Your liver and blood sugar are far more connected than most people realize. In this episode, Nurse Doza walks through five links between the two: how the liver stores and releases glucose, where insulin resistance actually begins, how stress and cortisol raise blood sugar without food, how all of it lands on your mitochondria, and what obesity has to do with the whole picture. Featured Product The Metabolic Pack bundles the three formulas this episode keeps circling back to: Liver Boost to support phase I and phase II liver detoxification pathways, Mitochondriac for resveratrol, quercetin and pterostilbene to support cellular energy production, and Zen to support a healthy stress and cortisol response. Liver, cellular energy, and stress — supported together in one simple daily protocol. Suggested use: 2 Liver Boost, 1 Mitochondriac, and 1 Zen daily with food.

Have you ever felt like you know exactly what you should be doing to lose weight... but life keeps getting in the way?In this Ask Me Anything episode, I'm answering five of the most common questions I receive from busy women who are trying to lose weight without sacrificing family time, giving up their favorite foods, or constantly starting over every Monday. If you've ever struggled with consistency, wondered why your body isn't responding the way it used to, or felt frustrated because you're eating "healthy" but still not seeing results, this episode is for you.In this episode, I discuss:Why consistency isn't about having more willpower, it's about creating better systems. My simple 1-1-3 meal planning method that makes healthy eating easier, even during busy weeks. Why you never need to cook separate meals for yourself and your family to lose weight. How portion control allows you to enjoy foods like pasta, bread, and family favorites while still making progress. Why weight loss becomes more challenging after 35, including the role of cortisol, estrogen, insulin, and muscle mass. The difference between eating healthy and eating for fat loss. Why knowing what to do isn't enough and how to identify the real reason you're struggling with consistency. Why solving emotional eating, stress, and burnout is often more important than finding another meal plan or healthy recipe.Key TakeawaysHealthy eating doesn't have to be complicated. The more you simplify your approach and prepare ahead of time, the easier it becomes to stay consistent.Weight loss shouldn't require restriction or separate meals. Learning how to portion your meals properly allows you to enjoy the foods you love while still reaching your goals. If you're over 35, your body has changed and your strategy needs to change with it. Understanding your hormones, protecting your muscle mass, and managing stress can make a significant difference. Finally, if you keep starting over every Monday, remember this: you're not broken, and you don't lack motivation. Most of the time, you're simply trying to solve the wrong problem. Once you identify what's really holding you back, consistency becomes much easier.Mentioned in this episodeEpisode 120: Why You Know What to Do But Can't Stay ConsistentLinksApply for coaching: HEREFollow Angela on Instagram: HERE
What is the difference between having goals and living from aspiration? How do we respond when fear takes over? What if self-compassion feels impossible? How do we forgive ourselves, navigate profound grief, heal from trauma, or rediscover joy in practice? In this first Ask Me Anything session, Tara responds to heartfelt questions from our global community, exploring many of the challenges that touch us most deeply. Together we investigate how mindfulness and compassion help us meet fear, shame, loss, trauma, illness, and uncertainty—not by escaping our experience, but by discovering the awareness and love that can hold it all. These reflections are offered as practical guidance and as an invitation to trust the innate wisdom and tenderness that live within each of us.
