Matt Ireland is a hard guy to pin down. Not only does he have a full-time job, a family and a restoration project in his garage, he also servers as a part-time EMT, member of the volunteer fire department and a Dallas County Deputy reserve officer. A man of faith and service he lives by the motto, "Give back to the community where you live, work and play." Matt was the Incident Command for EMS the day of the Perry School shooting. Hear how his life dedicated to service, the influence of his late father, and the unfettered support of family, prepared him for that day. We could have went on for hours. One of the best conversations I've had with another father, servant and follower of Christ. Don't miss it.
Derrick and Jeff welcome special guests, Under the Radar for today's intro. Zeke Yarbro, Matt Ireland, and Ryan Halcomb joined the show to promote their upcoming reunion show at Neil's on Friday July 26th, 8pm. These guys are absolute prodigies and had incredible success back when they were all youngsters starting at the age of 11 years old. They opened up for artists such as Saliva, 38 Special, Kansas, and Lover Boy just to name a few playing venues like The Ryman Theatre and Bank Plus Amphitheater all as young children and they were AWESOME!! Today's feature guest is Thomas Halfacre from Halfacre Audio & Lighting. Thomas is a long-time audio and lighting engineer in Memphis and came with some great stories about his time at the Stage Stop, touring with Play Rough, his amazing work for the 50th Anniversary Kiss show at Lafayette's and his work with youth theatre.
