle a look at personal finance and the world of advice around that. Should you skip on your $5 latte? What makes up wealth? How do you obtain more? The list goes on. The rest tackles other misconceptions does loving what you do mean never working a day of your life? And so on...
What does it mean to work hard? Is it enough? An insight and look at how I deal with the day to day struggles & realities of working hard at the thing you love.
Should you start business, who should, why? A look at the world of business although sometimes glorified the realities that come with it & the responsibilities in running/managing one.
A decade long look at what I've done & currently do for a living. Like seriously in-depth from my Youtube start to current ventures & hopes for the future. Storyteller?, influencer?, Youtuber?, Investor?. Tune in to get the full recap.
We need the greater fool. However even on days outside of April 1st we need to be reminded that the internet albeit a great resource & library of information can be a wild wild west. Where does the consolidation of information become the "Fake News" or misinformation. Whats our responsibility as users of the internet?
A creators return to the world of online content. A transparent approach to the creators dilemma & problems we all face in our craft/passion in some form or another. Open dialogue, honest conversations, storytelling in an open format. This is Transparency.
