Critical Race Theory In Our Schools Dr. George Maurer part 2Critical Race Theory, or commonly referred to as CRT, has been in the news a lot recently. One thing is certain, CRT has totally infiltrated our education system… When confronted, education leaders will deny it is impacting education – and in a lot of cases, they blatantly say it is not being taught at all… As a parent or grandparent who is trying to find out about what IS being taught on Critical Race Theory, it's almost impossible to find the information you are looking for. Why? Because the powers that be do not want you to understand what it is. It takes someone who knows how to navigate those dangerous waters to be able to go in, find out what's happening and then come back and report on it. That is what our guest today has accomplished. Dr. George Maurer is an award-winning broadcast journalist with more than 35 years of experience. He's a retired Air Force Master Sergeant who deployed to Iraq during the Global War on Terrorism. He also served overseas in Japan, Korea, the Portuguese Azores, and Alaska. For his final assignment, he served in the Pentagon Press Briefing Room alongside all major news organizations. He's interviewed top defense officials such as Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Michael Mullen as well as rock stars like Sammy Hagar and Pat Benatar. During his career, he covered a wide range of major events such as the first military tribunals of enemy combatants at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and the Super Bowl. He is also the author of an expose' book titled, “Critical Race Theory in Your School.” In this book, he provides YOU, the average parent or grandparent, vital information to identify IF CRT is being taught and what you can do about it! Amen! In this book, he provides you some “key words” to be watching out for and how you can then use that information to your advantage. To share some great insights into exposing CRT and what you can do to fight it in your school district, help me welcome to the program, Dr. George Maurer. This is part two to a great conversation with Dr. Geroge Maurer! One section of your book jumped out at me that I'd like to share. You were discussing an interview you watched with a Dr. Cardona on a television program called, “The View.” On this show he was asked, point blank, if CRT was being taught at any grade level in the public school and he answered “no.” He was then asked if it was being taught “anywhere.” You said as he answered the question “NO” he broke the gaze with the host and was looking down and to the left. You picked up on that as being deceptive. As a retired police officer, I've had the opportunity to take several interrogation classes and have conducted numerous interrogations at one level or another over my time in law enforcement. I can definitely say, if someone is “trying to remember” something… they will usually look “up and to the right.” And, if they are trying to deceive or avoid the question, you were correct in your assumption that they will look, “down and to the left.” This is NOT 100% accurate… in law enforcement, we call it a “clue” they may not be telling the truth… and it keys us into an area that we need to ask more probing questions, etc. In your book, “Critical Race Theory in Your School,” you discuss this is not a new tactic but actually started with Rush Limbaugh and Lars Larson radio shows where these talking points would be called in by liberal operatives. Explain that information for us… Some school districts will say they are not teaching CRT, but

Spoiler alert: I am sharing an idea that has created a MAJOR decrease in classroom issues. The term “classroom management” is thrown around a lot. We had whole classes dedicated to it in undergrad. Our principals talk about it in our evaluations. And these days some teachers are even saying we need to “ditch it.” Some educators believe that classroom management “isn't needed” if we just have classroom respect. What do you think? Well, in this episode I give my 2 cents on classroom management AND dish out my all time FAVORITE idea on how I manage my own students. And all you need is a deck of cards.
