HUD Secretary Ben Carson goes after FFRF on his Facebook page after we filed a lawsuit in response to his dodging of FOIA records requests relating to a White House bible study. FFRF attorney Colin McNamara tells us about another FOIA lawsuit we just filed over a Kentucky jailer who is refusing to provide documents in our investigation of prayer services at a county jail. Then we talk with Camille Beredjick, author of the new book, Queer Disbelief: Why LGBTQ Equality is an Atheist Issue.
Hemant Mehta of "Friendly Atheist" and author Camille Beredjick speak about "Queer Disbelief," a book (near publication) which links the atheist movement to the LGBTQ movement, exploring the similarities and differences...and what they can learn from each other.Kickstarter Page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/friendlyatheist/queer-disbelief-by-camille-beredjickSupport our sponsor: http://www.thegreatcoursesplus.com/seth
In a bonus episode of the podcast, I spoke with Camille Beredjick about her new book Queer Disbelief (which I helped edit). We spoke about why atheists should be on the front lines of LGBTQ activism, what aspect of the book was most difficult to write, and how she celebrated the completion of her first book. Please support the project at Kickstarter!