In this episode, I sit down with Dr Peter Wayne, Director of the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Harvard Medical School and Brigham & Women's Hospital. A prolific researcher of the science of body-mind practices, Peter is the author of The Harvard Medical School Guide to Tai Chi (2013) and over 200 scientific papers. But he has also been a practitioner and instructor of taiji and qigong for over 45 years, and is the founder of the Tree of Life Tai Chi Center outside of Boston. Together we explore the intersection of science and practice, as well as the bridges he has been building for decades between them. Along the way, we discuss reconciling reductionism with systems thinking, Peter's ecological way of speaking about the body, and whether or not one should mention qi in a scientific paper. In this Ask Me Anything, Dwyane and Bob take fan questions on career, mindset, and a few surprises. Dwyane opens up about playing without a meniscus since age 19, multiple knee surgeries, a high pain tolerance, and the intensive leg work his trainers used to keep him on the floor. On killer mentality, he says you’re born with it but it has to be nurtured, and that after retiring he had to go to therapy just to figure out where to put that energy. His favorite championship is 2006, no hesitation, leading the team at 24 and jumping on the scorer’s table to soak it all in, a moment that later inspired a dance for a movie cameo. On recognition, he says the most meaningful respect came from the fear of the guys he played against, and despite missing the 2008 MVP he’s fully at peace with his legacy. He also admits his guilty pleasure movie is Pootie Tang and that he watches Fast and Furious because he likes knowing exactly what’s going to happen. Music Credit: Khari Mateen. In this Ask Me Anything episode, Ben Felix, Ben Wilson, and Louai Bibi tackle a wide-ranging collection of listener questions spanning investing, retirement, family finance, and financial planning. Along the way, they combine academic research, practical experience, and thoughtful discussion to separate evidence-based decisions from intuition. The conversation explores everything from teaching children healthy money habits and the long-term behavioral challenges of value investing to sequence of returns risk, retirement spending strategies, and global portfolio construction. The episode concludes with an in-depth discussion of Louai Bibi's National Financial Planning Award-winning financial plan, highlighting the importance of holistic advice, evidence-based planning, and continuous improvement through client feedback. Key Points From This Episode: (00:00:00) Introduction (0:05:30) Advice for aspiring financial planners: Building skills, credentials, networks, and mentorship early in your career. (0:07:35) Why young advisors should be "a sponge" and learn from both good and bad professional experiences. (0:09:41) Ben Felix on completing the CFA, CIM, and CFP early—and why creating content accelerated his learning. (0:11:51) Why getting large numbers of client-facing "reps" can dramatically improve an advisor's ability to communicate advice. (0:15:44) Choosing the right firm, team, and mentors—and how networking helped Ben Felix ultimately join PWL. (0:18:53) Should a young physician borrow from a professional line of credit to invest? (0:24:55) Robert Merton's perspective on leverage for young investors and the risks of implementing leverage through margin borrowing. (0:28:21) Why the psychological experience of investing borrowed money can be very different from owning an unleveraged portfolio. (0:30:35) How much leverage is needed before it meaningfully changes a long-term financial plan. (0:31:36) Should investors increase their equity allocation before considering leverage? (0:33:39) Louai's experience working with physicians and why becoming debt-free can change how people feel about borrowing to invest. (0:36:00) Louai and Ben Felix share their own experiences with leverage. (0:36:59) How to teach children about money, scarcity, saving, generosity, and spending. (0:38:26) Ben Wilson's approach: Save 50%, give 10%, and let his kids decide what to do with the remaining 40%. (0:40:02) Using wealth for memorable family experiences rather than simply giving children more money. (0:42:51) Why anticipating an experience can be an important part of the enjoyment it creates. (0:43:42) Is the value premium worth the behavioral challenge of potentially enduring years of underperformance? (0:44:11) Ben Felix explains why the difficulty of sticking with value may itself contribute to the premium. (0:45:47) Can having a sufficiently large portfolio eliminate sequence-of-returns concerns? (0:49:41) Reframing "sequence of returns" as "sequence of withdrawals"—and why flexible spending matters. (0:51:21) Separating retirement expenses into fixed needs and flexible spending. (0:52:47) The purchases that have delivered the best personal ROI for Ben, Ben, and Louai. (0:53:08) Ben Felix on his indoor basketball hoop, family travel, sauna, and prepared meal delivery. (0:56:56) Ben