WKYT Conversations with Victor and Andrea

This week Victor and Andrea interview WKYT reporter Grace Finerman. Grace starting working at the station just a few weeks before the coronavirus pandemic started and has had to do most of her work from home. They talk about what it's like to work at a new place as the world is changing.

In this episode Andrea and Victor interview Nick Oliver, a reporter at WKYT, who grew up watching the people he now works beside. Nick talks about his journey from working at WKYT part-time while in college, to reporting on air five days a week.

In this week's episode, Andrea and Victor talk to WKYT reporter Shelby Lofton. Shelby has been at the station since July of 2019. They talk about what it's like working in Kentucky after growing up in Las Angeles. Lofton has been working remotely for the last few months. Andrea and Victor also talk about their upcoming appearance on Kentucky Sports Radio's Listicuffs podcast, where they battled against each other in a trivia battle.

He talks about his start as a news anchor and how his love for sports led to a switch from news. You'll also get to hear Victor and Brian do impressions of "Macho Man" Randy Savage editing video. The show ends with Andrea talking about her favorite thing this week, which is a story close to where she grew up.

In this week's episode, Victor and Andrea are joined by Rob Cesternino to talk about the latest season of Survivor. This season is all about people who have won the show, returning to play again, including Kentuckian Nick Wilson. This week Victor and Andrea are joined by Jani Lewis, the executive director of Natalie's Sisters. The group helps sexually exploited women in Lexington, Kentucky, by helping guide them to resources to make a fresh start.

Daniel "DH" Harrison of Country Boy Brewing is back on the podcast to talk about the 2020 Gravy Challenge they're hosting as part of their 8th-anniversary celebration. He also gives an exclusive update on a significant change at their Lexington location. Also, Andrea learns some new country sayings, and Victor learns he might have a problem.
