We first met on Twitter, and as you’ll hear in the interview, we got the chance to meet in person several months back at Social Media Marketing World in San Diego. There is nothing like meeting someone in person you first met online, and especially with someone you made an impressionable connection with. When Christin and I saw each other at the conference, it was as if we had known each other forever. That is the power of connecting on social media and it’s definitely the power of Twitter! Chris attributes her relevant experience to her seventeen years as a military spouse. She founded a non-profit site to facilitate resource sharing and peer to peer support for military spouses, has spent years leveraging blogs and social media to promote veterans’ interests and most recently served as a special staff officer to a Marine commander in Okinawa, Japan where she was responsible for administering the unit’s web site and maintaining communication with over 700 personnel and their family members. Today Chris is putting her experience with content management systems and social media to use for Bay Leaf Digital’s clients right here in the USA.