Wilson on family vacations, skiing, cycling, and why his family chose a pool over a cottage or boat. (0:58:27) Louai on his 49-inch monitor, his dog, and investing in health and fitness. (1:00:42) How should investors geographically weight a global small-cap value portfolio? (1:05:13) Why a globally diversified portfolio that an investor can actually stick with matters more than finding a theoretically perfect country allocation. (1:07:19) What should investors approaching retirement or FIRE do about sequence-of-returns risk? (1:09:00) Research comparing declining, rising, and static equity allocations during retirement. (1:13:38) Why risk tolerance, time horizon, spending needs, and financial-plan resilience should drive retirement asset allocation. (1:15:07) The National Financial Planning Awards, the judging process, and the sponsorship conflict disclosure surrounding Louai's award. (1:18:37) Inside Louai's 47-page award-winning financial plan and the range of planning issues it addressed. (1:20:06) What Louai believes actually distinguished the submission: Not one clever strategy, but a holistic decision-making process. (1:21:39) Why Louai sought feedback from planners outside PWL and how the award process can improve the broader team. (1:23:26) Why Louai believes financial-planning knowledge and feedback should be shared rather than "gatekept." (1:23:56) How feedback from the Rational Reminder community changed Louai's thinking about investment risk. (1:24:40) Why defining risk purely as short-term volatility can overlook the bigger risk of failing to achieve financial goals. (1:27:59) How public feedback through the podcast creates a powerful learning loop for the PWL team. (1:28:29) A PWL client review on the value of planning, professional experience, and advice that puts the client's interests first. Sarah Wayne Callies and Paul Adelstein discuss “Prison Break” episode 410, “The Legend,” focusing on the unexpected emotional weight of Brad Bellick's death and how the show crafts redemption arcs that humanize former antagonists. They explore plot threads including the hunt for Scylla's designer David Baker (and a surprising real-world namesake), Trishanne's reveal as a federal plant, and questions about Don Self's credibility as a threat versus a bureaucrat. They highlight a grounded hospital scene between Sara and Michael that raises the stakes of his tumor and frames their relationship as deeply committed. Casting director Scott “Genk” Genkinger joins to detail his role from episode two through season four, the collaborative global casting network, key cast additions (including Rob Knepper as T-Bag), notable hires and near-misses (Chris Hemsworth for Whistler), and how casting choices build an ensemble “company.” The conversation also contrasts past and present casting practices, self-tapes, and shifting Hollywood norms. On the latest episode of The Run-Through, hosts Chloe Malle, Chioma Nnadi, and Nicole Phelps gathered in the studio together for an Ask Me Anything session pulled from questions on the Vogue app and from students in Vogue's Summer School program. The conversation covered internship advice and career guidance, but a throughline emerged: enthusiasm and curiosity matter more than any single credential. The hosts also opened up about how the culture of the office itself has shifted. Heels have given way to sneakers, the dress code has loosened, and the pandemic accelerated a broader move toward comfort and personal style across the industry. They also swapped stories about their own "I made it" moments, from a first magazine cover to being recognized on the street by young listeners of the podcast, and reflected on conversations with designers. The hosts traded takes on nostalgia and trend forecasting, including dream dinner parties with Coco Chanel or Yves Saint Laurent, first big bag purchases (a lime-green Kate Spade shopper among them), and the resurgence of the drop waist. Stay tuned for our next AMA to submit your own questions! The Run-Through with Vogue is your go-to podcast where fashion meets culture. The Head of Instagram answers questions weekly, and on this show, I dissect the answers. On today's episode, we break down who can see what on Instagram - if someone can tell you viewed their profile, if there's a way to know who saved and shared your post or Reel, and if someone sends you a DM you haven't accepted yet, if they can tell you read it. We'll also get in to some reach related questions, including if having multiple captions on a carousel will boost reach, and if carousels are still valuable. Plus we get into some feature suggestions, and at the end, I ask for questions so I can do my own Ask Me Anything episode. Morris Katz helped orchestrate Zohran Mamdani's historic victory and Graham Platner's ultimately disastrous run for Senate. It's quite a résumé for a political consultant who is still in his 20s. Platner's implosion could prove particularly costly for Democrats. It may mean the difference between winning and losing a Senate majority. But before the rape accusation that ended his