I’ve been pushing for first responders to start training on their own and making healthier decisions for years now. Departments will almost never give you time or extra incentive to train. You have to take it upon yourself to do so. You shouldn’t need extra incentive to train. You should want to be the best version of yourself no matter what you do for work. . . I’ve said it a million times now that as a first responder, your level of fitness at any given moment can determine if you live or die. The same goes for your coworkers and the people you’re sworn to protect. Their lives, as well as yours, are literally in your hands. . . I get a lot of heat at work for my social media and being the “workout guy”, “muscle guy”, “meat head”, “juice head” and I’ve dealt with being drug tested almost weekly at some points because I take my training and nutrition seriously, but I know for a fact that if I’m calling for help on a fifth story walk up, I want someone that does the same showing up. I’ve offered my help with nutrition, training, and supplements countless times and continue to do so no matter how much shit people talk. Nick is a proud Texan, raised in Granbury where he learned to shoot, hunt, and appreciate the outdoors with his father and grandfather.  After moving to the Houston area in the Fall of 2012 and discovering 3 gun, he cobbled together some gear from his law enforcement days and headed out to his first 3 gun match where he was instantly hooked on this fast-paced run-and-gun sport. He used the next few years to learn the sport and hone his game.  For 2017, he shot 9 majors across the United States and many of local matches offered in Southeast and North Texas with several top 10 finishes. Cody later got involved in bodybuilding while training for football, he was then introduced to bodybuilding and later that year competed at the 2010 NPC Dallas Europa Supershow, where he won the teen class.
