A podcast about our family of four where we discuss parenting, life events, argue about stuff, and hear from our adorable children.
It has been a long time since we posted one of these, sorry about that… but here's a newlywed-ish game we recorded around Thanksgiving 2023.
Adulting is tough, we talk about some hardships, Amy's many many tv shows, the history of alchohol, etc. Amy shows off her musical talent, and Levi saves lives. Finally, Kyla interviews us while we are on our camping trip!
Sorry folks for another one year hiatus, but we're back again. This is admittedly a pretty boring episode, primarily an update/summary of the last year or so, but then Levi interviews Kyla in the second half (much better than the first!). We talk about school, camping, favorites, etc.
The RSS change has already happened through Apple, Google, Spotify, etc., but if you are subscribed directly to podbean, then search for us in your podcast app (search We Used To Be Fun) for an updated feed, or check the site below to directly listen or grab the updated rss link. Podbean only allowed us to host a few recent episodes, so we are now hosting a site via github to keep all episodes available! weusedtobefun.github.io
After essentially a one year hiatus, we're back! Janey joins us as a special guest, we catch up on a year of pandemic life in a matter of minutes, talk about The Mandalorian sort of, and play a game of "mimic" where we all try to mimic random sounds. This episode was recorded in mid-Feb 2021. Comments or questions? twitter.com/weusedtobefun

The third and final episode of this series. Mostly more rapid fire, but it was getting pretty late and everyone was a little tipsy, hungry, and volume levels varied significantly!

Amy convinces Levi to drink hard liquor and answer questions... never again. We discuss some political contenders (FYI, this was recorded a couple of months ago, but just finally got it edited), then we ask the kids about our summer vacation, activities, school, etc.Comments or questions? twitter.com/weusedtobefun

We talk about Amy's steps to surefire happiness, and Levi is a grumpy old man. Finally, Nora “reads” us a Star Wars book.
Levi does most of the talking again… this time all about Star Wars Celebration! Then, Kyla talks about Doc McStuffins, her current favorite show.
Levi declares his analogist superiority and talks about 3d printing… all to Amy's amusement. Then, the kids talk about Star Wars characters, etc.
Who is Kate Beckinsale's latest boytoy? We discuss our favorite bands and songs, and vacation options. Levi rants about sexism in parenting, we discuss gender norms and expectations, Amy does a British accent, and the kids talk with dad at bedtime.
Some quick updates on this episode. We talk cholesterol, dance class, Nora's preschool, Emperor Palpatine, and some triumphs and fails. We play a game where we try to guess songs without music or lyricism, and the kids talk about Woody, Star Wars, and continue being adorable.
A quick update on Levi's degree, triumphs and fails, Amy takes the kids to play in a mud pit, and Kyla gets a bug on her hair.
We're on iTunes! Amy gives an update on the WSU strike (which is over now, but wasn't as of this recording). Charlie Brown is hilarious. We play a game of “what words we'd use to describe eachother”, which goes exactly as we should've expected, and Kyla talks about her favorite...
What are bad habits that we selfishly want to let our kids do, even if its not good for them? What are our least favorite parenting responsibilities, and favorite things to do as a family? We eat some kettle cooked potato chips whilst podcasting, argue about what age kids should...
Things get serious in episode 2. Amy discusses the WSU strike, we go over some parenting triumphs and fails, and the kids do impressions of movie characters.
Let's talk about how are we going to do this podcast, some dogs we've had, horses, and an in-depth child review of Mulan II (2004).
