An Overview/Outlook for the COVID-19 Pandemic

Play Episode Listen Later Mar 22, 2020 46:41

The world has changed dramatically, really fast. You have questions: Where did this come from? Isn't it like the Flu? Am I going to get sick? When will this end? And how will the world change when it's over? I have done research and try to answer as many questions as I can. I asked my students to guide me in those questions, and I did as much research as possible over the last few days since we are all social distancing, and I wanted to share with you what I learned and what I think is going to happen. Disclaimer: No, I am not a doctor, or an epidemiologist, or a virologist, but I am a biologist/educator with a lot of time on my hands and a keen interest in how this virus is affecting the world and how it will affect the world long term. I have compiled a list of the questions I sought to answer, a summarized script, and all the resources used in the link here. If you have questions, reach me at my twitter or instagram: @vscienceclasses I hope this helps, and I hope you are getting though this well. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/antonio-villarreal/message
