There is not a lot of star power on this New York Jets roster. One might say that makes them an easy target for the New England Patriots. One might also say that makes the Jets dangerous because they have nothing to lose. The Patriots are coming off a disappointing, yet inspiring loss to the Dolphins in Week 1, while the Jets looked hapless against the Panthers. The Jets lost their starting left tackle, their punter, their waterboy, and probably a few other thing along the way, and the Patriots are primed to take advantage. So how can the Patriots offense, led by Mac Jones, beat a Jets defense that's best unit is its defensive line? And how can the New England defense stop a Jets offense that only boasts one marquee player? Alec and Rich cover it all. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
It is week two of the 2021 NFL regular season and the Miami Dolphins are all alone in FIRST PLACE of the AFC East. That is because The Bills and Jets lost their opening games and The Dolphins beat New England IN New England for just the second time since 2008. How sweet it is to be back on top of the division! So how did this victory come about? Outside of turnovers and penalties, New England dominated the stat lines, but Miami seemingly never lost control of the game.Sam and Chris give different takes on how this victory made them feel and despite riding high for the opening week of the season, this team still has a ton of questions that need to be answered as they head into week two against the Buffalo Bills.Speaking of The Bills...did you know that our guest this week absolutely HATES them? Former Dolphins Safety Jimmy Wilson joins the show to discuss the AFC East rival, his time with the team, and what rookie defender he is already impressed with. Jimmy also details how his former coach helped give him a career in the NFL, why he became a Cowboys fan as a kid and his thoughts on the NIL decision for college athletes.Afterwards, the boys get back to business and preview the home opener against the Buffalo Bills. Sam and Chris differ on the outcome of this game, believe it or not. Find out who is optimistic about Miami's chances, and who is not, in segment number three!Welcome To Perfectville is part of the BLEAV Podcast Network and is presented by BetOnline.AG.Enjoy and Welcome To Perfectville!

South Korea says it had completed trials of a submarine launched ballistic missile. The announcement came hours after its neighbour North Korea test-fired two ballistic missiles into the sea. Japan said the North Korean launch was 'outrageous'. Just two days before Russia goes to the polls we hear about the unprecedented crackdown on dissent in the country. Angry exchanges at a special tribunal in The Hague, where a pro-independence fighter from Kosovo is facing allegations of war crimes. Also, we hear how health workers in France who refuse to be vaccinated against Covid-19 risk being suspended without pay. And how plastic in the oceans is affecting Whales and Dolphins and exacerbating climate change. The New England Patriots running backs were both responsible for keeping the Patriots in the game and for giving it away. While Damien Harris had a strong showing, his late fumble cost the Patriots a chance to win, while Rhamondre Stevenson's fumble led to his benching for the foreseeable future. According to Expected Points modeling, those fumbles combined to take an expected 8 points off the board, with the reversal of either play likely allowing the Patriots to win the game. That's brutal. And even with that, the future is bright. Mac Jones looked excellent, as did Nelson Agholor, Jonnu Smith, and Hunter Henry. The defense did a great job against a talented Dolphins offense, and they'll only get better as Dont'a Hightower shakes off the rust and Stephon Gilmore returns to the lineup. So, yes, the Patriots lost in week 1, but they're looking like they'll be able to compete for the whole season. Alec and Rich break it all down. Learn more about your ad choices. In his NFL regular-season debut, New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones threw for 281 yards, going 29-for-39 with one touchdown.