campaign, Platner had come out of nowhere to beat Janet Mills, the sitting governor of Maine, who was Chuck Schumer's hand-picked candidate. The lessons to take from that campaign remain angrily contested. Katz, a senior adviser to Platner, has been central to many of the most attention-grabbing, populist campaigns in recent years: Besides Mamdani's New York mayoral upset, he worked on John Fetterman's 2022 Senate campaign and Dan Osborn's 2024 independent Senate run in Nebraska. He has figured something out about this political moment. Along the way, he has become a controversial figure himself. So what has he gotten right? And what has he learned from what he's gotten wrong? This episode contains strong language. Ask Me Anything: We're going to be recording an “Ask Me Anything” episode soon. Questions answered in this episode of Ask Me Anything: What are the tells in a tape or video link that immediately signal real comic maturity to you? When a comedian earns a one-month residency by getting passed, booking an audition, or winning a contest, what does that mean for their career? I'll be doing my first comedy club audition this summer — what key advice do you have? Do you think you need a big ego to survive in the entertainment industry? How do I practice comedy? In this Podcast Extra, Join John as he answers a wide range of grower-submitted questions covering challenges in agriculture. The discussion focuses on managing high summer leaf temperatures, optimizing organic nitrogen budgets, and navigating severe base saturation imbalances. John emphasizes the critical connection between precise crop nutrition, active soil biology, and the natural suppression of destructive diseases and pests. Other topics discussed include: Managing nutrition and the microbiome through AEA's integrated approach to help achieve crop resistance to spotted wing drosophila in berries. Reducing pecan scab and weevil pressure by balancing trace minerals and applying AEA products like Pinion and PhotoMag. Evaluating plant metabolism and internal health by measuring sugar levels, EC, and pH/EH homeostasis on a sap analysis. Managing almond bloom diseases and pests like navel orange worm using AEA's Pinion alongside targeted applications of calcium and boron. Executing safe foliar applications of solubilized urea by managing overall solution concentration and electrolyte levels to prevent crop leaf burn. Improving late-season calcium absorption in fruit crops through soil shading and foliar boron applications. Pre-blending AEA nutritional products before spraying to create a synergistic response because the formulations are designed to support living biology. Addressing insect pests like the apple borer using a foliar combination of AEA's PhotoMag, Rejuvenate, and Rebound Boron. Mitigating crop damage from herbicide drift using AEA products like SeaStim, MacroPak, MicroPak, HoloCal, and Rebound minerals to bind chelating herbicide molecules. Utilizing micronized mineral products like AEA's Accelerate and HoloCal to deliver fast results as leaf-surface microbes rapidly metabolize the minerals. Generating disproportionate crop responses in soil by fertigating and feeding rhizosphere microbes with the same consistency as foliar feeding. Increasing lipid levels in pasture forage through adequate soil levels of calcium, sulfur, and boron combined with strategic grazing management. Understanding how high sodium and chloride accumulation distorts refractometer brix readings by inflating total dissolved solids rather than indicating pure sugar content. About John Kempf A top expert in biological and regenerative farming, John founded AEA in 2006 to help fellow farmers by providing the education, tools, and strategies that will have a global effect on the food supply and those who grow it. Through intense study and the knowledge gleaned from many industry leaders, John is building a comprehensive systems-based approach to plant nutrition – a system solidly based on the sciences of plant physiology, mineral nutrition, and soil microbiology. Support For This Show & Helping You Grow Since 2006, AEA has been on a mission to help growers become more resilient, efficient, and profitable with regenerative agriculture. On today's episode of The Therapy Crouch, Abbey and Peter are back in New York for another chaotic Ask Me Anything, and this week's questions spark conversations that go absolutely everywhere. The pair kick things off by joking about being reunited after travelling, with Abbey admitting she's officially decided she can't cope with single parenting, while Peter cheekily negotiates a "week on, week off" arrangement. One listener asks Abbey for advice ahead of giving birth, leading to an honest chat about their own labour experiences, planned inductions, epidurals and the one thing Peter kept doing that drove Abbey absolutely mad while she was stuck in hospital. Peter also attempts to explain oxytocin... with predictably disastrous results.Elsewhere, the pair react to one of the funniest listener confessions yet, involving a very drunk son, the wrong bedroom and an