A podcast that takes a hard look at the Unemployment crisis in Wisconsin.
In this episode I share the disaster of attempting to solve an issue with my claim, a phone call with a specialist that clearly couldn't help, and a rant about how ridiculous it is that claimants go through these hoops constantly with no resolutions WHILE HOLDING APPROVAL LETTERS IN THEIR HANDS!!!!!
In this episode I merge a facebook live with the podcast and discussed the facts that haven't been shared through media over the past few months. Topics discussed were the Executive Orders, DWD releases, Absentee Voting/Mail In Voting, USPS, etc.
In this episode I lay down the ground work of where the UI system came from and what it was intended to do for the unemployed and the economy. From that foundation the discussion moves onto the FPUC (Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation) program and why on earth it hasn't been extended and the people that have prevented it.
In this episode Ashley and I hash out the differences between the HEROES and HEALS Acts. We highlight the UI issues that are included and those that aren't. We also have an amazing discussion about the ridiculous items/bailouts that are included in these acts that are absolute trash and should be removed.
Ashley Green is BACK!!!!! We are breaking down the disaster that was the SSDI saga and how it started, progressed, and ended. We both walk back some of our Frostman bashing and give the Sec. some credit for being one of the legit hero's in the saga and getting the folks their rightful benefits.
In this episode I'm joined by the amazing Ashley Green, a co-founder of the Wisconsin Unemployment ACTION Group and the Wisconsin Unemployment Advocates page, both on Facebook. We really go all in on today's hot topics in the unemployment world and take our turn sharing our own personal opinions on key players in the games. #cleartheclaims Bonus appearance by Caleb Frostman in the end of the episode!
In this episode I share a call with my so called adjudicator to attempt to clear an issue that has been assigned to claimed weeks of my PUA claim. It's exhausting. These people have "no idea" and really don't care about the people that are actually affected by their careless and untimely actions.
In this episode I go hot and heavy on the most RIDICULOUS question in the weekly claims reporting process "During the week, did you attend school anytime between the hours of 7am and 5pm, M-F?" This question has been used to deny and delay claims for up to 19 weeks as claimants who are online students, or students who have one class in the morning and then work the rest of the day are stuck trying to navigate a system that is meant to fail them.
The systematic disaster at the Wisconsin DWD Unemployment Division is directly linked to the mishandling and tyranical leadership of Amy Banicki. After being called out about her failures she began clearing claims behind closed doors and without any preferance to order in processing. She needs to go and she needs to go NOW!
The Rep's and Dem's have ended the silence and help is on the way! Or not . . . This episode discusses the insanity that is the Republican proposal of a loan program for claimants waiting for their benefits and a dead in the water Democatic package that stinks of sour grapes and bad attitudes over issues that seriously need to die with the coronavirus. Buckle up, it's a wild ride.
Alorica - Nelnet - Beyond Vision These are our saviors. Contracted to revive us and dig us out of the pit we found ourselves in. This episode uncovers the the saving that never was and sheds light on a solution that became part of the bigger problem. Stick around for the discovery of the day when I learn about the actual origins of Beyond Vision and their fantastic business model and the abhorrent misuse by our shameless DWD.
Continuing with our timeline, we delve into April and the first part of May. Thing get a little heated as the reality of benefits not getting paid promptly starts to dawn on claimants. The DWD begins their nonsense with the call centers and announces their first relationship with the lovely vendors that are being called upon to save us from our plight.
Unemployment in Wisconsin started off on a bad foot when our DWD Secretary failed to act when a national health crisis was alerted and continued to fail in terms of response throughout the month of March. This podcast, starting with Episode 1 will go deep into the crisis and expose not only the Unemployment Division, but the lawmakers that stood on the sidelines and allowed people to go homeless, the media who covered fluff stories, and the breaking news of the entire situation.
