This week I had a conversation with one of my very best friends, Will Stone. While I had never actually met Will before, we have known each other for over a year all the way back from our Athlete Nation days. Will now spends his days doing incredible graphic design work for the University of Nebraska (like seriously, insane). We talk about all things life and career, reflecting and projecting. I can’t wait to listen back on this episode years from now and hear how far we’ve come. Enjoy! We’re back! Our first episode releases 9/8/19 with Hunter Radenslaben, Founder of Athlete Nation. New episodes will now release EVERY week. I’ll also be pushing content hard on IG and LinkedIn (my new favorite platforms) with my new, niche down message to better reach creatives & entrepreneurs in the Midwest. I also got a proper DSLR camera (not to brag), so be on the lookout for some good (maybe great) content. At age six, he knew what he wanted to be. At age twelve, he started a twitter page that grew to 10k in a month. At age fourteen, he watched his mother take her last breath. Hunter Radenslaben is the founder and CEO of Athlete Nation, a media platform and production company capturing stories in sports. They help brands and athletes engage their audience with media production and creative strategy. As a public speaker, he has spoken on the TEDx stage and across the Midwest to tens of thousands of students, educators, and business professionals to share his story.
During this episode of #734IGLIve I was joined by three new guests who had never been on the show before. First was Ben Mohorn who is our Creative Director at Striv. He was on his way into Lincoln to shoot some photos/video with Athlete Nation and I shared the story about how we met and him putting out a video he created for the York soccer team led to a full-time job at Striv. Next on the show was Jason Shaffer who is a teacher and educator from Florida who I recently connected with on Twitter. He has been teaching a personal branding class with students since 2012 and so I mentioned his name last week and told him about it and said he should join. It was a blast to introduce him to the community and have him share part of his story. Last but not least I finally got the one and only Craig Badura on the show. We talked about education, golfing and cooking. He's a great friend and it was fun to have him on to share! I hope you find value in this week's episode. Send me a tweet or DM to @taylorsiebert. I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks for listening!
Athlete Nation started as a Twitter account in 2012, when Hunter Radenslaben was just 12-years-old. Heading into his freshman year of high school, Hunter lost his mother to cancer. It was during that time that he made the decision to create something bigger than himself. A place to share uplifting messages that would create a positive impact on the world around him. Today, Athlete Nation is a sports media company helping athletes, brands, and athletic programs share stories that matter.