unforgettable wake-up call that had everyone in stitches.Plus, Abbey and Peter weigh in on whether having loads of mirrors in your bedroom is a genuine relationship red flag, debate whether men are actually more vain than women, and Abbey exposes Peter's bizarre habit of practising his golf swing completely naked after getting out of the shower. If you want to submit an Agony Ab or Ask Me Anything question to the podcast, hit the link below:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1rAKD...00:00 - Welcome back to another NYC Ask Me Anything00:35 - Abbey admits she doesn't want to be a single parent01:02 - Peter jokes about week-on, week-off parenting01:38 - Listener asks Abbey for labour and birth advice02:20 - C-section vs natural birth and preparing for labour02:52 - Peter completely misunderstands oxytocin03:24 - Did Peter help... or annoy Abbey during labour?03:40 - Why all of their births were carefully planned04:12 - Abbey explains why football dictated delivery dates04:34 - Peter's biggest labour wind-up revealed05:06 - Nando's, pizza and making a starving Abbey jealous05:28 - Peter praises Abbey after giving birth06:12 - Would Abbey have another baby?06:34 - Sienna Miller, older mums and Rice Krispies jokes06:46 - Listener's hilarious drunk son confession07:05 - Climbing into mum's bed completely naked07:32 - The missing phone makes the story even worse08:13 - Abbey and Peter react to the unbelievable confession08:52 - Is having loads of bedroom mirrors a red flag?09:18 - How long is too long to stare at yourself?09:46 - Abbey admits her brother loves his reflection10:10 - Are men actually more vain than women?10:41 - Love Island, gym culture and mirror habits11:00 - Peter's hilarious opinion of himself11:15 - Abbey exposes Peter's naked golf swing routineTo contact us:Email: thetherapycrouch@gmail.comInstagram: / thetherapycrouchpodcast TikTok: / thetherapycrouch Website:https://thetherapycrouch.com/For more from Peter / petercrouch For more from Abbey / abbeyclancy Our clips channel / @thetherapycrouch-clipsch-om9dy Hosted on Acast. This episode is sponosored by Hulu. Stream PRISON BREAK on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ Internationally. Sarah and Paul focus on the impact of Brad Bellick's death and debate whether his last-minute sacrifice functions as redemption given his history as a corrupt, selfish sadist; they frame it against Wyatt's fate as Mahone tortures him for vengeance, then abruptly kills him, and they question whether the show presents this as “justice served” (including the hero-style shot of Mahone) versus a sign Mahone is unraveling, while noting Pam's role in urging him to act and praising Callie Thorne's performance. They also react strongly to the General kissing Gretchen, reading it as grooming and abusive manipulation that reveals her backstory and possibly implies dark family ties involving Emmy and Lisa. Sarah and Paul do a Wade Williams appreciation and touch on Michael's illness as potential punishment/atonement. On today's episode of The Therapy Crouch, Abbey and Peter are FINALLY back together — this time recording from the middle of New York City after weeks apart — but the reunion gets off to an unforgettable start.Abbey reveals the nightmare journey that almost stopped her family from making it to the US after an ESTA mistake at the airport. Things only get worse when Sophia accidentally says the one word you should never mention to American immigration officers, whilst an abandoned suitcase causes panic in passport control, their driver gives up and leaves without them, and Abbey ends up in tears after one disaster after another.Meanwhile, Peter shares what it was like returning to the England camp during the World Cup to receive his Legacy Cap from Harry Kane, while the pair compare life in Portugal and New York, discuss why Americans might just be the friendliest people in the world, and debate whether Gas has picked up a suspicious new accent.Elsewhere, a listener uncovers a bizarre Peter Crouch football collectible, Gaz explains how he ended up getting tattooed by Matty Healy from The 1975 in a Los Angeles sports bar, and Peter reveals that somewhere out there a fan still has his signature as a tattoo.Plus, Abbey and Peter tackle two Agony Abs: one listener who's devastated after being excluded from her partner's best friend's wedding, and another asking whether long-distance relationships can ever really work. On today's episode, Dr. Mark Costes answers listener questions in this Ask Me Anything special, covering ownership strategy, practice growth, scaling decisions, and the team of advisors every dental owner should build. Mark shares what he would do differently if he were starting over as a new grad, including avoiding practices that are too small to scale, being cautious with overly rural locations, and focusing on demographics, capacity, and long-term exit options. He also discusses when it makes sense to add another doctor, what metrics to watch beyond revenue, and why owners should stabilize their flagship practice before pursuing additional locations.
